BINGO!

Once again, taking things to their logical conclusion (something that McDumbDumb can't seem to accomplish):
  • “There’s no studies that show that more cops means less murders. It’s what those officers are doing,” McCarthy told the aldermen.
Then let's stop restricting Time Due. Down some beat cars. Leave the "box" to its own devices. Giving people time off when they want it is a win-win. Cops get to have some semblance of a normal life and it reduces future financial liabilities by burning up time on the books.

And McSmokingDope has guaranteed to the aldercreatures that the homicide numbers won't change a bit. It's on the record.

Uh -- in the context of this discussion, it is assumed that street officers are answering calls, providing backup, and reacting to situations as they arise.

The idea is to have more officers to do these things.

Idiot.

McGoofballs and Rahm Emanuel's violence strategy.

How to get police protection in the hood?

We figured it out. The trick is to shoot the other guy first. When you shoot the other guy first CPD will protect you against a retaliatory shooting. Your block will get saturated from the vendetta. It's all police stuff that the churls don't understand. It's how you get crime down.

That my friends is what it boils down to. Just an observation and not a recommendation.

1:57 a.m. CDT, October 26, 2012

Two boys, 12 and 14, were shot in the Roseland neighborhood Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Both are in serious condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. Both sustained stomach wounds, she said.

The two were on the corner of the 108th Street and Eggleston Avenue about 5:25 p.m. when three people emerged from a nearby gangway and at least one opened fire, police said. One of the two lives nearby

The Rand study is ""Hidden in Plain Cite - What Cost-of-Crime Research Can Telll Us About Investing in Police" by Paul Heaton. It's on-line, quite extensive and it includes Chicago data.

It's called presence. It is the #1 tool that we currently lack. No one cares because they know they wont see a squad car go by anytime soon. The 90s had squad cars tripping over themselves around corners. So many officers had to do nothing but be present. We have lost that with this administration.

Think about that next time you’re considering Chicago as a vacation or business destination.

This is why Guns Save Life has recommended our members, friends and families stay away from Chicago as a prudent means to reduce their likelihood of becoming the victim of violent crime.

The only way you can get the police to work harder is not to screw them at every turn, screw them with discipline, screw them with illegitimate promotion process, screw them with re-deployment. You caqn't have it both ways! We police might not be the smartest people in the world but we aren't dumb. Our new strategy for combating crime only has a few kinks to work out:
1. Once a gun is fired, the police will be able to go to where it was fired.
2. When the police get there, they will be able to recover casings (to inventory).
3. I'm sure that the offender will be waiting for the police.
4. The gun used will probably have a GPS, so we know where it is.
5. The car getting to the scene will be there in 20 min. because he is on other calls.
6. The gun will be located, since ALL PERSONS THAT SHOOT PERSONS WITHOUT JUSTIFICATION REGISTER THEIR WEAPONS.
7. The police will have to remain on the crime scene.
8. The statistics will show that the police respond to these shootings faster, but they will be blaming the police for not getting there in time. Shootings will be classified as "death investigation".
9. Knives used in crimes don't make noise like guns.
10. McGoofy will have time to create a new strategy.
11. etc, etc, etc.
12. News media will be told that this is working, and they'ss probably demonstrate how it works. (Hope that there isn't a real shooting near by), otherwise the tracking system will probably crash or freeze.
WE DON'T NEED ANY EXTRA POLICE TO IMPLIMENT THIS PLAN.

To SCC:

Please get the word out there....

I just came from early voting.

The very first thing on the ballot is Prop. 49,
to the right of the screen is the Presidential Ballot.

My eyes were drawn to the Presidential Ballot, it was almost as if the Prop. 49 were some instructions on voting, I almost voted Yes thinking it was instructions as I was more drawn to the Presidential ballot.

Don't get fooled, the first vote to cast is on Prop. 49.

How funny is it that the other 3 referendums on the ballot come at the end, as is always the case - after voting for judges.

Make sure your parents, neighbors, kids, etc.., don't get lax and just vote yes on Prop. 49 because they are too busy looking at the Presidential Ballot.

You know that this was done intentionally by Madigan and the rest of the boy to slip it through.....

Also, expect long lines at early voting. I waited nearly an hour at Mt. Greenwood Park.

Thanks.....

The Mexicans are robbing and killing so many that there are "Mothers' Marches" going on down there, holding up pictures of the ones who disappeared.

Saw a film not too long ago, the freight trains coming up here through Mexico are COVERED with people clinging to the sides and roofs of the cars, like a swarm of ants. People being knocked off by tree branches and killed, gangs roam the trains robbing and raping, etc.

They're Sanctuary City bound!

"...Chicago Tonight just had four aldercreatures on and they said that they want the cops to be more aggressive."

SHEEEEIIIIT!

Real fucking easy to spew this mental and verbal diarrhea when it isn't YOUR ASS in the hopper of the I.P.R.A, CCSAO and USDOJ "We're hunting Cops" wood-chipper...

THE VERY SECOND these alderfools are EVER on the hook like Policemen are, they would STFU with this "We Want The Police To Be Aggressive" nonsense.

Strictly by the numbers Policing (Respond, Report, Notify, Arrest on Signed Complaint of a Victim ONLY and declining to be the armed revenue collectors Tutu of Fire so wishes we would be...) is driving the powers that be insane!

What is happening in Chicago as far as Policing goes is the law enforcement equivalent of a hotdog with NOTHING on it and a glass of warm salty water to wash it down with.

It's called "Your Police Department is in DEEP SURVIVAL MODE. Coppers are being railroaded, jack-potted and sent off on mere pretext in the face of a raging media & political propaganda war against Policemen, their families and their interests.

No mustard, relish, onions, pickle spear or sport peppers for you, Jackson!

The Police USED to give you all that, large fries and a drink...

And the public complained.

The public, the politicians and the media declared war on The Police.

The politicians slowed down hiring to a standstill to show those "out of control cops" and sweet talked the public about "all da money we is savin'" by not hiring.

"Hooray! Eff those outta control Cops."

The Policeman seeing he had such "friends" like these, made himself scarce like a muthafuckah.

"Good! We don't need you!"

5K+ Policemen left the job in a decade's time.

The flesh-eating, apple-picking Greater Urban Dooky-Bird took notice though...

*Hey? Where all da Po-leece y'all usedta have disappear to O_o?*

The lowest common denominators of society rejoiced at The Police finally being made to "go away."

Now?

"Hellooooo? Police? we know you're out there? Hey lookit... We need you guys to be aggressive again. You see... This here crime is kicking our ass and we're kinda scared, ok? Uhh... Police? Hellooo-ooo? Oh c'mon guys! Let bygones be bygones ok?"

"...The whores and politicians (and people) will look up and shout, "save us!"...and I'll whisper, "no."

-Rorschach-
The Watchmen

You've achieved what you've wanted for many years Chicago...

By all means enjoy the end result of this war on The Police and all their concerns while ignoring the fact that as CPD goes, so goes this city.

They should have asked if a crime is less likely to be committed when a police officer is present then when one is not. Then get him to admit that more police officers working the beat means by the simple laws of probability that the chances of a police officer being present is increased. Ergo, the chance, however infinitesimal, of a crime being committed has to go down. End argument.

Dear troll ass bag, yes we get compensatory time for working overtime. This is a great service to the city in that the city doesnt have to pay all that overtime. The officer simply gets a day off, or a half day etc. When i took this job i knew that it would be some years before i was able to work a semi normal schedule. Does that mean that I should be an indentured servant and never be able to see my family or friends? Should i never be able to attend a wedding or a graduation just because i took job of police officer? Or cant i take an extra day off every now and again because im burned out and want to see the kids. So listen up here zippy just because you are jealous doesnt mean you need to start shit. If you want to take compensatory time off take the test for this job and come sit in my squad car going from ghetto domestic to ghetto domestic. Until then pound sand! Sorry for the long post

Is that aggressive enough for those aldermen? I aggressived myself right off the goddamned police department. No more lawsuits. No more stupid bosses. No more bullshit. Aggressive my fucking ass.

Jeez, didn't this idiot know that you have to butcher the animal to be cooked and eaten? You must gut the thing, take out the organs and entrails and intestines and discard them. I'm not too keen on organ meat.

Then you must clean the carcass thoroughly. Cut off the head also, then cook and season to taste.

Myself, I would have a nice stew going with potatoes, carrots, onions, spices and some burgundy wine. You may substitute noodles for the potatoes. Sort of like a Beef bourguignon.

Unfortunately the police cannot be turned back on the way one switches on a light switch. We have been and continue to be fucked with on WAY too many levels. In Chicago, aggressive policing is dead forever. It is only a job now, at least for the sharper guys that is.

There are no studies that show that strict gun laws reduce the murder rate either but that hasn't stopped them.

The fact is that the super is more or less right about the more cops things. The actual studies that target that variable are all over the place, likely depending on the bias of the people doing the so called studies.

Even the "broken windows" and repeat offender programs have mostly mixed results, despite the often glowing reports from those who have tried them.

In all likelihood, the only real answer is to bring some kind of balance back between what behaviors government legislates against, and how it actually enforces those laws.

A very large percentage of the violence the last century or so has been mostly because people want to gamble, use recreational drugs of various kinds, and engage prostitutes and government has strictures against those things.

A lot of places figured that out after the disaster of the Prohibition and quietly allowed this kind of thing unofficially as long as it was more or less kept under control and it worked pretty well. Not an ideal situation, but far better than what we see today.

If you want to deal with violence, deal with the root causes, and it has almost nothing to do with social issues or poverty.

You can affect crime rates with additional manpower in a small area, but mostly it just moves it somewhere else because no government can afford to pay for enough enforcers to actually get rid of the crime as long as there is so much money in it.

Not a cop.

017 1st watch on a friday night--- 3 primary beat cars and wagon down because their are no bodies to put in them--- this has been going on for the whole year but no bid spots opening up in 017 and 016 is just as bad--- 2 more bodies going to the detail unit for 12/13 th periods--- 2 promoted to sgt--- 13 on 2nd watch going on furlo 13th period and officers will be pulled from 1st/3rd watch to cover--- officer safety is being compromised and if an officer is seriously injured because nobody is available to come and help them an OSHA beef will be forthcoming--- copies of the sheets for all 3 watches for the past 3 years are documented and will be readily available for viewing--- the drawdown in manpower across all 3 watches is shocking....

Chicago PD is one of the only cities in the country to grant compensatory time for overtime worked. It would be a shame to lose this benefit which is envied by the private world. Cry too loud and this just might happen. You want a resemblance of a normal life? Why the hell did you take a job that works all hours on every day of the year ?

10/26/2012 09:51:00 AM

Blah, blah, blah...never worked on CPD, Im in the burbs at the 2nd dept Ive worked for. Both have comp time as an option for overtime. As you were informed, it saves the city money to offer comp time first off. Second, if the private world envies this "benefit" tell them go to theblueline.com and they can get some too. They're going to have to get some of a lot of other stuff they don't want on the way to getting their comp time. By the way..I don't care about comp time anyway. SHO ME DA MONEY!
