Not One, But TWO Shootings

The Street Deputy was busy last night.....what?  Oh yeah, sorry.  Got rid of those

  • Chicago police shot a man who turned toward them with a gun while running early Saturday morning, according to officials, one of two overnight shooting incidents that involved officers.

Police tried to stop the man they eventually shot, along with two others, while they were walking on Marquette Boulevard west of Western Avenue in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

[...] While running, the man swung his arm back, police said, while holding a 9-millimeter pistol in his hand, and police opened fire.
And up north:
  • Earlier on the north side, a man shot up a police car near Sunnyside Avenue and Broadway after a brief foot pursuit, police said. Police returned fire but nobody was wounded in the exchange.

Police, patrolling an area near a shooting last week, tried to stop a man they recognized who was walking with two others. Police gave chase as the wanted man and the two others split up.

One of the men stopped, stepped into a combat shooting stance, and shot at the police car that was chasing him. He emptied his revolver, according to police, and continued running.

When police did catch him, he quickly dropped the gun and gave up, police said.
No police hurt.  Watch yourselves.

"Not two, but MANY shootings!"

A sample of last night --

No matter how far they run, the block reclaims its own --

"A dark SUV heading east on 71st Street pulled up on the 7100 block of Eggleston Avenue and someone inside opened fire...hitting Lafayette Johnson...He lived in the 2600 block of West 89th Street in Evergreen Park and died where he fell.

Woman shot in the head and critically wounded on Chicago's Northwest side

"A 21-year-old woman was shot in the head and critically wounded in the Cragin neighborhood this morning...The woman was shot about 9:10 a.m. in the 4800 block of West Wolfram Street in the Cragin neighborhood...paramedics took the woman in "extremely critical" condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center..."

You know what else they are getting rid of? The forensic investiagtors, ie crime lab. And sending ets out on police shootings. Ri-goddamn-diculous.

And I'm not knocking ets, because I am one.

But when shit hits the fan, I want someone who has the most experience with *police shootings*. I want to know that I'm going home at the end of the night and my checking acct will also be safe in 2 yrs when that mutt's family tries suing.

Why bother stopping these stupid thugs- if they want to kill each other then WHO CARES!!! This fkn city does not give a flying fk about any of us and the justice system here does nothing but pander and excuse all the evil deeds done by these low-lifes. Do you think the ASA will approve and charge these ghetto rats with attempted murder like they should??- HELL NO. They will get off with agg assault at best, and why? Because the judges are softer than puppy sh!t and juries are nothing but sympathetic to all the gang banging trayvones and dashawns of the world. And it is nothing short of an outrageous miscarriage of justice and denouncement of law enforcement. Ask yourself what really matters in life. If your family and friends are not at the top of that list then you need to re-evaluate your priorities, or have your head examined. To those that say "you are the police and it's your job to stop them anyway"; my response: When the same known piece of sh*t has been arrested, detained, and appeared before a judge dozens of times for the same sh*t over and over - drugs, assault, battery, weapons, etc. - then I've done my job, someone or several others are not doing his/her/their job(s). This bs has been going on before we were born and will continue long after we are gone as long as the same policies and system continue. Do your job, but pick your battles; a citizen getting robbed, a copper needs help, burglary ip - I give 100%. Cleofus and Ray Ray hangin on the corner- no skin off my ass. Go home safe to your families- they appreciate you, no else does. They never martyr officers, only saints.

SCC-- the True News USA crew are really Kings Of Photoshop.

Dig this bullet-riddled Chicago flag -- might be just the thing for your masthead here, and for the "STAY OUT OF CHICAGO -- TOO DANGEROUS!" flyers inspired by those in Detroit.

Make the Mayor scream and kick furniture around...

As a grateful Uptown resident, I saw that there were no comments and just want to say thank you, Officers, for all that you're trying to do here. It's an uphill battle, thanks to what Helen left us with, but if we all pull together against the "thugs" and work with the police and our new alderman, we can get it done.

And after the 1/2 crime lab + an ET was done for the night w one police shooting. 2 ET's on the other, 2 on a homicide. That left 3 to handle the rest of the shootings and mayhem. But the city says no to promoting more ET's or even putting light duty po's inside so ET's can get out of the hiding spots in Homan Sqr. and work the street.

Those POs in the shooting up north are very lucky. They were in the 19 district and on a different zone . Nobody knew they needed help until after the incident and someone thought to go over the air in 19. Heads up boys and girls.

Shooting in 019, should be a wake up call for all that cross districts when doing work, dope, gangs etc. That shooting was heard on zone 11, 020 and 024 and not in the district of occurrence. By the time 019 heard it, a 10-1 had already been called and cars from 020 and 024 were already in 019. Way too long for a PO to be in that situation. Very competent POs were only a few blocks away but never heard the call. Moy from 020 was there before many district cars showed up. After all said and done, POs not hurt but a BIG learning event. BTW, the mutt should have been killed when the POs stopped him running on Broadway, he still had the gun in his hand!!
