An Atlantic police helicopter has crashed in the city, authorities say, killing two officers.
ATLANTA — Authorities say an Atlanta police helicopter searching for a missing 9-year-old child crashed in that city during the night, killing the two officers aboard.
"One of our helicopters went down and two officers were killed," police spokesman Carlos Campos said without elaborating. No other injuries were reported.
Campos told The Associated Press by phone that the helicopter went down about 10:30 pm. Saturday at an intersection of two major highways in the city's northwestern reaches.
Campos said authorities don't yet know details of the events leading up to the crash. He said authorities were working with federal aviation authorities on the scene. He says no one was hurt or killed on the ground.
A local NBC affiliate quoted witnesses as saying the helicopter had been flying low and clipped power lines before the crash, causing an outage.
You can have a 3 hour time difference and the usual assholes still wouldn't make it to roll call on time. Usual assholes not limited to just the DSS and sergeancy.
And before I forget, a tip of the chapeau to this poster:

I did in fact forget to change my clock (first time ever) and got to the station more than an hour before roll call. I will never make that mistake again :( balls were busted all day
In the NYPD, we refer to a marked squad car as a RMP for Radio Motor Patrol. We do NOT use the word "cruiser".
We have other lingo of which you are probably unaware. We call it "cooping". You call it "going in the hole".

If you're registered AND if you show up.
How many pension fund ballots were cast? What % ?
You have had two weeks of early voting, did you do it?
Now you have to change your schedule Tues to vote sometime in a twelve hour time spand. Can you fit it in? What if there's a line?
What if someone says, "Let's grab a beer!" Will you say, "Nooooo, I got to vote."
IF YOU DON'T VOTE, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT to BITCH.

Wrong blog. Head on over to Thee Rant, New Yorker.
Just do away with daylight savings time. Leave the clock alone.
