An Altar Boy

  • A 15-year-old boy with nearly 20 arrests on his record has been charged with armed robbery after he held up a man near his home, police said.

It was Jesus Castaneda’s 19th arrest, according to police, and his second gun-related charge. He was last arrested in August 2012 for unlawful use of a weapon, police said.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, Castaneda robbed a man at gunpoint in the 6300 block of South Francisco Avenue in the Marquette Park neighborhood. Castaneda lives about two miles away, in the 4300 block of West 63rd Street.
It is almost a 100% certainty that we'll be reading about Jesus right after he meets up with Chalkie within the next 5 years.

A 15 yr old, who had a UUW arrest in Aug, gets arrested for an armed robbery..,nice kid. I'm thinking he didn't purchase those firearms legally either...but the law-abiding citizen can't have one. And who, exactly, raised him??!! Rahm may want to know.

Chalkie, put this piece of shit at the top of your list.

This is where the hard punishments should start.
Cook county juvenile court system is a joke!
How many felony convictions can a juvenile get and still walk the streets. They don't serve time and no deterrence for committing more violent crimes.

that's a bit too optimistic, in my humble opinion.

Also add to the fact that the juvenile detention facility has 1000 beds/rooms. Six years ago it was running at full capacity. Today it is maxed out at 200 beds per the orders of Cook County Board President Preckwinkle. Say what you want about Todd Stroger even though the juvy detention facility cost the county a ton of money he didn't compromise on public safety.

Not a cop. A friend of mine had a cousin who was like Jesus, bad kid, crimes at 12, armed robbery, stealing cars. His family thought it was funny, and I mean it. They would laugh. Well long story short, there was a story out a year or so about a cop working as a clown on the south side. A man tried to rob him and take his gun. Well thankfully the cop won that battle and put the man down Turns out it was my buddy's cousin. 16 years young and dead on the ground. The family actually was entertaining the thought of a lawsuit. No shit. Now I know there are situations that call for leniency, but this kid was ruined early. And sad to say, there are hundreds more like him. What the fuck is going on? And I will end my comment on this. If you are 12, 13 and robbing with pistols, there is no hope.

Give him a chance to design the next city sticker, then have his photo taken with Rahm Emanuel to show that this kid's criminal behavior is acceptable and represents "Chicago's values," then have a blow-up of the sticker design on display at the U.S. Capitol, per Rep. Luis Gutierrez.

It all happened once before in Chicago, why not again?

What a fine example of a "world class city" we have going here!

hmmmm.. The media labels this as a "rambling manifesto" because in doing so the reader conjures up an image of crazy man non-sense that's not worth your time reading. Is it? You decide.

Christopher Dorner: Uncensored Manifesto of a deranged former LAPD officer

Look at all those bullet holes.

Women delivering newspapers in Torrance shot in manhunt for ex-cop

Regardless if this man is "derange" or not, what kind of procedures does LAPD have that allows the LAPD to shoot up innocent people like that with no accountability?

A 71 y/o Asian women shot 11 times because ya know..she looks like a 260 M-1 ex-cop....and who knows how many bullet holes are in that pickup!

This ex-cop is now becoming a hero to many as Facebook fan pages are popping up all over the place. That's not good. But neither is LAPD's response.

    Meanwhile - Perfect timing eh?

I agree %100. An the next time we hear about him his family will be saying that he was a good kid, honor roll, never in trouble with the law, turning his life around & didn't deserve to die.

If only we had a CCW law in effect when this POS robbed this guy he could of saved the tax payers a lot of money.

OT: WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia prosecutors received scores of emails from citizens upset because NBC television journalist David Gregory was not criminally charged for displaying a high-capacity ammunition magazine on his "Meet the Press" show.

Prosecutors received roughly 50 emails demanding that Gregory be charged, plus more than 150 others expressing outrage in the days after officials decided to not prosecute him. The Associated Press obtained the messages through a public records request.

The emails were sent by people from around the country, including some self-identified gun owners and Second Amendment supporters, who accused prosecutors of hypocritically and unevenly enforcing D.C.'s strict gun laws and of giving Gregory preferential treatment.
