SNOW!!!!!

Once again, the media is shocked to discover it snows in the Upper Midwest in February:
  • A winter storm warning for up 6 to 10 inches of snow has been issued for Lake and McHenry Counties, and a winter weather advisory for other Chicago-area counties has been extended into Wednesday as a strong storm made travel hazardous and grounded hundreds of flights.

The National Weather Service has extended its winter weather advisory in Cook, DuPage, Kane and DeKalb counties until 6 a.m. Wednesday, and has upgraded Lake and McHenry counties to a winter weather warning, also until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Next up, summer is hot, water is wet, and the sun rises in the east.

By the way, if the city can tow your car off a snow route, it's gone already.

You're right about the City towing the cars within ten seconds of a snowfall, SCC, but they're in no hurry to salt or plow.
Spent the day on the northwest side and never saw a plow or salter on Pulaski, Kedzie, Kimball, California, Belmont, Montrose, Lawrence... during the first two hours of the snowfall. We made a game of it, we were looking for them, but we never saw or even heard one. Never saw evidence one had been there, either. Not til nearly 1400.
For the serfs, crossing a street was suicidal, driving was treacherous, visibility was nil, but I betcha anywhere Rahm went today, he was preceded by a fleet of plows and salt trucks.

Remember when we were kids and it used to snow in November and go all the way thru March? Even a few Opening Days that had snow flurries. This snow was pretty heavy and wet, but jeez, it wasn't Snowmageddon.

Fcuk the media! One channel's commercial say "Breaking news on the snow update at 10!" WTF No wonder we are going broke in this state if a snow update is breaking news. They couldn't find a story on the corruption or waste in government, but SNOW !
BTW How come there is no big uproar on Bush causing the gas to close to $5.00? Oh that's right they are stilling trying to find a way to pin it on Bush. But in the State of the Union OB said that we are pumping more oil then ever. Where is it?

Yeah, those were the days when we used to go out and have snow-ball fights and skitch (skeetch for you southsiders!) on the back of school buses! These days, the kids have NO idea of the fun we used to have...!

If you go to the city's website they have a link to a program where you can actually track the plows. It was fun to watch them bunched up in areas and speculate who lives there. Check it out....

Yeah, he's pumping more oil than ever. Pumping it right to China who has no oil of it's own and must depend on the U.S. of A. for it's supply. And Obama can't refuse because China is buying the U.S. debt paper.

And don't let them snooker you. Gasoline is high because gasoline futures are being bid high in the commodities market. Watch the movie "Trading Places" starring Dan Akroyd and Eddie murphy and you'll get some idea of how the game is played.

You can pump all the oil you want, but you need refineries.

The sissy liberals have determined that refineries are too icky.
