Andrew Cuomo said this afternoon that he'd like the state's legislature to consider all options in debating new gun control measures, including "confiscation" of "assault" weapons or "mandatory sales to the state" and "permitting."
- Missouri - Democrats in Missouri introduced startling anti-gun legislation that would require gun owners to hand over their legally purchased so-called “assault weapons” to “the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction” within 90 days.
Under the proposed bill, “Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.”
- California - Law abiding gun owners in California have to feel uneasy after Democrats rolled out a massive gun control package on Thursday, which includes strict ammunition regulations and even a bill that allows potential confiscation of the state’s 166,000 legally registered semi-automatic rifles.
- Washington - Forget police drones flying over your house. How about police coming inside, once a year, to have a look around?
As Orwellian as that sounds, it isn’t hypothetical. The notion of police home inspections was introduced in a bill last week in Olympia.

Why did the Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) recently purchase 1.6 BILLION (1,600,000,000) rounds of ammunition, mostly hollow points? That's over five rounds for each American citizen.
Hollow point bullets are NOT used on the range for target practice.

the problem is, when Anita says that the 7th circuit decision does not apply to illinois, and she says that she will prosecute citizens with guns (and a foreign concealed carry permit, and McGuyfromNYC tells his CPD officers to not stop arresting people for possessing guns, where does that leave us?? it's not like i would expect a police officer to risk his/her job by NOT arresting whom he is told to, but, how does that make any sense to a regular citizen? what are WE non LEO's to do? we write and call, but the constitution is meaningless (4th, 5th, 2nd, 1st) all are out the window in illinois, and we are then at the mercy of the individual LEO to do the 'right' thing and risk his job, or to 'do what his superiors tell him to' and risk a law suit, not to mention, what it's like for a law abiding person to be arrested and go to jail etc. a fine mess we have.

Parallels are being made between what is happening now and the dictatorships and elitist governments of the past.
The stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by DHS, the attacks on the 2nd amendment, the attempts to hamstring the Internet, the takeover of mainstream print, radio and television news services determined to distribute only the party line.
Education, from pre-school to post graduate school, is designed to imprint liberal, socialistic programming to our children.
Soon we will be in a fight for the life of our America and by extrapolation our lives.

If you're a good, caring, law abiding American citizen, why shouldnt I be able to keep my right to bear arms; to defend myself and my family from all the evil people in this dangerous world we live in. Prosecutors in Chicago are telling state lawmakers they can essentially ignore a federal court ruling and not legalize concealed carry in Illinois.
The Illinois House on Tuesday held the first of two statewide hearings on how to legally allow people to carry a gun in the state. Illinois is the only state in the nation that bars anyone from carrying a pistol outside their home. In December, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals said Illinois must change that.
But Paul Castiglione, policy director for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office, told lawmakers there is no need for a new law.
“Only the Illinois Supreme Court can declare a statue from (the legislature) unconstitutional,” Castiglione told lawmakers Tuesday. “I heard (someone) say that after 180 days our UUW (unlawful use of weapon) statute is unconstitutional. Not so.”

In its peak month, the Iraq War required our military to use 5.5 million rounds of ammo.
5.5 million rounds per month. 70 million rounds per year. Enough ammo for the equiv. of a 20 year Iraq war.

You sir have not done your job. My wife, also a teacher, was a little too left of center when we met. She had a great ass, so I married her anyway.
I spent my life educating her and won her over to the 'right' side. She has, in turn, educated many of her fiends. She even yells at the TV sometimes. Education is a gift that keeps on giving. It is our duty to provide that education. Don't give up.
Called in and got the NRA Lifetime membership yesterday. The line is still open and they are OH SO HAPPY to get the membership.
I don't agree with everything they spout but they seem to be (are) the only thing standing between us and loss of everything to the scum bag politicians.
Does anyone have any sort of historical incident or historical circumstances as to why IL politicians are SOOOO opposed to concealed carry?
Which politician started the fear-mongering and has kept it alive?
What makes IL pols think they are impervious to higher court rulings?
Anybody?

Your wife is a low-information voter that we hear about. She needs to see some facts and figures on where this country stands, and who is responsible for it, and what we need to do to return this country to the Constitution, Liberty and Freedom.

And for you, there is www.nra.com, www.oathkeepers.org. You understand what is at stake and I wish you the best in the re-education of your wife. She did marry a smart man, and there is hope for her that she will see the light as well.
Here's the problem as long as they can get the masses to comform they will take more and more power.. it the boiling pot theory.. put a frog in a pot of hot water it will jump out..
put a frog in cold water and turn on the heat slowly to a boil the frog will remain in the pot and boil.. that is just what they are doing to us.. starts with simple seemly well intentioned ideas in one state such as the NO SMOKING BAN.. SEAT BELT LAWS.. etc.. than they have the police or another government agency enforce them making them also part of the Politicians personal army against the citizens who pay them.. and a co-conspirator...they figure if they tell the police to go gather the guns they will.. What I wonder is just how many actually will..
Oh SCC you is my guy (guys). Every once in a while they need to hear it from a cop. Cops know what's wrong. They deal with the debris of it all day everyday
