Someone sent me this to pass along...

Border Security - do not shy away from this video please.
Powerful Video you should see produced by the NRA (National Rifle Association), but you need to be aware of this as a citizen of the U.S.A. For those of you who may not know, Sheriff Larry Dever, white cowboy hat and blue/white checkered shirt is the long time sheriff of Cochise County. Sierra Vista, where I live, is the largest town in Cochise County. Cochise County is huge and borders Sonora, Mexico. The bald-headed guy is the Sheriff of Pima County. Tucson, AZ, is in Pima County.
This video doesn't say so, but I've seen videos taken on Hwy 8, going from I-10 north of Tucson, thru Gila Bed and on to CA has a sign warning drivers not to stop or pick up hitchhikers because so many are illegals who have illegally come across the border from Mexico. They can be Mexican or of any other foreign country.
Powerful!! And absolutely factual!

http://videos.allinnra.com/share

Please take the time to view and pass it on as you see fit.

My stats aren't too shaby. Like working and even though I don't personally care for most of my supervisors they know I'll work. I don't have any affiliation w/The NRA. As a matter if fact I'm not saying anything positive or derogatory about the lobbying organization, but w/or w/out The NRA I still consider myself a real cop. Comments like the above are the comments that give The NRA's rigid negative perception fuel for those who oppose.

I was in st Louis last year, for a different reason but it turned out to be the NRA convention. I went and joined I am a cpd officer with 20 yrs on. I am by far a gun nut but the NRA teaches responsible ownership and protects every legal citizens right to protect themselves. So how can that be a bad thing if you don't join and or promote their agenda you have no one to blame but yourself.

I've been a NRA life member for over twenty years. But I am a little disenchanted with the NRA over their hard stance against all forms of gun control.

Current law preventing gun shops from selling guns to convicted felons is gun control. Is it unreasonable to expect the same restrictions at gun shows? The NRA thinks so.

I've considered cancelling my paid-for life membership, but instead have written to the NRA to let them know of my views. Gun control, when reasonable, makes perfect sense.

We must keep the Progressive agenda at the forefront and together with the Workers continue to move Forward!

Our Leaders provide the guidance that is constantly being ignored by those who refuse to belong to our collective hive mind.

Do not believe the NRA's lies that historically, guns were taken away from those that had toed the political line before and were of no further use. The Government is ever benevolent and will always take care of you and the rest of us.

Make no mistake-when everyone gets disarmed, the Police will be next. How about the Police having to leave their guns at the station and only be able to have a gun at work.

Think it won't happen here? Think England.

The NRA certainly isn't perfect, but they have a lot of public exposure and get noticed.

Check Feinstein's bill,(and others like it) in the Senate. If that doesn't upset you, move to Europe or some other progressive area and leave America to us Americans.

Speaking of gun issues, NRA membership has never been more important with the onslought of attacks on our rights.Feinstien and company are at it again as usual. First black rifles, now ammo and anything with a magazine is being snatched up by the citizenry. The Glock 19, one of Americas favorite 9mm pistols, is fast approaching double in price. If you live in a border area,(AZ,NM) you need a black rifle or at least a bad ass shotgun with a good pistol to back it up. Illegals are on the rampage down there posing a serious threat to ranchers and land owners. God help the US of A.

I can think of a couple reasons why people may not want to join the NRA. I joined last year and bought the one year membership for $50.00. I was happy to do it. It wasn't more than a week later that the NRA was calling again to upgrade the membership for an additional fee, which I did. A few weeks later the appeals for yet more money started coming in from the NRA to defeat Obama, again I gave. The last straw was the DVD they sent last year which I never opened, apparently it was a trial offer for a series of DVD's. I can't find it. I probably threw it out with the junk mail. Now I'm getting the letters from the NRA telling me to send it back or pay 12.99. What a fucking joke. Somebody's getting rich from this shit, and it ain't us. If you will let them the NRA will bleed you dry. Just another bloated lobbying group taking Senators and Congressmen to expensive lunches and and lavish golf trips on our dime. I'm through with them.

Dear fellow NRA-member: The reason the NRA is against all forms of gun control is because those politicians who advocate gun control have a secret agenda: they want to take away as many gun rights as possible, little by little, until someday (they hope) we be like England, with no rights to a handgun at all...that is truly their dream!

Have you ever heard the expression, "give them an inch and they'll take a mile"? The 2nd Amendment does not confer gun rights to us; it merely affirms that the government will not infringe upon our God-Ordained right to self-defense, and in a world where guns exist, that right to a gun is, yes, God-Given.

When you allow government to give or grant rights, you are then giving government permission to remove those rights at the discretion of government. God given rights are time immemorial despite man's best efforts in trying to extinguish those rights.

Why is it the 2nd Amendment is the only amendment that liberals want to limit or infringe, though the 2nd Amendment states, "shall not be infringed"?

The definition of "infringe":
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/infringe
1: to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another

What is there not to understand?

The NRA thru the NRA-ILA help to persevere the God given right accorded to every citizen in the 2nd Amendment.

If you want to give a donation, give to the NRA-ILA - https://nraila.org/get-involved-locally/secure/donate.aspx.

More here about what the NRA-ILA does http://nraila.org

The NRA is the only organization fighting to ensure the rights of Americans as outlined in the 2nd Amendment "shall not be infringed", unlike the democrats and progressives/socialists, who at every opportunity seeks to diminish or infringe thru laws or regulations. Obama and his cabal are not the friends of the 2nd Amendment.

"An official publication of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA)" has applauded Obama for his efforts on gun control.
Here: http://www.peoplesworld.org/fight-to-end-gun-violence-is-key-to-defending-democracy/

About US - http://www.peoplesworld.org/about-us

"The editorial mission is partisan to the working class, people of color, women, young people, seniors, LGBT community, to international solidarity; to popularize the ideas of Marxism and Bill of Rights socialism. The websites enjoy a special relationship with the Communist Party USA"

"Peoplesworld.org is a daily news website of, for and by the 99% and the direct descendant of the Daily Worker."

When the democrats and progressives/socialist have emasculated the 2nd Amendment to the point of it becoming irrelevant is when this nation ceases to exist as we know it today.

I joined the NRA and the Illinois State Rifle Assn years ago when I saw that the clear intent of our democratic leaders was to ban all firearms and confiscate them . These liberal leaders drive people into these organizations when they are caught voicing their true intent, that is, one law at a time until they have the votes to inact a total ban. Pelosi and Feinstein said as much only a few weeks ago.

1/26/2013 08:54:00 AM

Typical reasoning of a demorat. As with any demorat, when they shout modify, compromise, it is always on the conditions of the demorats. No one is for felons to have guns and we have background checks and a waiting period in Illinois and in other states. The alleged "assault weapon" that was used at Sandy Hook was already banned and in fact their is doubt that even the semi-auto Bushmaster was even used. But don't let this tradgey go to waste to call for gun control. Funny obama didn't sound the alarm for gun control when over 400 children Chicago children were shot and over 60 killed before Sandy Hook. Obama didn't shed a tear for them. The clinton AW Ban was in effect as was the Chicago total ban on handguns and neither helped to stop the shootings and killings in Chicago. Demorats always cloak their arguments in reasonableness and compromise while never standing by it. When, per FBI stats, rifles of all types only commit 5% of the homicides and handguns commit the majority, while even knifes kill more people than rifles, per FBI stats, why the don't the demorats call for a Handgun Ban? Because the demorats know that that proposal would never fly nor would anyone believe a handgun is an Assault Weapon. Yet because rifles that are black look scary they get away with calling them Assault Weapons and classify what items define an Assault Weapon. How many people have been killed by a bayonet lug? How many people have been killed by a grip? How many people have been killed by a collaspable stock? But all these and more define an Assault Weapon. Such is the logic of demorats. While handguns used by the mentally ill, gang banger and criminal is the means most ascribed to kill adults and children. And it is the three aforementioned groups who don't follow the law, didn't follow the Clinton AW Ban and Daley's Handgun Ban. So what makes one believe these groups will follow the new AW Ban. The Assault Weapons listed in Feinstein's Bill is so encompassing that only a fool would believe that those weapons are the source of all the homicides.

What is the demorat plan to prevent the bad guys from obtaining weapons, since it has been shown that bad guys don't follow the law? Only the good people follow the law. As Feinstein said her Bill is meant to dry up the availabilty of weapons with no sunset date in the Bill.

When the demorats limit the number of bullets in magazine from 15 to 12 to 10 to 7, what is there to believe that down the road the limit won't be set at 5? Even Cuomo in his Bill forgot to exempt cops until someone pointed it out to him. And when magazine hold no more than a revolver, at what time will 6 bullets be too many. The woman who shot the home invader 5 times was lucky she only faced one befcause she no more bullets to use in the handgun.

Before the demorats and their tools shout compromise and reasonableness, maybe they should first figure a way to keep the bad guy from obtaining weapons without impacting the rights of those who follow the law.

before you know it, everything will be a 'felony' and everyone, including you, will be a default felon.
