Premiums to Triple?
As everyone with a brain (which means the right side of the political spectrum) predicted, you can't get something for nothing:
- A California insurance broker, who sells health plans to individuals and small businesses, told me that she’s prepping her clients for a sticker shock. Her local carriers are hinting to her that premiums may triple this fall, when the plans unveil how they’ll billet the full brunt of Obamacare’s new regulations and mandates.
California is hardly alone. Around the country, insurers are fixing to raise rates by double digits. They’re privately briefing politicians in Washington on what’s in store. Those briefings are leaving a lot of folks up and down Pennsylvania Avenue jumpy.
What’s gives? President Obama, after all, said he’d prevent these sorts of prices. His new health law gave state regulators the power to block premium increases. It even created a federal agency to oversee insurance rates. But these bureaucrats are spectators to the price hikes. They’re mere wallflowers. Even in the bluest of states.
Their silence is the best evidence of who is culpable for the increases. It’s the policymakers. It’s Obamacare. The President is accepting the premium hikes as an allowable consequence of his healthcare policies.
Pelosi told everyone that Congress had to pass the law to find out what's in it, because so many pages were blank and entire sections of the law were as yet, unwritten. Now that the blanks are being filled, economic realities are setting in and the national debt, already increasing at an unsustainable $1.1 trillion per year, will really take off starting in 2014, by some counts at over $20 trillion in the first four years.
This, of course, will lead to price controls, triggering a massive economic slowdown, and end in the rationing of health care for certain "unaffordable" procedures. And who will make these decisions for you? Groups of bean-counters, crudely labeled as "death panels" by right wing politicians, but death panels all the same if they deny grandma treatment based on "need."

Now that 10,000 a day are leaving the workforce, stock market, & drawing retirement benifits the contraction is brutal. The fact is govt. spent the funds payed into these programs on other things.
Solution ?
An all inclusive government administered health care program that puts treatment and ultimatly, outcomes in the influence of the same people who stole the funds.
The debters can now control how long the creditors live and by extension how much they must pay back.

I once lived under a national health system that was broke. My dad at 70 had a heart attack hours after surgery and it took 3 days for me to get the doc to admit this had happened and treat him for it. He was old enough to die...he did but,it took a 3 month hospital stay and secondary infections to bring him down. This is how I imagine health care will become in Illinois.
Don't forget Justice Roberts, who paved the way for it to become "Constitutional."

EVERYONE needs to remember this and consider how it will effect your pension and retirement as the politicians will attempt to play with your cost of living (COLA's ) adjustments on your retirement benefits.
With healthcare costs increasing, easily doubling what the cost of living numbers are that means this is not a one-time shot to our disposable income. It get's worse each year forward.
Prepare yourself for the barrage of "we're trying to SAVE your pension and healthcare" propaganda. How are they going to "save it" by cutting it and they will then pronounce how proud they all are to sign this bill that puts us all into a poverty life style in retirement.

Here is something you can believe in; tax and fee increases across the board for the middle class are being proposed by the social democrats led by Obama. Pelosi has just said as much. Look for proposed reductions or eliminations of many tax deductions for the middle class. It has to come, that is where the money is and the democrats have to march on with their increase in social programs. Get ready to feel the pain.

I know quite a few coppers that still vote democrat, they just don't get it and never will. Together we can.
Americans have become apathetic. They don't care. A very small minority fight it's wars and a big part of our military comes from hispanics, legal and illegal. We have been fighting a Long War for over a decade and who really cares?
ObamaCare was designed to destroy the best healthcare system in the world because it was working in contrast to the social programs the Progressives had designed. Programs like social security and medicare were designed for a populous that was no longer productive for the growth and upkeep of the society. People that no longer work were no a drain but it was an acceptable burden because our lifespans were short. The American healthcare system changed that unexpectedly when people were no living longer and longer. The Progressives had not factored that in these programs. ObamaCare should be able to bring back the mortality rate to what they wanted.
The Government forced socialized medicine down our throats and there was only a minor rumble. We are just accepting it like sheeps.
They are now taking our guns away and will eventually take yours. Comrade Janet Napolitano has armed her Homeland Security Department and bought more ammunition then the military requires to fight three wars at the same time. Nobody asked why?
Pensions: These were programs that were promised that appeared to give a certain sector of workers a better retirement then the rest. It won votes for the Progressives but, what is going to happen when the well runs dry? The Progressives that made those promises are no longer in office or alive. When there is no money, where will it come from? We're $16 Trillion in debt at the moment, how long can this farce continue?
