"Violate General Orders" They Ordered

Fantastic:
  • Off topic New VRI rule.

recently I was assigned to the 1800roll call VRI at 61st and racine. As usual the Lt in charge gave his nightly speech about the daily changes to VRI and you wont believe this change.

It seems that there was a shooting in one of the "boxes" and Gerogas and Pattison wanted to know where the car was that was assigned to the affected box was at during the shooting. So after Gerogas and Pattison find out that the car assigned to the box where the shooting occurred was inputting contact cards from their VRI tour the following change has been implemented.

Officers who work VRI will not be allowed to leave the "BOX" to relocate to the closest district to input contact cards initiated during VRI. Instead, Officers will instead input the VRI contact cards during their next regular tour of duty. WOW!

I recall a General Order that states, "officers will complete all reports they initiated during their tour of duty prior to the end of their tour of duty".

SO now Georgas and Pattison(kool aid drinkers) are rewriting General Orders at their whim?

YOu cant make this shit up.
Makes you wonder how these guys passed a test.

UPDATE: Paul Geiger has no opinion on this post.

They're guidelines only as long as they're not hunting for something with which to hang you.

I heard the same when I worked this past week. I also heard the L T speak of the new "vri infraction" form. Huh? A new disciplinary process outside of the established process? Whats considered an infraction? How many can one accrue and what is the punishment? Are records kept? Anybody hear any info on this?

I posted a comment a few weeks ago about Georges and a incident that happened in the projects. It was about a disturbance in one of the buildings while I was working CHA. He comes over the air and says "I am giving a dispersal order through out the dist, If any gang member returns arrest them off of the dispersal".
That was hilarious, if you took the class you know you can't give a dispersal throughout the whole dist.

Then the incident where he gets a CR on the cops who were working in the lobby when there was a shooting on the 9th or 10th floor.

I keep saying this guy is a bozo and some of his loved ones keep defending him. To all you idiots who love him so much, lets see you follow his stupid ass orders and see where it gets you. The guy is a stone cold idiot and has no idea about how to be a police officer or how to understand gen orders.

When you work VRI, you still get two personals and one lunch. Wait till summer when it really gets hot and all the shootings start happening. I will let you in on a TOP SECRET, Steve Georges only cares about himself and his position. Clout heavy stupid BITCH.

So it sounds to me like the "contact card" thing actually caused this murder. LOL, Interesting. To all my fellow boys and girls dressed in blues on your RDOs I highly recommend starting a business or doing something not related to LEO. I make so much more money with my biz and don't have so stroke bag LT yelling at me on my RDOs. I used to work RDOs doing the DUI task force and got into with a big, fat, slob LT over there and it was the best thing that happened to me. Haven't looked back since and make my normal police pay on my RDOs. Do something guys. You can do it.

If he's leaving paper (at least that's what he said and based on the roll call bullshit from Lt PK I don't doubt it), how soon before the BS trickles down to the blueshirts?

Ironically the car who did absolutely nothing and therefore had no reason to make copies stays on their box and gets no ridicule. Meanwhile the guys who at the least attempted to make it appear they are working are crucified and probably not assigned again. Had a Sgt. ride with me to find movers for me. Felony arrests weren't good enough.

That lasted about 50 mins. He ordered me to drop him off at the station. And never mentioned it again.

I guess that near-death driving experience and the traffic stop with 4 gang bangers did it.
