St. Baldrick's Thank You
From our friends who help run the show:
- There are 341 more bald heads in Chicago than there were on March 21st and thanks to the members of the CPD and their friends and family we should again surpass $100,000 raised to fight childhood cancer through our 2013 St. Baldrick’s events . The on line total is at just under $85,000 so far and that does not include checks that have been mailed in to St. Baldrick’s. It’s not too late to donate to your newly bald co-workers if you didn’t get a chance before the big day. While we fell nine heads short of our goal of 350 participants, it was still a great event and with several new faces this year, there’s no doubt we’ll surpass 350 next year!
To all who helped put our three events together, thank you very much for all you did. I always single out Bill Murphy for his work in 022’s event and Anne Zamzow for her help in 025, but I know they have many more who help them get ready for, and more importantly get through the day. To all who helped them, including the treasurers, barbers, floor sweepers, donation getters, and everyone else who made the day possible, thank you.
For all who stepped up to get their heads shaved while seeking donations, you’re amazing, especially the women who were all stunning when they were done. The enthusiasm you display, and the courage to go through with this, especially when it’s the first time and you don’t know what you’re going to look like, make our day that much better, so on behalf of all of us who put it together thank you.
To SCC, for all of the postings and help spreading the word, thank you as well. Amazing what an insignificant blog can accomplish.
We will be back again next year, I’m sure the week before or after St. Patrick’s Day, so if you didn’t make it this year start planning now.
Until we find a cure,
Bill O’Reilly
See you next year Bill.

Bill is the real deal - a very decent guy, a good policeman, a responsible dad, someone who cares. Wishing you continued success in your quest, Bill, and all the others who tirelessly work for this cause.
I just want to reiterate what a great idea and cause this is.
Way to go, ladies and gentlemen.
Thank you to Bill, Anne & Billy for doing these events. SCC thanks also goes to you for getting the word out.
Can we put a Photoshoped BALD Rahm reading paper photo here?
Murph I know your family is looking down at you from heaven and proud of all that you've been doing with cancer charities.
Bill and Anne great job too.
SCC thanks for helping out.
Cancer Survivor since 2003
Great job McLovin!
Once again, Chicago's Finest finally recognized for something good, even if it's only on an 'insignificant blogsite.'
The people who really count know.
We salute you, brothers and sisters ALL!
It was great and I still have the mullet.

NO.
Don't tarnish a good and uplifting post.
God Bless everyone involved with St. Baldrick's. This is one charity that I feel good giving to, knowing the money is going for a good cause.
Great job to all of you who shaved your heads! And here I thought it was to cover a bad beef, J/K. Proud of you all.
