Police Kill Man With Knife

  • Chicago Police shot and killed a man who attacked his ex-wife with a foot-long butcher knife after “laying in wait” outside her Gage Park neighborhood home Sunday night, authorities said.

“This is, without a doubt, a classic example of Chicago Police serving and protecting,” Fraternal Order of Police spokesman Pat Camden told reporters. “They wind up saving the woman’s life.”

Read the entire article - they certainly did save her life.

Very well done Officers.

The Michigan Attorney General vowed to aggressively defend the Michigan Constitution and protect the middle class pensions of Detroits police and firefighters.

Can he move to Illinois please.

Off-topic, but for all those who complain that there is no dialogue about race in this country, please check out the CNN segment Don Lemon did last weekend. It's called No Talking Points. He began by taking about crime in the black community, black on black crime and the disintegration of the community.

I won't parrot the whole thing, but he (a young black journalist) gave a list of things the black community can do for itself.

First, was 'pull up your pants'. He explained how it's actually an homage to prison life, when they take away your belt as you enter prison.

Then he added things like, don't glorify the 'n' word. Why be coy; he makes the point that it's being used in the thug and rap culture and is incendiary, not 'desensitizing', as the rap culture claims.

Respect your neighborhood, get and education, were others. Yet, this guy is getting a ton of heat from his 'own' community. In the segment, a white guy is criticizing him for not being sensitive enough to the history of blacks. A Chicago female politician rips him and refuses to admit blacks can help themselves and everyone should look back a hundred years and wallow in it, instead of looking to the here and now and the future.

The guy was forthright and genuine. As he said, these are things his mother taught him when he was nine, and he just wonders why no one is teaching kids - ALL kids, of all races - this stuff anymore.

I know it's been said many, many times before but there truly is no such thing as a routine call. You just never know when you may have a split second to make a deadly force decision.

You might consider the revised headline "Man With Knife Killed by Police" ... as is, it sounds like an officer stabbed a dude to death.

You mean to tell me that she had an order of protection and he STILL tried to kill her?

Well I'll be.

Alderman Meldanado was found Not Guilty in room 408, Judge Gallaghar's room. Judge said the testimony of the two Officers was very credible. And that the Alderman was in a better position to judge if his cutting off of two vehicles in traffic was safe or not.

As you know traffic court judges are a joke.

I heard Greylord judges handed down better/sincere verdicts.

I saw plenty of crap like that. It is that stuff that induced me to not write more than a few movers a year for the last decade or so of my police career. Why should the only people who get stuck with movers be citizens who aren't connected somehow and non-aldermen? Bullshit. I gave them their break on the street and just didn't write them at all. Why make them trek down to traffic court when the politically connected will beat their case every time? I did some equalizing and they got to skip the going to court part.

My own justice. No one complained.

LMAO. I used to be an aggressive traffic enforcer, DUI writer, breath tech and work Roadside/DUI task force. Ironic part is I didn't write DUIs for the O.T. nor did I do the task force for the money either. But after going to court and listening to the dingbat judges and their logic at CCCH, 50 W. Washington and how they dismiss cases and then give you attitude for doing your job I decided I was done two years ago. Ain't written a ticket since and absolutely, positively would not write another traffic ticket unless I was given a direct order by a supervisor.

The CPD can kiss my white ass as I will never write a traffic ticket again.

Signed, 009th district officer currently working beach patrol.

KMA CPD. Two years to go.

Traffic court is a joke. No fines, just Cook County court fees, Xmas season "passes", non suiting most tickets, especially the no drivers license ticket almost everytime. $50 fines for the no insurance ticket when mandatory fines start at $500, My favorite is the official warning by the judge to the violator he or she just dropped all the tickets for........."Don't drive till you get a license. " What a scary threat. A Trafffic court judge just told me not to drive again till I was legal..... HaHaHa!
