Ride to Remember Coverage

  • More than a thousand people participated in a fundraiser for the Chicago Police memorial today, reports WBBM’s Michele Fiore. The engines got rolling at Harrison and Kedzie around 9 a.m. and ended at Gold Star Memorial and Park. [...]

  • In its ninth year, to date, the Ride to Remember has raised $150,000 which helps children whose police officer parent died in the line of duty.

“it’s a small drop in the bucket compared to the ultimate sacrifices of their parents and brothers and sisters pay but it is well worth it,” said Al Wysinger, first deputy superintendent.

Where the Hell does this Stupidintendant get the nerve to not show up at today's Ride to Remember honoring the fallen officers who made the greatest sacrifice any person can make by dying for the citizens of this city. How dare he even continue to b the leader of this department. How can officers just let this b without publicly showing their outrage. I am so embarrassed and pissed I can't even type this. Fuck u McUseless. Fuck u very much.

Stop whining about the Supt. you sound like one of those addicts on Intervention whose life is in ruins because they didn't get enough attention from their daddy. The ride is about the fallen and OUR ability to honor THEM. Get over it already.

Return the Lambert Tree/Carter Harrison Award. Have you no shame?

You and every cop that sees you wear it knows you're a phony clout hack.

I agree, everyone whines about who is running our department, whether it's Cline, Weiss or this guy. Nothing is good enough for these whiners.... Wait till they take away our pensions then you can whine. The day to day crap will happen no matter who is the boss.

SCC, can you also do a post about the 100 Club's Family Appreciation Day/Fundraiser at the Brookfield Zoo. It was the same time as the Ride to Remember.
