Rahm Appoints Police Assailant
We had completely forgotten about this:
- Deb Mell arrested for battery to a PO. Then swept under the rug. Already had it expunged from her record. How nice.
We did a cursory search for the incident and there is one single line in her Wikipedia bio that references the incident (the same amount of coverage to glossing over her connections to the flower pot people), another mention at the DemocraticUnderground site (no link) and nothing else for about 10 pages of inquires.
The story seems to be that she struck a CPD Lieutenant during a protest over the County Clerk's office refusal to issue her a marriage license. At the time, it wasn't within the power of the County Clerk to issue a non-existent document, so instead of working to change the law, she resorted to misbehavior and a criminal act.
We have no idea what happened to the case, the Lieutenant or the arrest record. We imagine Dick Mell did his best to quash it all and expunge the record, bending and contorting the law as he so often has to benefit himself and his family. But we assume it's safe to say the CPD didn't gain a friend in the City Council this week.

The case was tossed out of court by an associate judge. any wonder when the judge addressed Mell as "Deb". Hmmmm. The Lt. was warned not to pursue the case any furthur. My o my..what a surprise in Crook County.

Closely watch her as she takes the oath from TD 9.5 in the council chambers. She is wild-eyed and has mini-quakes in her rather large right-hand. I worked with Moe Howard for many years and he succeeded through hard work and talent. Something Deb Mell wouldn't know about.

a lot of times these cases are a lot less than what the charges would make them seem at first glance. they often go away just because they need to go away. you have to get a jury to convict and a lot of times what actually happened is something no jury will ever convict anyone on.
This armed citizen thinks we all know who and what Deb Mell is. She is made from the same garbage that appointed her to the seat which was previously held by another piece of grabage. She is no leader, has no leadership qualities and I believe her personality is a dysfunctional sort of person. She perpetuates the dysfunction of Chicago government. My favorite was when Mell announced his retirement, Rahm indicated she was not a shoe in, there was a process where he would consider others. Bull shit Rahm, we all know the deal was cut perhaps before the gun toter even announced his retirement, surely before he left the council. You are not fooling anybody. In this state, politicians own the government, not the citizens. And how are we all doin?

So this article says that Deb Mell's or Christy Webber's partner at the time of her arrest was Jennifer Rule. Is Jennifer Rule any relation to Amy Rule (aka Amy Emanuel)? Could that be why Christy Webber has so many city contracts?

I wrote "the late great MOE HOWARD or the THREE STOOGES" and it was only a comparison of haircuts.
Moe Howard was a great comic actor and champion of the rights of performers especially in new entertainment mediums.
Moe Howard was also a mentor in other ways to those of us who grew up in the 50's and 60's. A couple of times in my career I have used his classic bumping their heads together technique on mutual combatants. It really does make that hollow coconut BOONK! sound. I did not know that was a prerequisite for the appointment? What Rahm should have done was appoint someone honest to the city counsel and announce that ht is breaking the iron ceiling and placing an honest person on the city counsel. Now, that would be history !!

The comparison was only about the hairstyles. With her family’s money she could go to the best hair salons in the city but instead she looks like she did it herself with some very dull scissors when she was very drunk.

Trust me just like another poster stated, Dick Mells right hand man in the office is going to run for the daughter's position. I have a frined of mine who considered running and was told they would appreciate it if he didn't. Remember the name Jamie when you see the ballot.

OK, Let's set the record straight, Deb Mell knocked over the LT., when her and her ilk tried to take over the street during the protest. She was charged w/ Misdemeanor Battery. Case was dismissed by a Judge,who by the end of the trial was calling her "Deb". The LT. who was assigned to 001, retired from there and was never promoted to Commander. Her father acted like the POS that he is,while he was in 001, during her processing.
I had to laugh when she introduced her "wife" at the press conference for her anointing to Dick's familial aldermanic seat.
Did they flip a coin to see who'd be the "husband" and who'd be the "wife"? I mean is it just simple mimicry? Whichever is wimpier is the wife? How is that pro-woman?
