"Shoot into the air..."
- Vice President Joe Biden's gun advice is being used as a defense by Jeffery Barton, a 52-year-old Vancouver, Wash., man charged with illegal aiming or discharging a firearm.
Barton was arrested Monday for allegedly shooting a shotgun in the air to chase people he considered potential car thieves off his property.
"I did what Joe Biden told me to do," Barton told KOIN-TV outside court Wednesday, where he pleaded not guilty. "I went outside and fired my shotgun in the air."
On February 19 Biden – then promoting a package of gun control proposals that included a ban on assault-style rifles – said he had advised his wife, "if there's ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here, walk out and put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house."
Of course, this requires a complete misunderstanding of proper gun use and near ignorance of Deadly Force laws, but hey, he's the Vice President, right? And any softball listen to an idiot like Biden, well, you just can't make up that sort of stupidity.

Boy our President and Vice President sure know how to open mouth and insert foot... Heck they are inserting both feet lately!
Hey - I think the guy is right. The VPOTUS told me this is what we Americans should do to protect ourselves.
Why would you convict him? I wouldn't. He gave a great excuse - the Biden defense.
Let him free - it's like traffic court in Cook County. If you tell the judge a pretty good story and makes him laugh, you might get off.
Next case.
Biden is a dunce. They shouldn't let him speak publicly, alone.
LOL
McCarthy bemoans the fact that 16 hours isn't enough training for CCW
I bet anyone who undergoes 16 hours would have more sense about the use of firearms than Joe Biden
This is what happens when you take Dummycrats seriously; you go to jail and they take away your gun! Also, as I recall Uncle Joe also suggested shooting through the door, too bad for whomever is on the other side. They should have Biden brought in to testify.
Joe biden is me thirty years from now !
huh?
We are taught to obey our government and its leaders. When the #2 man in the nation tells you to do something, it must be OK.
16 hours is not long enough to teach good character.

Not in my court key, 6th district. In the last year or so I remember MAYBE two not guilty findings.
They need to call Biden to the stand. He wont come. Drop the case.
Biden, being one heartbeat away from the being POTUS, is Obama's life insurance policy.
Why do you think he picked Biden instead of Hillary???

For some people, neither is 16 years.
