Another Child Shot
Was it three or four years ago that everyone was up in arms that so many school age children ended up getting shot? Something like 170 or so kids got shot - and that's using a very generous description of the word "kids" as some of the CPS scholars who caught rounds were well over the age of 18, but repeating grades.

- A 7-year-old boy was seriously injured in a shooting Sunday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 9 p.m. in the 4200 block of West Fifth Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs.
We'll bet the marches held for these primary aged children will be about as numerous as raindrops are in July in Death Valley.

Ahhh the city leaders only cared about "the children" until they got the clouted camera outfit's school zone speed trap camera's approved.
Now it's YOYO = you're on your own kids.
That's what you call using a crisis and not letting it go to waste.
See, a crisis when it's large enough will generate fear into the hearts and minds of the public. Once that's done you can get the people to agree to things that they normally wouldn't AND in the process you can also play the hero if you're politically connected.
Watch how it plays out with retirees health care benefits and pensions.
You're gonna be sold that the pension changes will only effect the new guys. After all you earned it right?
However once the pension reform is passed the new hire block will be taken down and once enough new hires are on the job then operation divide and concur will be declared a success!
Yeah, you thought that your retirement was safe? Hahaha. Once a two tier retirement system is in place good luck to you making it to your planned retirement age without being forced out.

Similar to the Stockholm syndrome. When the pension cuts come down, just watch how many of your co-workers protect the people robbing your future with claims about them being the hero's because they are saving something instead of getting nothing.
Oh yeah, and "the children" ..yeah the leaders actions say eff the children. Instead of crossing one, two, three streets safely now they have to cross double that WITH NO SCHOOL ZONE SPEED TRAP CAMERAS at them.
Take that 'we are concerned about your safety" and "crime is down crap" and do you know what. It's about the money. It's always been about the money. It continues to be about the money. The children are tools in these politicians eyes. Look at their actions not their words.
There's no race baiting value in pointing out that blacks are killing black kids. Therefor, no marches or shows of outrage.
Weekend night over summer break or not, normal people (if the term applies at FILTH Avenue & Kildare) do not have 7 year olds out at 9pm. Especially in what they know is the equivalent of a war zone.
Everyone and their fucking mother knows what's going on in the 'hood. It's a phenomenon acquired and honed when you have no job or responsibilities and do nothing but keep your lazy ass parked on the porch all day.
You hear and see things and get a good feel for what's going on. You see who's slinging dope. You hear Shaniqua talking about getting her hair and nails "did". And you see and hear the gangbangers openly discuss gunplay as a means to solve problems that normal people don't have to ever worry about.
The blame - AGAIN - lies soley at the feet of the parent. Yes, I meant "parent" in the singular sense as we all know what Baby Daddy be doing when this type of shit happens.
On the "glass is half full"' side of the eqution, no 7 year olds catching bullets in my neck of the woods.
If a black child is shot by a black adult the reverunds dont say a word. If a white person is involved oh man they break out the protests and marching.

The general public is so tired from working jobs that don't pay what they used to or offer benefits. Plus, people are back to having kids and that takes more time. Not to mention the amount of time spent texting.
It all equals=no time to care about little kids getting shot.
My first question is why is a 7yr old out at 9:00pm? It doesn't matter if it's summer, my sons were in,had baths and in bed at that time. There wasn't any lip about it either. ( no I didn't beat the crap out of them, they just learned at an early age)

It seems like there is more of a stink raised for Travon then there is for a child being shot. Don't these people care about their kids? Good God, I always knew where my kids were, and when they were small, my eyes never left them. I just don't understand it.

Best thing the Rahmster could do for Chicago is to pay for training for the gangsters. Send them to 16...hell, 40 hours of target training so they could actually wipe each other's sorry asses out and quit missing their damned target! He touted Maggie Daley's after school matters mentality by spending millions of dollars to create a glorious downtown monument in her honor.
But the actions speak louder then the speeches or the words.
Rahm tore down a neighborhood community center that was actually providing after school activities to the community under the guise of "we are concerned for your safety" bullshit.
But okay, lets assume the building was unsafe. Rahm couldn't spend a few thousand dollars to correct any deficiencies? Oh nope! Don't touch the Maggie Daley park money. That money is different and not fungible with other taxes. We needed this downtown fake status symbol of greatness and power that should be worshiped and prayed to instead.
Rahm closes 50 schools for 'the children" puts up school zone speed traps because he is "concerned for the children's safety for crossing the streets"
Then Rahm make "the children" have to cross even more streets (and gang boundaries), streets without school zone speed trap camera's when he closes the 50 public schools making "the children" that he cares so much about walk outside of their local neighborhood to attend school
You think he cares about "the children" Perhaps the children are just tools in his book to win the hearts and minds of the taxpayers to support clouted appointments and projects eh?

Trying to blame the seven year old or bad parenting for a kid being out at certain hour thereby deserving to he shot is a failed distraction strategy.
The shootings are happening every hour of the day. Some of them are kids in cars, backyards or even their own homes and yes some of them are on the streets too with parents that are not so bright.
But stop trying to cover for the political failures that have created this environment that we now live in.
The cops on the beat might care and try as they might can't be everywhere at once we get that. But it's the leaders that help create this environment.
They've failed society but they are creating windfall riches for their corporate campaign donators that they serve in the process.
How's those corporate tax breaks that are suppose to be creating the much needed jobs and economic growth going for you friends and family outside of law enforcement? Ya feeling that trickle down economics yet? HA!

With great fanfare we read about some thug being caught and we assume that they will be brought to justice. However after the arrest the average person has no clue of what happens next -- with cases thrown out of court or home monitoring awarded because the jails are full and the taxpayers are busted out.

What on earth could possibly make a 13 year old white kid do such a thing? We must get him and his parents into counseling immediately. He has everything. He lives in Wisconsin,the schools are great;clean air,clean water,what could possibly be missing? Maybe he's just a little jagoff like his family.
