Officer bitten by a dog (4-legged) during the incident - and during the incident, another dog (2-legged) was shot:
- A Chicago police officer was injured this morning after she was bitten by a dog during an armed robbery investigation that nabbed several people in the North Park neighborhood, officials said.
The female officer was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs....
The officer was one of several canine unit officers who responded. She was bitten by one of the unit's dogs...
Whoops - muzzle discipline damnit! (muzzle...dog...get it?)
- A canine officer found the person hiding on the 5400 block of North Spaulding Avenue. The offender, who was armed, brandished a handgun at police, [...]. The officers, in fear for their safety, fired at the offender striking him in the arm.....

Wait a Minute, We're not supposed to eat our own! Seriously, glad she's ok, unfortunate the offender didn't go to the Morgue.

It was a great job by all policemen involved. And we got the offender too.

Pretty sure the dog SCC was referring to has no more than two legs and probably a social security number...and is a person...just maybe
The dog went bonkers and bit her when a canine officer let go a round.
Glad the officer wasn't seriously injured. But she shouldn't have tried to muscle in on the other cop's job. He had things well in paw and didn't want her poaching his pinch! She better come across with a chew toy, lest she become one herself!

Good job by all. Canine units refused to stop searching. Found him 2 hours in.

Pretty sure you're WRONG.
When the post first went up, it said 'two legged dog'. SCC has now changed it.
