Whoops - Delayed Killing

  • A man who was wounded in a shooting in August in the Austin neighborhood has died, officials said.

Lamarius Tatum, 23, of the 900 block of North Laramie Avenue was pronounced dead at 6:23 a.m. today at Loyola University Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Tatum was was shot at about 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 8, on the 1100 block of North Waller Avenue, according to police. He sustained wounds to his chest and back and was taken to Loyola medical center in critical condition where he later died.
So even if everything possible was done to combat the conditions that led to the eventual homicide, even if a shooter is in custody, the "commander" has to answer for something that went down 6 weeks ago and has no influence over, seeing as how the deceased was under a doctor's care for the intervening time.

six weeks eh?

well the big pharma's, nurses, docs, and even comm ed powering all the life support mechanisms made out like a bandit then on this one.

don't worry. that money will not go to waste. that money enables the political campaign contributions of the wealthy to ensure that things stay status quo.

how much do you think that helped chicago's gdp numbers grow by?

the velocity of money changing hands has slow a bit tho it seems. but as the economy deteriorates further, with 20,000 to 30,000 people leaving the workforce per month in Illinois, with food stamps growing at a 14.7% clip year over year in Illinois and washington threatening to cut those food stamps so that the political apparatus can keep the corporate handouts/bailouts going it feels like things will only get worse for the holidays...and that's a good thing. if you got clout or are in a six-figure income bracket i guess.

it's every man for himself kids

It says he died at Loyola. Isn't that Maywood? Maybe we can charge it to them.

This cost US tax payers at least a million to keep this m**t alive. If it were not for modern medicine there would be 2000 murders already in the city.

Maybe the state should fund a "GSW" hospital near 26 & California. Staff it like a nursing home. Let the zombies roam the halls all night.

Maybe Rahm could spend a boat load of money on a time machine and the police can go back in time and prevent all of the bad things that happen to people that live a high risk lifestyle.

The important fact is that he is not merely dead, but really most sincerely dead.

No New Indictments in Koschman Case, Special Prosecutor Says

162-page report following investigation into 2004 death of David Koschman to remain under seal pending trial of Richard Vanecko

"...No additional indictments have been sought because the applicable statute of limitations bars any prosecutions under state law for the Chicago Police Department and Cook County state’s attorney’s office actions taken in 2004," Webb wrote in a court filing. "... and there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt any state criminal law violations as to actions taken by CPD personnel in 2011."

This is just a CLOUT coverup to the max. All the PO's involved will be taken care of and have nothing to worry about.

I guess there is a statute of limitations on official misconduct.
