Another Dirty Sergeant

And another opening for someone off the list:
  • A dirty Chicago cop who swelled his city paycheck by shaking down drug dealers was slammed for his “unconscionable” behavior Wednesday by a federal judge who sentenced him to 22 months in prison.

Former Sgt. Ronald Watts, 50, taught young people growing up in poverty in the Ida B. Wells housing projects “not to respect anything” when he demanded protection money from criminals, U.S. Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman said.

Dressing down the former Army soldier and 20-year police veteran, an angry Coleman said she believed he’d been guilty of far more widespread corruption than the single count of stealing government funds he plead guilty to in July.
Good riddance.

Brick him behind a wall and forget about him.

Motherfuckers are so almighty convinced they can redefine the meaning of the word "slick."

Fuel for the anti-Police fire raging in Chicago...

Lick hitters, slicksters, hustlers, playahs, thirsty m/fers and flat out thieves and con men.

They usually hide behind the regular guys trying to work this job for 20+ years so they can survive and escape from it and this forsaken by GOD city in one piece with their dignity and honor intact.

Yes, Shannon, you are right. The city can't afford it.

Good luck Ronnie, "Woo Woo" Watts. Remember when your ass dumped me off the tact team because I pimped you out on your bullshit while being my SGT? Well payback is a bitch. Fuck you Ron and guess what Ron? I still got a job, a pension (so I hope) and no felony convictions and a successful side business going where I know make more money (combined) than Wysinger (and I don't have to kiss Rham's ass either). Yeah Ron if you read this you know just who wrote this. I will think about you in December when I am on the beach in Costa Rica. Even though I quit drinking I might make an exception and have a Pina Colada pool side.

Take care and tell Muhammad I said hello.

You wonder why many citizens dislike us and have no respect for us? One reason is because of cops like him, Finnigan, etc. A bit off topic, but did anyone see the video of the incident that occurred in the Skokie P.D. lock up in March? Skokie might as well open up the checkbook now, and the Skokie copper better hope the U.S. Attorney's office doesn't get involved. Remember there are cameras everywhere.

In an article in today's Tribune (10 Oct 2013) they state that two coppers have filed a whistleblower law suit regarding this case. The article relates that these two coppers told certain bosses that Watts and his crew were stealing for years, and the bosses did nothing except call them "rats" when they finally went to the FBI and then dumped them. Don't know how much faith I put in the Tribune, but if this is true it could be very interesting. SCC, this could be something that you might want to watch.

You have no idea what you are talking about, by your comment you are either part of the corruption, or part of the cover up. These officers did what no one else was able to do, they came foward and ultimately were able to rid the department of two of the most corrupt officers CPD has known. The officers should be thanked. As an officer that does my job with pride I do not want these criminals to be allowed to pretend to be officers and continue to tarnish the badge I wear with pride everyday. You should thank these officers rather than try to turn a negative view on them. These two officers are partners and are not romantically involved, but even if they were what the hell does that have to do with anything. These officers went to the FBI years ago and had no way of knowing what the outcome of this investigation would be, so to state they had a devious retirment plan show just how little you actually know about the investigation. Besides BOTH targets Moe and Watts plead guilty right? So these officers weren't wrong. I for one am grateful to these officers for doing the right thing. The department doesn't need officers like you that look the other way and then condemn the officers that do the right thing.

Judging from your comment your obviously the idiot. I guess your too stupid to read that Watts plead guilty verifying what these 2officers said years ago. We dont need idiots like you who condem officers who stand up for whats right. These 2 officers who reported this corruption a long time ago should be promoted. This Dept needs more bosses who stand up for whats right and get rid of the bosses that sit down when thr told to.

10/15/2013 06:00:00 AM

On the radar at least a decade, CPD had an investigation into these two gangsters and the rest of the team when the currnet IAD Chief was a Sgt. in IAD! What took the dept so long is that the corrupton goes too high up the ladder, so look the other way. Then after over a decade goes by these thugs are still out there, criminals with badges and now the dept can't take action because how can you justify having knowledge of these officers being so corrupt yet leaving them out there on the job to victimize the citizens of Chicago for over 10 YEARS!!! So now the dept has to cover it up and minimize who knew what and how much for how long, damage control. Can you imagine the financial damages this would mean for the city? Exempts having this knowledge and covering it up for over a decade, everyone these thugs ever arrested would sue and win! That's a 100 million reasons if not more to make all of this disappear. Not to mention all the exempts and clout heavy bosses that would go down with Watts and Moe.

I don't think this investigation with Watts and Moe is over. The Feds hauled in all of the officers on Watt's team 2 seperate times over the past few months, the dept can't buy everyone's silence. And some of these officers are just as guilty as Watts and Moe, these officers know what they did, and if they think everyone will keep to the same bullshit cover up story they are idiots, some are already talking, and Watts didn't get 22 months for a decade long crime spree for nothing. Read the Feds complaints filed against Watts, in black and white it lists extortion, was Watts charged with extortion no he was not... if I were on Watts team I would be very nervous right about now, remember boys and girls lying to the Feds is an automatic 5 years in Federal prison.
