Court Appearances

Could use some friendly faces at a couple places:
  • It would be a great show of solidarity for any off-duty officers and/or detention aides to come to the Dirksen Building, room 2201, Monday the 28th and/or Tuesday 29th.

In 2004, May Molina, a female arrested for PCS with intent to deliver, died in the 19th District lockup. The family is now suing seven members of the CPD (there were eight, but one died) - one retired Captain, one detention aide, and five sworn officers - and the City. Initially there were more than twenty Department members named as defendants. The trial is going into its fourth week.

The coroner was barred from testifying... Mystifying.
So how do they have anyone testify as to cause of death? Seems like grounds for an appeal almost immediately.

And the Francis trial continues Monday:
  • Trial for Officer Rick Francis

[...] His trial began last Monday and the turn out for the offender has been very good. The turn out for Rick has been minimum at best- there have been an average of 5-7 officers in attendance- majority who are coming off their midnight shift and staying in court all day- The family and P.O's from 019 appreciate all who have stopped in but this woman who took one of our own (with his own gun) should not have more support than Rick's family. They are not going with an insanity defense because she knew very well what she was doing-

Please try and come to court this week- The Defense will begin their arguments Monday
    Monday- October 28, 2013
    Time- 11:00 am
    Room -302
    26th/California
Swing by. Leave your number with someone upstairs and swing by for 15 or 30 minutes on break from your courtroom.

In my district, if a prisoner needs to go to a hospital then the dss will deny it. Now as a p.o. what do you do? You are fucked either way. If dude dies, then surely the dss won't say "that was my decision to deny him medical care, I take full responsibility". That is why I welcome cameras and recording devices throughout the police station.

OT: The hearing for Mike Shields is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 5:00pm at FOP. Rumor has it Mike is going to try to keep the details from the membership by closing the meeting and excluding everyone from witnessing it.

He already picked his friends to judge his guilt or innocence. Now this bullshit? Everyone should at least make an appearance. It will be interesting to see how he handles it. He has got to be stopped and put in his place.

Not so mystifying if he/she had no first hand information to present, and they rarely, if ever do.

It would be analogous to asking a judge or a clerk of the court to testify about a court proceeding.

First off I'm from 019 midnights and I've been there, I agree 019 midnights should have a better turn out. On the other hand you too are an officer, you mean to tell me solidarity only runs as deep as the area of the city you patrol? No excuses, just as pathetic.

I did a search on molina vs city of chicago and came up with what seems to be the federal complaint. No mention of DD in there. It does mention that some defendants were dropped from the original complaint.

What a country, you get to deal heroin, get arrested, eat many bags of heroin, die of overdose and your shitbag family hits the shithead lottery.

They had a march on 019 after she died, led by another jailbird shithead, Aaron Patterson. A 10-1 was called at the station, almost Broken Arrow.

Aaron Patterson is now doing 30 years in a federal joint. This after he turned down a $4 million settlement for past bullshit. Oh, Aaron Patterson got sentenced to 30 years after George Ryan (no relation to MR) gave him a pardon. Way to go George!

O.T. Part 1 Test Results

A lot of people are wondering when will we get the results of the CPD Sergeant's test part 1? I emailed the company and they told me to email the city of Chicago. They provide me with their email address. I think it was police-applications@cityofchicago.org I am not too sure. But here is what they said; the test results for part one of the sergeant's test will be out in mid December. Hang tight guys and gals, most of you probably passed.

People who go through trauma and high-emotion stuff together bond more closely. I've worked south, then north, and the north side isn't as close as south. Northside-mids, yeah, more stress and drama, but other than that, no.

That's what watch parties were for, and no matter what you say about straight shifts being healthier for us, shift rotation fostered more camaraderie, too.

Thats an easy one. When the dss denies you taking the prisoner to the hospital, you document it on the arrest report and who denied it. The arrest report has to be approved and put in the system. That isnt really a hard one

Dont they have a website maintained by Mr. Honest Rich Augular. Probably could put all that info on the site or email it to the members if they didn't want people to see what really goes on there. I am studying my ass off for the sergeant's test. Sometimes I feel like I am wasting my time. Because 30% of the spots to merit candidates. Then God only knows how many people are in the secret study groups where answers are handed to them. But I will give this a chance. I've always been a good student and book smart. I would rather give it a good chance and aim higher. Rather than constantly complain and not work hard for it to only later regret it. At times though it is disheartening. I wish the whole process was on the up and up.

First off - Kathy Moore was most definitely the Police and ended up getting railroaded off the job thanks to a couple of scumbags who wouldn't stand up and take their medicine. Instead they let Kathy and Jimmy take the rap for them.

Secondly, most of the time the FOP doesn't find out about a retired member passing until after the services. My advice is that YOU ought to stay in touch with YOUR friends ... maybe then you'd be in the loop when they pass.

Only in this backwards country can you be a criminal and still profit from our court system. Any other country and you would be left to rot in a hole somewhere and no one would care if you had chest pains or stomach ache. The lawyers and politicians have built a system where internet access, premium medical care, and cable tv have become a god given right to these prisoners. Meanwhile, officers are subjected to fighting and handling these bottom feeders with little to no reprucussions to the offenders for their behavior. The criminal of the new millennium has more rights and protection than the taxpayer and law enforcement. There was a time when those in prison were expected to work while serving time and be productive, until a lawyer argued it was violating their "rights". Now, we live in a society that forces senior citizens to work until they drop because they cannot afford to retire, while healthy young men smoke dope, watch tv, and run phone scams from prison all on the tax payer dime. Unreal.

I have worked in units in all parts of the city for the past 28 years. The one constant is that when push comes to shove--everybody (with the exception of the rare asshole) comes together.

You have workers in every district and dogs in every district, good bosses in every district and total bastards in every district.

Nobody has a corner on being "the real police" We all are in the same boat, just some are aft, some astern, some amidships.

The retired captain is NOT dd, I wouldn't support her either.

Some 19th District officers would gladly be at that bitch's trial at 26/Cal if they weren't stuck in the Dirksen Building being defendants in the so-called "community activist's" case. Don't blame those what had nothing to do with the court scheduling.

Turns out every PO should all be glad the coroner wasn't called to testify, because if the CPD/defense attorney was rumored to have killed the dope dealer, who swallowed six foil packets of heroin and was asked by several officers if she was OK, if she wanted to go to the hospital, the coroner would say the attorney did it! With "help" like that, who needs enemies?!

All the dealer's supposed supporters neglected to tell anyone for more than 24 hours that crucial information either. She killed herself!

Closing arguments were today, the room packed with people, many of whom are reportedly from the Loevy & Loevy law firm - isn't that special? No court tomorrow, back in the Dirksen building probably Thursday.

I was there for the 10-1and I remember shithead aaron patterson, now doing 30 years, leading the "march." Best move he ever made was turning down the $4 million settlement offered to him.

We had cars there from 019, 018, 020, 023, 014, 017, A3, A5 and perhaps others. That was good to see police form a human ring around the station and cover every entrance by foot and car.

The woman never said she swallowed a bag of dope, had she said those magic words she would have gone to the hospital lights and siren. She didn't want to lose her dope. Not until the bag of dope popped inside her and she keeled over was there any indication anything was wrong.

I love how these dope dealers and gun runners and multiple felons like aaron patterson and this bitch sudden'y become raise to the level of "community activists."

And "community activist" aaron patterson has a projected release date from Federal Custody of 12-26-2030. Bet some of the starch will be gone from his sails by then.

How about: "A sick individual became a junkie by their own hand and ingested a huge amount of narcotics rather than have the police inventory it. That huge amount killed said individual while they were in police custody. There was no way for the police to know about how much narcotics the individual ingested voluntarily and that individual died as a result of their own actions. Attorneys for the family of the dead individual are now trying to fleece the taxpayers of a large amount of cash for the sick individuals own asinine actions."

Isn't that MORE correct Mr. Attorney?
