Whoops - Wrong Car Dude

We always figured it was easier robbing strangers - not these brain surgeons though:
  • Four men were arrested overnight Sunday after they tried to hijack a car belonging to an off-duty police officer, county prosecutors said.

[...] The off-duty officer told the officers who arrested the men that he was driving in the alley on Yates Boulevard when they surrounded his car and Herron pulled out an object that appeared to be a firearm.

"Get up out of this [bleep], this ain't no joke," Herron allegedly said to the driver. The driver replied that he was a police officer, and showed his assailants his own firearm.

One of the alleged offenders, apparently recognizing the man, said, "Oh [bleep], he is the police, he stays right up the street," according to the police report. The four men fled down the alley while the off-duty officer called 911. They were arrested just after midnight Monday morning.
Amazingly, each one of the four was just about to turn his life around...after this last car jacking.

Hang your old blanket over the back of your seat...

Be comfy with the possibility of using your personal vehicle as a weapon.

Be comfy with the possibility of turning your personal vehicle into a convertible.

An extra magazine of +p/+p+ ball ammo for vehicle borne goblins...

Boo!

Actually SCC, they were...*Honest*. They just wanted to 'borrow' the car, they 'needed it' so they could all get to the job interviews they had lined up Monday morning. Well, except for Michael Jackson, 20 that is.

Michael needed to 'borrow' the car so he could go on an Archaeological field trip Monday to Dixon Mounds that the Paleontology class he's taking at the Univ of Chicago had planned. He's a doctoral candidate who graduated HS at 13 and has an IQ of 168, ya know.

How come they get by with pointing a gun at an officer and threatening him? The officer has his own pointed gun and he doesn't blow them away? Is this good form?

This was not a carjacking. This was a trial of Obamashare. Take what you don't have from those who do. Soon you will pay a fine for preventing someone from trying to improve their life by taking your stuff.

Off topic:

Skokie cop, veteran of 19yrs, charged with battery and official misconduct in pushing a female offender into a cell after she was not cooperating with the simple task of looking into a camera for a mug shot. The cop takes her back to her cell as a refusal and she clearly in the video puts her hands out to stop him from placing her in the cell, much like a child would who doesn't want to be sent to her room. He appears to have used the amount of force necessary to push a resistor into the cell at which point she lets go of the wall and unfortunately hits the concrete bench and does get hurt. The cop immediately renders aid, actually putting on gloves and giving first aid not just calling an ambulance. Where is the misconduct? I think the battery is bullshit too but seriously it was just a freak accident and Anita Alvarez is going to take the drunk, non-compliant child like arrestee's side. This could happen to anybody. Also watch the video, sometimes the sound is there, like when the officer scolds the offender but not present in the cell where my guess is the offender is not being particularly polite or cooperative and also you can't hear the officer when he is rendering aid. Un-fucking-believable. This is at most a three day suspension for causing the department a headache. I hope you win at trial and sue Alvarez. Oh, sorry, you can't she's immune from prosecution. 19 years on. Take your pension when you can and get the hell out of this socialist liberal state.

Everyone on SCC are bad asses, chuck Norris wanna-be's. Obviously the cop felt he didn't need to shoot. The wanna be jackers had enough "respect"-- if you want to call it that, not to do something dumb when they found out it was a cop, and no one on either side took life. End of story. This is a win.

Are you a hypocrite, dog ass or a punching bag?

How would you have handled it, tickled her until she let go of the wall? Asked her pretty please with sugar on top? Just stood there with your hands in your pockets looking for someone else to put hands on her? Because she is non-compliant and physically weaker than the officer she is not a threat? Didn't a non-compliant physically weaker woman just get convicted today of murdering Richard Francis today?

19yrs a policeman, undoubtedly most of it on camera being from the suburbs, without an excessive force beef. That doesn't mean anything to you because apparently you are perfect.

He knew he was on video, do you really think he was going to push her harder then he needed to? Without that concrete bench there this would have been two sore knees and two sore palms at most. This is an unfortunate accident, he didn't intend to hurt her and he didn't cover it up, he just wanted to get her in the cell, close the door and let her sleep it off. Somehow in Anita Alvarez and your world this equates to aggravated battery and official misconduct, like somehow this is the same as the Abbatte case.

Hope you work 10-99

He does stand a chance of winning if he gets the right judge and jury. I'm glad you are able to convict based on the biased coverage and editing of the mainstream media.

I'm the officer they tried to car jack and its not always as simple as people think once you enter the situation of life or death. I did what I did to survive the incident. Think about it people they didn't get my gun,my star, my vest,my car nor my life and all were arrested in less than two mins of the start of the situation dam it that's good. Ask me what I did if you know me you know what I did and if I had to kill someone to survive I have no problem doing that! I'm a war time vet and have more kills then I care to remember, I do and did what was necessary. POINT 1: If you read the news feed the weapon was in his pants not pointed at me. POINT 2: the area is surround by muti-unit building where a large group of children live and their given bedrooms are housed in that area; lets think if everyone is shooting how many children could have been injured or killed, I think before I act and the outcome was positive all around... that is all.

Nope. It would be tasteless for me to come on here and sarcastically bring up a cops death as the butt of one of my jokes, so theirs no excuse for this.

10/31/2013 10:18:00 AM
If you care to know, I wasn't. Doesn't mean I wouldn't have still wrote what I did weather Zimmerman was convicted or not. It was tasteless and inappropriate to the situation, nor did any of the two have anything in common. Like I said, let's see how quick people catch the sarcasm if dead cops began to be the butt of jokes on here.
