92 % tied with future merits that score high 40's
politicians again Grandstanding about Gun Control for law abiding citizens . Black politicians in Chitcawgo , crook county vote down Mandatory sentencing for convicted felons , drug dealers and known gang bangers . Why you may ask because it will hurt the democrat voting block the machine has . Again it's the Honest hard working citizens of all races that suffer because of the sell outs .

My mailcarrier is the worst. Delivers mail at 6 pm if she decides to come that day.
Someone on Facebook posted that he passed part one of the exam. I didn't get my test results though. I am waiting anxiously. But in the meantime I am studying my butt off.

Monday, honest this time.
didnt study a second, didnt buy an expensive study class didnt do anything and I got a 49... guess what, IM ELIGIBLE FOR PART TWO!!!! ahhhh, i love this city when it actually works for you. all the morons who signed up for a class and got high scores are in the same exact boat as me. Now studying for the real part to get me promoted. ahahahahahahahah, suckers!!

The IG is already checking out the New Comptroller and calling in all Street Ops staff for interviews about the prior Comptroller and former Dep Director of Street Ops.

Sergeants were suppose to be made Friday. Friend at Academy told me they had the room reserved, the outside people from personnel and outside instructors were scheduled, everything was ready to go, than nothing. Smells like someone didn't make the list that some politician wanted on the list. Oh, never mind, the superintendent says he does not play politics.

I mean, there's gotta be a shit ton of dopes that barely made it to part two, so at the end of the day it's not like they'll really be much competition. The promotions are being held to Jan. there were to many people with a 13b and the city would have to pay out up to 5 days for about 23 new sgts and 6 new lt's. It was easier to just wait till the 1st period.
Who ever tells you they passed with a score lower then 53 is full of s@#t!! I failed and I'm fine with it. Grow up!

A lot of them are using their 'must use' time this week. Mine is picking up double shifts to cover others who are off.

Yeah, and now you're playing catch-up, so you can score well on part two. The people who've been studying all along are way ahead of you. They weren't just studying for part one; they were studying for the REST of the test.

Sheeeit, I passed the damn test and I am retired! That's how hard that test was. Just wait for the next round. That guy who wants to be addressed as seargant will be singing a different tune.

By the way how many promotional exams have you been promoted off of? I have taken two, and been promoted off of my test score twice.
I scored 47%! I didn't even take the test! I'm not even going to show up for part 2.

They have the option to sell up to 5 days, look at your contract sir or mam.

We usually get our mail 5-6 pm also, but all year round. And not always all the mail, and like you said, if she decides to come. I live North, maybe we have the same mail carrier!
I feel bad for my buddy going to Woods part 2 class. He has no chance, but doesn't even no it. Pathetic, a binder prepared by an officer that's incomplete and available for free to download
Good God! Looks like nothing ever changes. Back in the late 60's when I came on you had to see the people who ran the civil service commission or people who knew them to pay your bribe to get promoted or a good assignment. Then along came quotas for promotion and the "temporary sergeants" ( all clout) and then came the "race norming" and secret study groups and people getting advanced copies of the tests and then came the "merit promotions" and now I read more of the same. When Daley made the merit promotions, people actually came back from leaves of absence to make rank, yes, that is right, leaves of absence that had run for years and then get promoted on merit and then made captain or commander. Nothing ever changes. I am very glad I am not retired ( although getting old and missing my old co-workers). I clearly recall the stress and aggravation of going through the promotion process, if you call it that. Good luck to all of you.
