The Paradox

Once again, the most observant readers:
  • The FBI says "You cant arrest your way out of the crime problem" and McCarty says "We need tougher guns laws to lock up the bad guys." Our leaders don't have a clue on how to fight crime.
We'll drink to that.

Smoke and mirrors.
It's all bullshit and it doesn't take much to confuse the average voter.
I think there is a formula or algorithm that political advisors study and use to hypnotize people with positive sounding lies.
They want to believe the happy talk anyway.

BTW, anyone hear that author Brad Thor is escaping Chicago? He is relocating himself and family to Tennessee. He gave as a reason Chicago's high crime rate and high taxes. Surely that is not the real reason. Besides Tn. is redneck country compared to Cook. Co. Why leave here to go to redneck land?

And the almighty Harry Reid also said: " We can't have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it." with regard to the BLM and the Bundy Ranch ordeal.

What a paradox that is eh?

The DOJ just walked away from the drug cartel gun running.

The investment bankers by the dozens have walked away from their frauds.

I mean the lists go on and on.

But we should all focus on the Broken Windows at the street level while the people on the 5th floor and above in the penthouses get away with murder so to speak

We can't have Americans violate the law and walk away. What about illegal immigrants? That's okay, just pull out the old breaking up the family script and hand them an Illinois drivers license.

The congressmen and local politicians can break the right to bear arms law, the freedom of speech and right to assemble laws and walk away.

When they change the meaning of the words in the constitution to take away our pension benefits they will just walk away and everyone effected is expected to feel as though they won something because of the scraps left behind,

Who's Harry Reid kidding?

That is the "Paradox" !! They "think" they are brilliant but are actually full of BS!!

In my 35 year LE career in the burbs I've been lucky enough to move up the ranks to WC, I'm smart enough to realize that I am no longer the police, I just watch the police work.... And most importantly I LOOK OUT FOR them!

Yes, and we are rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, and figures lie and liars figure, and it's all smoke and mirrors, and 92.78% of police don't vote, and it's all Bush/Obama/Carter's fault. But please, contribute another cliché.

I think McCarthy is like Sampson. Only with Garry, all his strength is in his facial hair - shave that ugly mustache and he will be completely impotent.

What makes anyone think the desire is to fight crime?

Government needs crime. Without crime people might figure out they don't need government and then where would they be?

Crime allows government to grow in power and size. More arrests means more money for the prison industrial complex.

When there isn't enough crime government makes more laws to create new crimes.

The 'leaders' don't want to fight crime at all. They want to control it just enough so it looks like they are doings something while their power and budgets grow.

Hey asshats we have the toughest guns laws on record we just don't administer the sentencing for them. It's always minimum sentence the statute allows or a fraction of it. The Alex Valadez charge is a minimum 3 years for a gang member gun crime.

Yes we do need stronger gang related gun laws and in the mean time start building a very large, zero gang tolerance federal prison on the out skirts of Cook county and make any gang related fire arm offence a federal offence. Federal Mandatory 5 years. Our major city's police department's are no match to what sort of urban take over that is coming our way. Be it caused by black,Hispanic or white animals. This ghetto thug out of control life style in the major city's is just starting to bloom.
