Silly Job, But Still Part of the Job

Would you answer the door?
  • SCC,

Your not gonna believe this but SWAT has been handed lists of Persons of Interest on the west and south side and we have been ordered to knock on the gang bangers door and basically tell him that we are concerned for his well being. I won't do it. It's a violation of the poor gang banger 's civil rights. All of SWAT has been told to patrol the ghetto. I wonder if the terrorists are going attack Englewood.
Is this an efficient use of manpower? No, not really. It doesn't pay to have SWAT personnel and their equipment doing "house checks" on gang bangers just to show we care. That's more of a job for exempts, like Barb West, to do.

However, SWAT is an arm of the police department. If McCarthy and his pack of trained monkeys decide that this is what SWAT will do, then SWAT will do it, period. We've seen SWAT on Safe Passage routes and we've heard they're under orders to generate some kinds of numbers for whatever reason. It is what it is, no one got drafted for SWAT. There's always a beat car to push if it's that hard to follow orders.

I feel sorry for the Squat Teams, but welcome to the life of Special Unit personnel. We in OCD are doing the same shit. They want contact cards and ANOV tickets. We've been told secretely to not make arrests, if we can help it. Because the legit citizens don't want their children locked up, they don't want an armed invasion in their neighborhoods, Memorial Weekend, the ministers don't want what happened last year with all the shootings, but they also don't want us to lock them savages up either, we'll be bumping into each other that weekend, on our days off at time and a half. Listen to the names their giving these details.

US Govt Admits Using Fake Vaccination Programs To Gather Intelligence; Swears It Won't Do It Again

T"he CIA organised a fake vaccination programme in the town where it believed Osama bin Laden was hiding in an elaborate attempt to obtain DNA from the fugitive al-Qaida leader’s family, a Guardian investigation has found"

- - - -

"So thanks to the CIA’s idiocy, the entire world will now never trust any vaccine program that has any connections to the USA. There has already been an armed backlash against American immunization programs where 56 people have died. Furthermore, there has been a resurgence of polio in Pakistan. Of the 77 cases of polio documented worldwide so far in 2014, 79% have been in Pakistan."

"While this is horrible in its own right, there is a much bigger story here. The fact that the United States holds no claim to any sort of moral high ground whatsoever. Rather, due to the many factors that I have outlined on this site over and over, the U.S. is now seen, internally by its citizenry, as well as externally, as a thieving, corrupt, nuclear armed Banana Republic ruled by a cadre of childlike oligarch puppet figureheads concerned only with how much they can steal before society collapses. This has been proven and reinforced over and over again by stories such as this one, as well as the recent revelation of: Conspiracy Fact – How the U.S. Government Covertly Invented a “Cuban Twitter” to Create Revolution"

Ha these seat guys spend most if their time in the gym at H-sq then they do working. They play with their big army toys and hang around the garage at H-sq waiting for calls that rarely happen. They spend most of their time trying to justify their existence so I think they should do some work and pitch in. They should be on call and rotating from their assigned districts. Much like a saturation team. The same should be true for most of those guys and gals working in vice, forfeiture, housing, narcotics, gangs, the list goes I and on. Mc Carthy needs to get his head of of his ass and start really examining and scrutinizing the UCOs working out if that building. Also need to conduct am overtime and timekeeping audit of all units in OCD. Always best to make sure everyone is one the same page when it comes to punching in and out and actually working the hours they submit.

Maybe this is one of the reasons why so few tried out for SWAT this time around.

And just wait til these guys discover that they're going to be stuck at the airports or in the subways 90% of the time.

I know a SWAT team is necessary in big cities, Chicago being no exception. But past the title and 'bragging rights', I don't quite understand the draw.

Maybe I'm missing something, but guys I know trying out for SWAT have done some of (or more than) the following just in the hopes of passing the initial testing phases: costly firearms and tactical training paid out-of-pocket & burning their own time to take additional prep courses.

Now, assuming they make the cut, factor in no take home vehicles, no bump in salary and a department and city that obviously doesn't recognize or respect the sacrifices those guys make, and I say "you can have it". You want me to respond to an HBT in my personal vehicle, but won't indemnify me when I t-bone someone? I don't think so.

I recently observed a SWAT unit stopping a group of mouthbreathers to knock out contact cards and ANOVs! Are you fuckin' serious?! And now if they're really going to have to join the "Hug a Thug" movement and babysit ghetto savages, I predict more will bail. That euphoric feeling from the SWAT-flavored Kool-Aid will quickly wear off.

SWAT should do what SWAT does...train, train and train some more. Physical training, tactical training, firearms training and classroom training. They should be available to respond from one or more strategic locations at the drop of a hat in department-provided vehicles that have every bell and whistle to do their job 110%. They don't need to be knocking on fucking doors in 006 and 015 telling assholes to behave - there's more than enough do-nothing slugs at HQ and excess baggage in every DCs office to make those types of housecalls.

CPD SWAT an elite unit? Not when they're reduced to making sure ghetto kids get to school because the parent(s) won't. Not be a long shot.

I feel for my former Swat brothers. There are a good group of guys who dedicate themselves trying to make the team the best in the nation. Unfortunately they are hamstrung by the city and the department. They stay because they don't want to fail, they constantly believe it's going to get better, but it never does! You take one step forward, then get kicked three steps back. It's very frustrating because you know with some support the team can be the best in the nation. I was on HBT and there for the transition to a full time swat team in 2005. We were promised so much in 2005 but most of those promises never made it to fruition. I was there until I made detective, I didn't realize how much the team was affecting me until I left. I am definitely a lot happier man now. You know the old saying that the grass isn't always greener on the other side, in this case it maybe, don't be afraid to take that plunge. The city and the department doesn't care about you or your family. You are just another cow in the herd that they will milk dry and then replace you with someone else. You deserve so much more respect than what is given. All of the time spent away from the family, money spent, constant changing of schedule, call outs in the middle of the night, jobs in all the worst weather. You deserve better. The only way the swat team will be successful is if the mayor and sup want it to be! I have hope for you guys but I am not holding my breath. I wish nothing but the best for you guys. Stay safe

Warning jagoffs like that isn’t going to prevent their murders. They’re sociopaths and one characteristic of a sociopath is that they are unable to understand the consequences of their actions. Even if you tell them they’re about to be murdered they won’t believe it and they’ll continue doing whatever put them at risk.

You will need us and we will be late responding cause we don't have take home cars. Remember from 2 am to 6 am no one is on duty with SWAT. Now because of the summer initiatives no SWAT member is working from 2pm to 5:30 pm. It's not that we are special but considering the city has only two armored vehicles. Well make that one. Why? Because one of them is always breaking down.

Other major cities have four to six armored vehicles and every member on the team has a take home SUV with all his equipment. This city including the exempts does not support our SWAT team.

A hostage was lost in 2006 due to the lack of Explosive Breaching. Did that change anything? Nothing!!!! Guiliford made promises he couldn't keep. Broken promises. By the way Fuck you Guiliford!!!! You have done zero for SWAT. You used HBT and SWAT as a stepping stone for your career. You really should be ashamed of yourself.

We are not ready. No equipment, no vehicles, no training. Sad to say but it's true, good men and women along with citizens of Chicago will die because of the neglect in training and equipment for not just SWAT but for CPD. The city in its wisdom spent hundreds of millions of dollars given by Homeland Security to,prepare for terrorist attacks on overtime for VRI. This city is doomed not just for crime but for a well coordinated terrorist attack we are fucked!!!

Hey Douchebag you really are an asshat!!! How the hell are we scared of the ghetto when 90 percent of our work is in the ghetto? Search warrants, patrolling, and HBT jobs are in the ghetto. We are pissed because this city doesn't use SWAT in a correct fashion. Did you see how long it took SWAT to respond in our personal vehicles to the HBT job on LSD? 3 hours. Fuck this!!! I'm not killing myself by driving out to Joliet or Marsallies or the FBI training center in North Chicago in my personal car.

By going to gangbanger's houses in SWAT uniforms we are opening ourselves up for harassment charges and civil rights violations. No extra pay, no take home car, no equipment, no support from the dept, thousands of dollars I spent in gas, on equipment and even with overtime I lose money. Here's my new attitude concerning SWAT. When this fucked up Dept decides to get serious on having a SWAT team then I will get a better attitude. Other cities make sure their SWAT team is set up for success. Our chain of command makes sure CPD SWAT is set up for failure.

Too busy doing Safe Passage, or making sure we are caressing the savages. No training center, no outdoor ranges, the Sgt's are use less. Wrong..... How are the SWAT guys documenting this contact with Person's of Interest? They need PC to stop a subject or visit a person's home. This type of visit cannot be considered a check the welfare of a citizen cause it doesn't have a complainant. Using SWAT in itself is an escalation of use of force. Sounds like no one has run this initiative by legal affairs. If I were you SWAT, I would be very careful in what your being asked to do. I cannot believe SWAT does not have take home cars in this day and age. Huge lawsuit if one of you guys hurt someone driving to an HBT job. This city will not cover you. What if you get killed while driving there? Think of your families!! Why put your families through that grief? First of all, your private insurance will not cover you because your family car is not considered an employment car. This is just a job!! All the exempts have take home cars. They make the big money and are they going through the door?

Be safe not just from the criminal element but also the powers to be that want to step on your back to rise to the top. Remember a warrior's mind is his most formidable weapon. The sharper the commander's mind the sounder the decisions. Our CPD commanders are as sharp as a spoon.

Looks like round two for the 10th District commander. Another carnival is assembling on Sacramento Boulevard and Ogden Avenue in the park. The school Sgt, formerly 1070, has a plan of action. All dist. personnel will be on alert adorned in black BDUs and have their gas gear available. Air assets, namely PH1 & PH2 will be deployed for strategic flyovers. SWAT’s Mobile Response Vehicle or the Merv tank will be fitted with additional sound amplification equipment for 1070’s exclusive use and will provide the platform to bark out white shirt orders. The school sgt will strategically deploy his tactical platoons assuring his 10th District command will not be embarrassed this time. The command van will be unleashed and the school sgt wants the foremost leading role of head dispatcher in charge (HDIC) of the designated alternate freak, citywide 6.

The newest challenge? The former 1070 must move over for the new sheriff on days. Beat 1020 2nd watch boasts she was in 011 tact practicing police and busting heads. Ten year plus veterans in 011 & 011 tact never heard, never saw her nor was observed in open court fulfilling the obligatory appearances for all those arrests. Is she writing her own resume or making this stuff up? Shuffling papers in Deployment Operations (Unit 116) is a qualifier which trumps the excessive oral skills of the Homer Simpson looking school sgt. Her tactical experience and endless war stories are much more qualifying talk that puts that old hoarse throat 1070 to shame. Inquiring minds want to know how this one plays out.

Beat 1070 will be replaced by a new, fresh soft spoken feminine voice in the 2nd watch 1020 which in essence castrates his all talk game. Looks like 1070 will be left in the cold singing Soprano. He may want to join this carnival and start a new career as a big top ring leader and command the center stage.

A couple years a retired armored truck was deployed in Englewood on the summer weekends. It was painted dark gray complete with blue lights and sirens much like the current S.W.A.T. vehicles. A street disturbance broke out and a call for an assist was broadcast. This truck shows up as show of force just like a wagon. Some copper eggs on the kids that stones, gunfire etc. could not break the vehicle’s bulletproof windows. Next thing you know the kids are pelting this vehicle with rocks, sticks and assorted garbage. The armored car police then activate the lights and sirens. This encourages more bad behavior and the next thing you hear on the p.a. are threatened arrests of the 6-9 year old kids. The vehicle was soundly defeated by the children and left the area in disgrace. It was worth a laugh or two.

Get in right away and not wait for SWAT to suit up and arrive in their take home cars. Plenty of carnage can happen during that time. Not saying its right or wrong, but at Columbine kids were getting murdered while the police were surrounding the place and trying to make contact with the shooters.

How many times and when was the last time SWAT "took the shot" and ended the situation?
I know, better to be trained and not be needed, than not to have been trained. Just saying.

Excellent post!!!!. Thank you for taking the time to write an accurate description on what SWAT should be doing. Unfortunately, our chain of command is a bunch of do nothing, ass kissers, gold digging, never been the police, on their knees, hand jobs.

Awhile back in 011 I overheard one of the SWAT nerds tell a PPO "either you're SWAT or you're NOT". I looked at the PPO and said "be glad you're NOT. One, so you don't have to be one of the departments whores in khakis and two, so you don't become a straight up cocksucker like him". The look on SWAT guys face was classic. You're SWAT or you're not. What a fucking douchebag!!!

You see I am on the SWAT team that you have completely destroyed. It's pretty sad when Chicago Cops wish that FBI Jody was back. As soon as I arrive home I turn off my blackberry. Thanks to you I don't have to worry about being called in the middle of the night or on my days off. I'm going to have a great summer with my family. Thanks Supt for being a complete moron and a drunk. You should become a consultant on how to destroy a police dept!!!

SWAT should get over themselves. Since the tragedy at Columbine, police departments are taking a new tactic.
Get in right away and not wait for SWAT to suit up and arrive in their take home cars. Plenty of carnage can happen during that time. Not saying its right or wrong, but at Columbine kids were getting murdered while the police were surrounding the place and trying to make contact with the shooters.

http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/nation/2009-04-19-columbine-police-tactics_N.htm?csp=usat.me

Well lookie what we got here. Georges and Guiliford talking tactics. Add McBoobie and now you have the three stooges. Wow you sound like you are a real tactics guy. I'm sure SEAL Team 6 can use your tactical mind. Well douche you are right on Active Shooter. Now what do you do on a barricaded subject? How about hostage rescue? You ready to take that head shot cowboy when he's holding a kid? You know how to plan a high risk warrant? Let's go tactician, we could use you on SWAT. Take the test. The tactics used for today's Active Shooter have been the norm for the last ten years. If you ever left your little district and went to some training you would know. Here's a dollar, go get some ice cream while the grown ups talk. No doubt you are going to make a good exempt.

Since it's pick on SWAT day let's get the facts straight. We don't have big Army Toys. That would be another SWAT team. Ours are broken down and don't work. We wait for search warrants to come in but districts want to do it themselves until they get shot at and then we start getting called. As far as putting us in a district, go right ahead. Don't threaten me with a good time. Straight watch. No calls in the middle of the night. Put us in a district and your SWAT team will be even with Robbin's SWAT Team. We are just slightly better then Robbins but Harvey SWAT is better then us.

This police dept has been destroyed with the likes of Geores, Wysinger, Guilifart, West, Pena. And the list goes on. These "soup"ervisors never locked people up. Sad to say but it's true, good men and women along with citizens of Chicago will die because of the neglect in training and equipment for not just SWAT but for CPD. Under the Freedom of Information Act they can easily compare the capabilities, equipment, and training of CPD SWAT to the likes of LAPD, FBI, Illinois State Police, NIPAS. Fuck this bogus dept. Embarrass these bosses and the Supt. Gross negligence on the city's part for not having the proper SWAT response especially after 911.

Think about it.

How do you approach?

Which doors?

Knocking on these doors?

Who answers? How many people there? Kids? Dogs? Hazards? Escape routes?

Taking notes, photos from the public way..

If done right, this is a RECON mission.

I fart in your general direction said, BUT was wrong on a few things:

Maybe this is one of the reasons why so few tried out for SWAT this time around. (WRONG. 169 guys tried out but only 66 made it past the PT & shoot)

And just wait til these guys discover that they're going to be stuck at the airports or in the subways 90% of the time. (WRONG. They rotate. Plus Isn't the airports where all the old timers go to enjoy their ladder years on this Dept? Not so bad)

I know a SWAT team is necessary in big cities, Chicago being no exception. But past the title and 'bragging rights', I don't quite understand the draw.
(If you dont enjoy staying in shape, shooting, training then YOU wouldn't understand. Plus D2 pay soon)

Maybe I'm missing something, but guys I know trying out for SWAT have done some of (or more than) the following just in the hopes of passing the initial testing phases: costly firearms and tactical training paid out-of-pocket & burning their own time to take additional prep courses. (CORRECT. Nothing wrong with preparation for the most legit testing process in this dept. Plus D2 pay is coming, so it was a "promotional test")

(WRONG. D2 pay next contract. Take home cars soon)

(WRONG. Blog lies. If they want SWAT to ring door bells and get paid for it so be it)

SWAT should do what SWAT does...train, train and train some more. Physical training, tactical training, firearms training and classroom training. They should be available to respond from one or more strategic locations at the drop of a hat in department-provided vehicles that have every bell and whistle to do their job 110%. They don't need to be knocking on fucking doors in 006 and 015 telling assholes to behave - there's more than enough do-nothing slugs at HQ and excess baggage in every DCs office to make those types of housecalls.(CORRECT. I AGREE)

CPD SWAT an elite unit? Not when they're reduced to making sure ghetto kids get to school because the parent(s) won't. Not be a long shot. (WRONG. It is an elite unit that is just misguided at the moment. Sadly it will take a tragic event to happen before they fund SWAT properly)

SWAT is in a transition period. It is transitioning from a SWAT Team to a bunch of babies who wear green. The posts confirm the solidarity, loyalty, dedication, and commitment these goofs exercise. Sad.

True. The Lt. has allowed the team to falter. He has failed to lead the team towards success, unification, and anything close to the semblance of a 'team.' Other units at Homan Square don't use SWAT because the Lt. has isolated, insulted and been an arrogant prick to all he encounters. That arrogance has carried over and officer safety has been compromised. That which was, is no more. Sad.

But the team is equally to blame for its arrogance, loss of direction, lack of compunction and child-like behavior. Peacocks flaunting their green feathers while some have never gone thru a door against an unknown adversary. Warrior medics that haven't done an ounce of training but have "war" experience yet fails to carry that warrior ethos over to the civilian side. The unity is nonexistent and the finger pointing, name calling and blame game runs amuck.

Leadership, integrity, true grit can carry this team out of the ashes and back to the forefront of what it means to be SWAT. Until that happens, enjoy trick or treating, tickets, ANOVs and safe passage.

Declaration of Truth Part 1

SCC I'm sorry for the long post. You may want to keep this post with a time stamp. I'm sure one day you will want to reference it.

First and foremost, I am a Chicago Police Officer. This is my Declaration of Truth. I took an oath as a Chicago Police Officer and have always tried to bring honor upon the Chicago Police Department. My oath included, "I shall endeavor to give thoughtful, intelligent obedience to the commands of my superiors, to obey the Constitution and laws of my country and the State of Illinois in a way that will set my behavior for the remainder of my career with the Chicago Police Department".

My duties to serve and protect with ; Courage, Commitment, Integrity, Community. My current duties on the police department are being a member of SWAT. Nothing more, nothing less. I am no different then any other police officer. My oath was taken as a Chicago Police Officer not as a Chicago SWAT Officer. I noticed that the oath we took as Chicago Police Officers states, "I shall endeavor to give thoughtful, intelligent obedience to the commands of my superiors, to obey the Constitution and laws of my country and the State of Illinois". SCC readers, I have given "thoughtful, intelligent obedience to my superiors." Unfortunately, our superiors have not given thoughtful, intelligence obedience commands to their subordinates.

Declaration of Truth Part 2

My oath also included obeying the U.S. Constitution, "where and if lawfully required, I further commit myself to defend the Constitution and laws of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, either by military, noncombatant, or civilian service". With that being said, I have a duty to expose the deceit and treachery of how the leadership has committed gross negligence and deliberate indifference in preparing and training its police force. In the last ten years the city has paid out 230 million dollars in wrongful deaths suit concerning CPD. If true leadership and a mindset for training existed how many Chicago Police Officers would have never lost their lives? How many of our citizens felt betrayed by actions that could have been prevented through proper training? Instead of paying out on these lawsuits how about more In-Service firearms, target discrimination and defensive tactics training for our police officers? You gold stars should be ashamed of yourselves! A culture of appeasement, mediocrity and nepotism to betray your oath for a shiny metal star that symbolizes nothing to you.

Compare CPD SWAT to other major cities. You think this city is prepared? Terrorism, kidnappings, maritime activities, active shooter and hostage rescue? We are not ready. No equipment, no vehicles, no training. Sad to say, but it's true, good men and women in blue will die along with many of the citizens living in Chicago. We have not been given a fighting chance. The merit promotions of Exempts, have been promoted above their abilities and have robbed us of training and equipment not just for SWAT but for all police officers in Chicago. U.S.Homeland Security has given the City of Chicago hundreds of millions of dollars to prepare and train all it's police officers for terrorist attacks. The city has taken the money and used it for overtime initiatives that have produced little results in fighting crime, and zero preparedness for terrorism.

The citizens of Chicago deserve the truth and deserve better. This is our tax dollars that are being misused. We will fight for what we believe in. Media, I urge you to begin to ask the proper questions. Where has all the federal grant money gone to prepare the city for Hostage, Barricaded, Terrorist (HBT) incidents? Should SWAT assets be utilized to knock on gang banger's doors or should we be training on perishable skills and supporting the patrol division through the execution of high risk search warrants, high threat arrest operations with the narcotics and detective's division. 100 million dollars has been spent on VRI what exactly was accomplished? How many criminals were placed in jail or are serving time? Strategies?

5/22/2014 07:24:00 PM

Declaration of Truth Part 3

Neglect, waste and fraud have been the reason why this city is not prepared. Any media that is monitoring this site we urge you to look into how this city is not prepared for major critical incidents. The LSD incident is proof on how one criminal shut down a major thoroughfare for 10 hours. Compare us to other major cities. Compare us to the Illinois State Police or even the Suburban Mutual Aid SWAT Teams. (Keep in mind that over 100 million dollars has been spent on VRI, but there is no money to fund SWAT)

Hardly any squad cars for SWAT. Only 20 percent of the team have the worst cars that should've been taken out of service many miles ago. Compare our response time to that of other cities. Why is there no formal call out system for SWAT? Look at the squad cars that Exempts use and ask to see the SWAT take home vehicles. For the SWAT members that are lucky to have a junker, they secure the trunk with a chain and lock. Police Officers are forced to respond to HBT jobs in their own personal family vehicles. SWAT officers have had their own personal vehicles broken into and have had thousands of dollars in equipment stolen. (Keep in mind that 100 million dollars has been spent on VRI, no money for SWAT)

Compare our SWAT capabilities to NYPD, LAPD, ISP or other major city SWAT teams? Look at the equipment. No proper training centers or ranges. Can CPD SWAT effectively respond to an HBT incident on any of the waterways in the city. The answer is No. Has CPD SWAT trained with any helicopters for anti-terrorist operations and hostage rescue on high rises or for assaulting unto ships. No. We have zero capabilities and equipment to react on any water including a bath tub. In the last 10 years we have had a total of ten days of training on the water. Just imagine what could happen. Look at the armored vehicles that CPD has compared to other major SWAT teams. One armored vehicle (Bearcat) is currently working which is ten years old and is rusting. The second armored vehicle (MRAP), the military gave it to us for free and it has spent more time in the shop then being used. It is currently in the shop with electrical problems. (Keep in mind that 100 million dollars has been spent on VRI, no money for SWAT)

Declaration of Truth Part 4

Bottom line, the Exempts, Superintendent, past Mayor and current Mayor could care less about the Chicago Police Department or it's citizens. They are clueless and negligent for how they have failed to prepare this city. Their inflated salaries and pensions are not deserving for they have failed the rank and file.

I am a Chicago Police Officer first and last. If members of SWAT have treated you badly or offended you, I apologize. Every district and every team has their share of idiots. We are no exception. Again I am sorry.

Go ahead, say we are crybabies at SWAT. Make your ignorant comments. But my father taught me that honesty is better then sugar coated bullshit. Not one SWAT officer would ever refuse any request to go through a door first for our fellow brothers and sisters in blue. We want to do everything we can to put ourselves in harms way, before any of you have too.

Thank you for reading this.

How does CPD SWAT team rate against other cities or the State Police? What are waterborne operations? Why don't you guys have take home cars? How are you suppose to respond when your off duty? You really don't have anyone working from 2 am to 6 am. WTF!!! What happens if we need a SWAT? You don't get anything extra for pay? Sounds pretty pathetic to me.

CPD SWAT is an above average team with limited or no support from the current Superintendent and the exempts. The team has a solid foundation because of Lt MM. Many former or current members of the team may disagree with this statement but it's true. The past leadership had no idea what a SWAT was really like. They attempted to turn the team into the phone call unit like HBT was. Lt MM has vision but as everyone knows, a Lt on this police department has no real power. Flores, Skahill, Georges and Guiliford run the team and they lack vision or the knowledge to make this team greater. A good comparison would be, they have been riding a scooter their whole lives and were just placed in the cockpit of an F-16. Crash and Burn.

No cars, no boats, no extra pay, bad equipment, bad Sgt's and terrible misuse of the team due to lack of knowledge.

Nicely said Declaration of Truth. If what you say is true, then the media should pick up on the story. I have several friends at SWAT and they are far from being dog asses.

Typical Shitcago Fashion. Let people die. Have a press conference. Fire someone. Make promises. Don't keep promises. Play the odds and don't do anything until more people die. Repeat cycle.

The reason SWAT does not have the equipment and vehicles is because the crooked politicians and fucked up leadership haven't figured out how to steal money for themselves. Once they do they they will buy SWAT everything you don't need. The exempts will then decide what you need if though there asses have never even fired their weapons since recruits.

That is horrible. Something needs to done. What can citizens do?

Might be more pleasant than you think. Some po's would bitch and complain if they had SS ,days, a take home car and no assignments.

When you start trashing the Dept and suggesting embarrassing the Supt and Bosses you lost your warrior status. Warriors don't behave that way.

WTF Warrior status? You have been watching to much UFC and boxing. Warrior status, you are a po and any training in SWAT doesn't make you a warrior except in your mind.

If SWAT guys don't like the task that is assigned to them, they can always go back to patrol.

5/21/2014 02:44:00 AM
And have to actually work for a living? Pleeeeease!! Besides they would not look as cool in a blue uniform driving a beat car, as they do in there green combat pj's.

and for all of you that hammer SWAT. dont hate. just because you dont have what it takes dont harp on the guys that actually enjoy it. by far one of the best units in the department if thats what you enjoy doing.

5/21/2014 09:42:00 AM
Typical SWAT tough guy response. "Wahhh you couldn't cut it as SWAT that's why you hate us". Listen meathead, put on a regular blue uniform, without your cool toys and super duper green flak jacket, get a beat car and do some Police work. Arrogant little boys who think they are better than everyone else.

Stop lying. Does your mother know you are playing on her computer? You must've been one of those dudes who tried out and failed. Now go back and play with your GI Joe dolls.

5/21/2014 04:50:00 PM
It must have been really embarrassing when he said that to you in front of the PPO. Don't worry about it pal. I certainly am not worried. Cause I know when the real shit goes down you are here to save the day and swoop in to save me from....not sure what your gonna save me from but I appreciate you anyway. And for the record I hated GI Joe, I am more of a He-man fan

I dunno. I have no animosity or hatred for SWAT but if some of you guys would just stop playing Navy SEAL like the SWAT guy that walked into my district one day with the bandana on his head and the knife mounted up on his shoulder ala Jesse Ventura, maybe the animosity would stop. Perhaps dressing like the ESU guys do in NY should be considered.

Did you ever think that he was stopping in before or after serving a high risk search warrant or a HBT job. Bandana is used to keep the sweat from running into your eyes while wearing a helmet. If you ever spent some time in the sand box you would've understood the dress attire. Show some respect

LMAO...All these wannabe "Operators"..Wearing a bandanna into the station for no reason?..."They drew First Blood,Sir"...Get over yourself,ya megalomaniac,no one gives a shit and no one cares about your low self-esteem issues...Except for you..Go see a psychiatrist and get help.

Noooo, he was playing Navy SEAL. Did you ever stop to think that maybe I too served in the sandbox and wore a helmet? Did you stop to think that perhaps the bandana would have been sweated up if he actually been serving a high risk warrant or was on a HBT job? Did you stop to think that perhaps he told us what he was doing?

Show some common sense instead of being an asshat!
