- A burglar who broke into the Norwood Park home of a Chicago Police detective was heard talking to the family's dog before responding officers found him sleeping in the ransacked living room clutching a broken Kindle Fire, prosecutors said.
Wondale Collier, 30, broke into the detective's Norwood Park home early Friday morning, according to a police report.
The detective was not home, but his wife awoke to the sound of a strange man's voice talking to their dog, prosecutors said.

It's not section 8's fault, it's the building owners who accept section 8 vouchers. As a building owner you are not obligated to accept section 8 vouchers. I'm going to guess that the building owners live far away in the suburbs.

Back in the 80's my parents basement was burglarized. When the police came over and walked around looking they stepped in the load the burglar left right on the floor.
5900 Eastwood - all single family and a few two flats. No Section 8 housing on the block. This guy had some sort of breakdown. He probably has a mental illness of some kind. Ease up. I live down the block and it is the best place I have lived in Chicago.
My 2 German 120 lb German Shepherds would have ended his burglary career real fast.
Get a real dog and you wont have those issues of belly rubs.

they do crime because they don't have access to your local grocery stores, your local parks, etc. so govt spreads out their section 8 housing into former good, safe areas.
the effect of this is they just moved the crime wave around so instead of concentrated patrolling in those high crime areas, now pd has to cover a lot more areas.

A few years back, my son played High School baseball with the son of a suburban police chief. He once told me that his town had an influx of section 8 and former project dwellers from the city and his town had the problems related to it. The problem is everywhere.

I'll let Greek lightening loose before I rent to Section 8 scum. My apartments are word of mouth, never go in the paper or advertised in pubic. The various law offices and liberal assholes send shills around all wired up to see if you will rent to section 8. A white person calls and a black person shows up. No thank.
