I read that article and it was terrible what it said about our governor. A governor that was fairly elected by a majority of the people of our great state. The article blamed all sorts of ills, both real and imaginary and all exagerated on our Gov. The Gov. is making progress, there are some problems with the states economy, but give him time. Rome was not built in a day, and don't believe everything the article says about us. People are moving into the state, our economy is on the rebound, crime is five times worse in St. Louis than it is in Chicago, and our governor is trying his best to do what is right for the state and it's citizens.

people wake up. This is all fixed. Madigan, Daly , Rahm and all the bosses are really Republicans and they are getting old and now they are putting Rauner in office. Believe me when I say this. They are sick of taking care of the Revs and playing the game with the urban side of things. This is all deliberate and part of a bigger plan. Same actors just new names. it is clear when the Rev Brooks is lining up behind the "Republican" Raurner. Trust me

Rauner and Rahm are in cahoots. Remember what Kass calls Illinois government? The combine. There is no two party system in government. They are going to try to screw us on our pension.
As a side note, isn't it a coincidence that Rahm had mountains moved so he can become mayor, his brother the Dr. was involved in Obamacare, and his other brother is a big shot in Hollywood? Someone much bigger behind the scenes setting this up. I'm gonna take off my tinfoil hat now.

Sorry sir but Quinn has had more than enough time and how pathetic that you have to compare Chicago to St. Louis...Quinn should join former Governor Ryan in the long list of Illinois corruption.

Ha-ha-ha, they eviscerate Gov Potato-Head. This is in the first paragraph: 'I start off in Hinsdale, Ill., hometown of Pat Quinn, America’s Worst Governor™.' Rotfl, now that's a friggen keeper. (Rauner should use it.)

This is the last paragraph before the pay-wall: 'If you seek a monument to Governor Pat Quinn, take a good long whiff of the despair and decay around here. If his political career is indeed euthanized this November, they should bury its rotting carcass right here in East St. Louis...snip... If this is the Land of Lincoln, then Pat Quinn is the gubernatorial John Wilkes Booth.'

I don't see how Potato-Head can survive again. Hell, I don't see how the moron beat Bill Brady last time.

Well, that is, except for that bullshit ad he put out during the last week in Oct about Brady not paying any income tax for two years. The TRUTH was that Brady didn't 'pay' any income tax because he DIDN'T OWE ANY TAXES. His only source of income was from Business Income and he had LOSSES those years, ergo, no taxes.

Now Potato Head is using the same lying schtick on Rauner; Not Paying Into Social Security. And like with Brady, Rauner DIDN'T OWE anything for Social Security. Being Self Employed & having Business Income is 100% different than working for someone & getting a paycheck. But dem's wouldn't know about 'having a business' as they exist by sucking off the teat of taxpayers the day they move out of mommy's basement.

I haven't even read the article but it seems to me the Emanuel/Rauner cabal have enlisted their media buddies to hammer Quinn. Free campaign publicity for Rauner, the ousting of an enemy for Rahm. Good to have strings you can pull in the media, especially if you have an agenda.
And before you slam me for being pro-Quinn, I'm not. He's an idiot and he's had plenty of time to turn this state around, which he hasn't done. I'm just commenting on the timing and motivation of this article.

Personally, I believe that Rham has Rauner running as a RHINO, but once elected he'll be in Rhams pocket. Rauner will be the catalyst for the city not to honor their pension obligations.
Rauner has donated $$ to Rham a while back.

A good summary of Pandering Pat.

To those on the fence or not thinking Rauner is good, here is my take-

TOO MANY lawyers in government. Get some business people in. Get some different perspectives. Don't keep re-electing these hacks.

You can ALWAYS change a guy out if he is bad in four years.

Instead, you would rather reward total and demonstrated incompetence than kick it out?

Where is the LOGIC there? That's beyond Asshat logic, it's crackpipe logic.

Rauner is no goof. Stop buying off on the TV BS.

I look at it this way, if the guy has THAT much money, he is not going to be trying to steal when he is in office. He's not going to be asking for $20K for an appointment or a state job. Or $500,000 for a senate seat.

Too many politicians (lawyers) got rich while in office. How does THAT happen?

Get these "regulars" off the public trough.

Rauner talks "term limits". You'll never hear Quinn or any of the regulars talk about term limits or even trust the electorate with a referendum on term limits. Why?

To me, that in itself speaks volumes.

Vote the incumbents out.

Remember the tearful American Indian public service ad that told you not to litter...he's now probably laughing his ass off at the Liberals.
But anyway, Rauner is a cut and run money maker, likely to involve the State in many investments that will make Illinois appear solvent as Apple or Exxon, benefactors will be HIS pals and pols. Quinn is just going to keep the status quo.
I say keep the status quo and hope The Fed will finally wake up.
Dumping Rahm from City Hall is paramount for reform, the Governor and Speaker will get their due.
