Retired politicians don't ever stop - they just become "consultants" or lobbyists and keep stuffing their faces at the trough:
- Three years after leaving City Hall, former Mayor Richard M. Daley has gone after a government contract in Chicago, apparently for the first time, records obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times show.
But Daley’s Tur Partners — the company he formed with his son Patrick Daley when he left office in 2011 — was part of a group that suddenly dropped out of consideration for the deal to develop 9.5 acres of government land in the West Side medical center district on May 13, in the middle of the process to choose a developer.
That left just two bidders, each with ties to the former mayor, vying to develop the property for the Illinois Medical District Commission.
The winning bidder, IMD Gateway Partners, has hired Daley’s nephew Patrick Daley Thompson — a lawyer and Metropolitan Water Reclamation District commissioner who recently announced he’s running for the Chicago City Council — to handle the project’s zoning issues with City Hall, according to a spokesman for developer Jack Higgins.
Lots of connections there. And the rumored haul?
- just $300 million or so
And this involved the nephew running for aldercreature. Isn't it about time to put an end to the "business-as-usual" jagoffs?

Just goes to show, on big projects, when you need to smooth over the tons of paper work, get things moving and make them happen, than hire the folks that know the territory and have the contacts. Who better than the Daleys?
Make sure your Department's Ethics Training is completed by the City deadline. You wouldn't want to ever influence any City business dealings while simultaneously working for the City.
To the judge that dismissed Shakman this past summer. FU. This is precisely the shit that we are furious about in Chicago. You failed us Judge. You failed America.
This mother fucker is like that guy that comes to your house for the party eats all the food drinks all the beer and won't leave. Then after the prick does leave he try's to sneak back in and take your fucking t.v and anything else he can get his greedy little hands on. Insatiable fuckin greed is all it is.

Developer Jack Higgins? Isn't his daughter the person who lied to the police during the Koschman investigation ? The same names keep reappearing over and over again . When will we learn and vote these people out. They won't put them in jail where they belong, never even made to answer for any of their transgressions.
Ex US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald was, apparently, the only person in Chicago who didn't know Daley was a thief and all around crook.
He had years to jail that grinning, thieving rat, and didn't do it. Now he makes millions in a Daley connected law firm. Go figure.

Keep the daley's out of any Chicago business or politics it's a name that brings horrible memories back to anyone [legit] that works and lives here.
Let's not forget Patrick Daley's sewer inspection and airport wifi contracts,,,,and that was when the old jagballs was in office.

This new US Attorney was given his marching orders by Durbin and the rest: gangbangers, drug dealers and gun violence is priority. There is no more political corruption in Chicago so he doesn't need to worry about indicting and imprisoning politicians like Patrick Fitzgerald did for 9 years.

How is he pimping deals when he is supposed to be disabled from a stroke? If he can cut a deal he can give a deposition on the Milenium Park Restaurant.

Starz showed a very realistic (frighteningly so) show called "Boss" for a couple of seasons around 2010-2012. It was very suddenly canceled. Probably hit a little too close to home for someone's comfort level.
