More Clues - Detectives Soon

If you check out the Administrative Faxes at the desk or on the computer yesterday, you would have seen that the Department is currently soliciting interested Detectives for Financial Crimes and Auto Theft positions. That means they're moving the clouted individuals/interested parties to specialized spots prior to promoting the new guys and gals who will be back-filled where needed.

Update those resumes people!

Watch as silly resumes' are handed in with loads of lies.

You will be Lucki to be accepted to those specialized units.
Learn to squash cases in a blink of an eye and only handle cases city hall approves.

Both are lucrative positions that give people skills that are in demand in the private sector. Guys who have these spots on a resume retire and are rewarded with a 100K+ job. I knew 2 guys who did this in the past. I'm sure there are guys who know they are going there. Its not a big surprise.

This is the typical Department smokescreen. Of course those positions have already been filled. They just want applications and resumes for filler so they can point to the world wide search they conducted to find the best and the brightest.

They used to post for those sweet jobs in the Daily Bulletin. Of course they already had someone's nephew or mistress picked out. You were a stroke if you filled out anything thinking you might have a real chance. You did not have any chance. Nothing has changed.

Would not want to work in financial crimes for the simple reason of the who the useless, clouted, merit hack of a commander is. Financial was a good spot to be in as a detective, but this guys gets his hands on everything he knows NOTHING about.

Is this the same Financial Crimes that had the incident with the Barbie Detective who shoplifted certain items?

How interesting when Friends of Phil was in charge Auto Theft was disbanded because we did nothing and auto theft was an insurance companies problem until the insurance companies complained about the financial contributions they made to get stronger legislation passed to slow down the chop shop salvage yard racket that was largely mob run and accounted for several homicides. It's not about pookey with a peeled column thats just stats arrests. Its more about organized insurance fraud, re-vin'ng high end cars and reselling them, shipping cars stolen here overseas, crushing stolen cars for scrap, but Phil and friends didnt see any crime worth investigating and certainly didnt care if your insurance rates rose because crimes were prosecuted. Certain Area 2 Sgts (now retired) treated financial identity theft the same way, unfounding cases before a Det' could call a victim because a bank or credit card company would take the financial loss and just pass it along to us in interest rates. And sweet job's your right Lucki enough to get a fed task force with a take home covert and Fed stipend of $13k and you day is set, much like fugitive task force for the chosen few who WILL make RANK.

How many or when was the last time anyone has heard of a major arrest in either auto theft or financial crimes. What a joke like gambling and vice oh that's right Chicago has no gambling unit anymore. It doesn't matter all they ever arrested were blacks shooting dice. This department is a joke.

Well I suppose if your not sitting right next to them you probably wouldn't recall any major case because it's just not sexy enough for the news like a dude murder. They are currently clearing and recovering over 250 stolen autos, with several arrests. Before that they took down a thief with over a million dollars of stolen construction machinery. Maybe if they had more than six detectives and a Sgt.you would probably see more volumn than you currently hear about.

That's pure bullshit, unless you're counting follow-ups on a PSMVs. But stop with the working dicks getting it done in Autos nonsense,it's always been a clout stroke cush job in the D-Unit and will continue to be.

Do you plan on taking the test? Just wondering. I'm guessing you didn't do too good on the "Sargeant's" test. Although im not the grammar police, I do realize that spelling is quality skill to possess upon any type of promotion. SMH....

(off topic) Any detectives looking into a connection between this rash of attempted abductions by similar descriptions? Sounds a lot like new gang activity stealing and selling children.
