HEY - where is FOP denouncing all the protesting going on in Chicago?
NY's FOP got on camera to denounce their mayor and his dumb comments, what about Chicago?
Just goes to show you how ineffective your FOP leadership is. Too afraid they might rock the boat of their clout?
More people would be sympathetic to everyday issues if FOP would "tell it like it is" like this Blog does.
Hahaha, and yet infuriatingly sad. Clearly the Lucas museum coming to down has had quite an effect on Rahm.
I thought things under Daley couldn't get worse, but they did under Rham. I thought things under shields couldn't get worse, but the have under Angelo................

They said 400 cars they didn't say they were going to patrol.

NYPD is bit represented by the FOP, they are members of the PBA, like our Sgt's. You can see the difference in the sgt's contract and ours.
The fop is too busy. I sent them a check for my yearly dues in October. The check wasn't cashed so I called them to see if they had it or if it was lost in the mail. The nice lady who answered the phone said not to worry about it or the November first deadline. They have the checks sitting there but they are too busy to deal with them due to the election? It's now December and my check still hasn't cleared. Guess they don't need the money???
They Had a nice yearly operations calendar on their website that I would download and use. As of yesterday, It hasn't been updated since 2013. Guess they don't have the money???

Hey dean Angelo doing the job for less money.....My Ass!!! If he took the job at the regular pay it would have diminished his disability payouts substantially. Well you can't have that now can you. What a POS full of himself sell out.

I believe that if we get a contract other that what we voted on, we will have to sue FOP for failure to represent. And it's coming! Got it from a good source.
They turned on us. To think that in the end we believed that someone new and not part of the old regime would be a better choice, boy were we mistaken. The whispers is that a conspiracy is afoot to undo some parts of this new contract and the recent memorandum issued by MLA

Shields, got it right. These contracts have always been fixed. Shields mistake was telling it like it is, without being able to prove it. Wait until the reality if just how bad this contract is, sinks in. The peasants will be storming the FOP. with pitchforks and torches.
Being mandated to live in the City should give ALL (not just public safety) city employees children extra points towards getting into selective enrollment schools. I ran this idea by a member of Alderman O'Conner's staff, (41st Ward) a couple of years ago to no avail. She never responded.
The new cars have been here for months. They are sitting off to the side waiting to be fitted with equipment. Again the city baited you fools into thinking you were getting something extra when they planned on giving it to you all along.
