No Wonder Illinois is Broke

  • Fifty-two village and city managers in Illinois earn more than any U.S. governor does, according to a report from Forbes. Three managers make more than $250,000 while leading municipalities that, combined, have fewer than 100,000 residents.

And it’s not just city managers earning exorbitant government salaries: The City of Bloomington’s human-resources director retired with a final year pensionable salary of $252,219. Other highly paid local employees, eligible for pensions, don’t even directly work for the government: Illinois Municipal League executive director Larry Frang hauled in $392,423, while Illinois Association of Parks Districts’ CEO Peter Murphy and Park District Risk Management Association CEO Brett Davis earned salaries of more than $305,000 each. Frang has tripled his pay over the last ten years.

“Employed in the private sector, these chiefs don’t even work for government, but special legislation ‘muscled’ them into the government pension systems,” Forbes’s Adam Andrzejewski explains. “Taxpayers have no control over the amount of salary awarded, but it’s the salaries that drive the lifetime pensions.” Those pensions, in addition to other benefits, make all of the above employees’ total compensation higher than the “pensionable salary” they earn. The list of rank-and-file government employees earning remarkably high wages goes on and on: In 2014, DuPage County outside of Chicago had ten employees that together earned more than $2.021 million.
Managers making six figures, and probably matching pensions. Here's where the $80 billion debt really gets deep..

CSA accusations between PO's that stem from a watch party that ended up at a LT's house. WTF is going on in 011.

NO, NO, NO! Don't look here. Look at the cops! They are the ones busting Illinois with their big pensions.

With love,

Rahm, Madigan and the rest of the shitheads taxing you to death.

Suckers.

And so it goes....let's not forget our beloved former Mayor Daley receives an annual pension of somewhere in the vicinity of $183,000.00 per year, on top of his assigned officer and squad car, his law office with his son, his job at the law firm which brokered the private parking contract (a clear violation of our so-called Ethics laws here in Chicago) and his $125,000+ year job (with an office) at the U of C to write speeches.

And it will never change, of course...this stuff is done off the record, in closed session, where the public can't sit in on the discussions. All perfectly legal, of course. This is why it is so important to vote out ALL INCUMBENTS...so they can't stick around to create their own little 'me and mine only' feifdoms.

They're worth it!

Look at the golden parachute they just gave to the COD president.

Sorry, SSC, but unlike City of Chicago and Springfield, local municipalities really do fully fund their payments to the IMRF pension system every single month. It's now over 90% funded for the long term and is on very solid financial footing.

See, that's the magic of savings - if you faithfully put in a little bit at at time, over time, the whole pot grows big and fat and everyone has a solid income in retirement. All the politicians know this works -- why won't they all play by the rules? Hell, Rahm's a Wall Street guy, you think he doesn't get compounded earnings and actuary tables?

Side note -- each agency pays in its own share based on those exorbitant salaries, so it's local taxpayers footing the bill for those pensions as well, not Chicago trying to choke the entire state with its financial mismanagement.

As long as the those regular, unclouted, nobody-assed cops, firemen and municipal/state public employees get the blame for this mess...

To say nothing of the dirty pricks who gamed the public employee pension system to their obscene benefit.

...Along with their political sponsors who facilitated the theft and are now trying to facilitate the great pension implosion to cover up the thievery...

Heh...
Irony of ironies that the Progressive Political Class, Mainstream Media and the Wall Street hyenas have been pacing just beyond the range of the light of right, law and justifiable neck stretching at the end of some stout Manila Hemp...

If you squint really hard, you can see their eyes in the dark and hear their maniacal laughter about Firemen "learning how to bleed" and Cops getting it "stuck in their ear."

"Pension Reform"
is nothing but the promised redistribution of the last big honey pots of "free" money that's sitting around doing nothing.

>Hee-Hee-Hee-Heeeee!<
Fucking nasty-assed hyenas in Brooks Brothers suits.

"Hey fella... Slide me that .375... I see some ugly m/fers floatin' around out there..."

"YIPE! YIPE! YIP! "

Governor Rauner, as a business man, what say you? Is this where the pension mess went off the cliff? Is this obscene waste of the tax payers money going to continue?

You have the power to bring these tax payers thefts to the people and say "Is this what you want"? This tax payer says "NO". Have at it Governor. Have at it and spare no one.

Never heard of any of these agencies in my life. That must just go to show how indispensable they are.

Now we need a Federation of Illinois Non-Governmental Organizations, to pull them all together for more conventions, more golf outings, more awards banquets. Maybe the president of FOINGO can get himself up into the million-dollar salary range.

These parasites will be the death of us yet.

Oh -- heard how Rauner is increasing state salaries for his appointees? "By 38% in some cases," as I heard it.

Same problem with state schools, city colleges and community colleges. They are all managed by government bodies so the clouted get high-paying, pensioned positions
through nothing but their political connections.

These schools have also become dumping grounds for political hacks who have just lost elections or lost another gov't job. Entire levels do-nothing highly paid administrators could currently be cut and no one would notice a difference.

Think about this when you cut an ever growing check for your kids' schools.

Legalized theft of pension funds and authorized no show jobs. It is shameful and disgusting to allow this to go on for years. But the targets of hate and disgust are still placed on single mothers who want to work but are denied work. Yet these "managers" are making a fantastic living for basically doing nothing. Sickening, we need a leader to abolish this and get the pension funds back. Immediately. Where is the States Attorney?

Those salaries aren't secret, just buried in archaic bookkeeping systems. I wonder what budget cuts were implemented... reducing public safety? Take FOP endorsed Gov. Ruiner for instance, his staff is well paid but his lowly chumbalones will see salary and pension cuts soon. Blago, Ryan and Quinn done it also.
Highly taxed suburbs and nobody is checking where the money goes, oh it's for the "new roads".
Same old -same old.
Forensic audits should be the mainstay in government, starting with Chicago and the TIF's.

220-person federal agency made oil paintings of 17 top staffers

By Luke Rosiak
Published January 30, 2015
Washington Examiner

"A federal agency that provides mediation services between companies and unions spent $3,867 on an ice maker for its office, $300 for a coffee pot and pays monthly bills for satellite TV for its office.

"Paintings of 17 past managers of the 220-employee Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service hang in the office, and the agency spent $2,402 in 2013 because of an "additional request for portrait retouching for Scot Beckenbaugh," an FMCS deputy who merely served as acting director for one year.

"They were actual artwork portraits," said former FMCS employee Tanya Pelcher-Herring. "These people got their portraits done like they were reigning kings or something. One portrait of a former director included his dog. In my 20 plus years of federal service, I've never seen anything like it before."

Hiya Darth Madigan!

Cullerton too!

As long as these two filthy Sith Lords are still ensconced in their offices, voter driven reform initiative will continue to be murdered in it's crib no matter how many times it's resurrected and regardless of who birthed and midwifed it.

Look HERE...
This is where the REAL
Thievery is!

The electorate is stupid
for co-signing on the notion that your average Policemen and Firemen deserve to be hurt by
having their pensions destroyed because the
thievery of the elected class has been uncovered.

Hey scum-times and fibune?
How much were you paid to
not only look the other way,
but also to cheerlead the
fuckery at hand?

The editorial and corporate boards of both rags
deserve to have live video streaming of them decaying alive to skeletons while in federal custody...

Guardians of the public trust in a dead dog's hockey-dot...

Oh wait... Rahm is going to squat and release another "naughty cop" listing into their upturned and eagerly awaiting mouths.

"The public has the right to know what you mean, hateful, racist and insensitive Coppers are doing so STFU gramps!"

>Pffft!<
If only they were so zealous about this OTHER shit.

"Well, you Cops aren't allowed to punch back, so..."

Sic Semper Tyrannis and all that other high falutin' shit.

The Police are the enemy.
Right?

Illinois Democrat (Communist) Politicians and their Union Bolshevicks have been fleecing and rapeing Middle Class Taxpayers for decades, and driving numerous residents and businesses from the State. Only the freeloaders and deadbeats and their puppetmasters the Democommunist Politicians and their pals benefit from life in Illinois, the rest of us can only hope for a few potholes filled, while paying ever increasing tolls, taxes, and fees

Take a look at the average salaries for the Northern 'burbs School Districts

North Shore District 112

Township High School District 113

113 is well over $100K/yr. Administrators all over $200K.

112 has a financial superintendent who makes way over $200K/yr, and when you factor in his pension payment of another $200K/yr - this guy makes about $451K/yr (Moshin Dada is his name)...

Completely fucking insane.

And the other scam is all these taxing bodies giving their people about to retire 6% raises per year until they retire so they spike their pay about 24%...

All these people should get the smackdown...

"No state or municipal pension in Illinois shall exceed $80,000 per year."

Simple law to write and pass.

We don't have employee pensions in Illinois. We have lottery jackpot payouts.

Let's cut the fat because very few, it any, are "winners" on the job.
