The very fact that a Daley got an endorsement shows how stupid anyone is that voted for Angelo and crew.

Not sure why the FOP endorsed an Alderwoman (50th) who's voted 100% of the time with Rahm and who's husband voted for pension reform in the State Senate. It's a little disappointing to hear that several candidates had to either ask for a questionnaire because they weren't sent one initially or didn't even receive it. It's also disappointing to know that FOP in another instance didn't even endorse their own and went with the incumbent who's voted 100% time with both Daley and Rahm.
While the FOP is waxing off CPDs legitimacy. on another note, well on the good side, My department is getting a huge pay increase... I will be able to afford that house in the Hamptons now

So let me get this straight, Anthony Napolitano was a Policeman, who left that job to become a Fireman, but now wants to leave the fireman job to become an Alderman? What happens when and if he decides he doesn’t like the alderman’s job?
Also, I question Napolitanos judgment, why would he have a fundraiser at Mo Dailey’s, Im sure Anthony knows its owned by disgraced former CPD Sean Dailey who was a major embarrassment to the department until he was fired for making false reports to the Niles police.

Dailey sold his interest in the bar - he was losing money, drinking the profits and treated the wait staff as his own personal harem. New crew owns it now, experienced bar folks, nice people
I agree with a previous poster. I think the FOP should stay out of the endorsement game.
But if it does get involved they should endorse the candidate/incumbent that will best advance our agenda and has a chance to win.
It does us no good to endorse a candidate that has no chance of winning JUST because they are the police.
If there is a concentrated effort to get PO's into office than we need to find the most qualified candidates.
Some of the police candidates that are running have very little life experience and even less police experience. Why should I believe they can do anything for us?

Please check Fioretti's legal history. He has made tons of money suing the police. Additionally, back in the day, he would be at my CAPS meeting speaking out against the police. Don't buy into his nonsense...just pandering for votes. I think its sad that these are the candidates we have to choose from in a major city.

John Pope is a good man who comes from a good family. Those of us that know him and have known him for a long time could tell you that.

The FOP P-A-C Committee is about as politically intuitive as the POTUS choosing Al Sharptoon as an advisor. They continually back Madigan Inc, why..."because we may need his support one day". Illinois workers already know his agenda, and we're next.

How about polling the voting membership who they would support and get a real view.

How's about creating mandatory staffing levels before any discussion of city-wide 10-hour shifts in patrol?
Allow PO's to work RDO's in their district of assignment so ALL cars can be 10-4 instead of the current VRI malarkey?

She may be on the police department but SHE is not the police. Pope is going to get the baseball field on city land to the baseball league for a dollar but first they have not ensure all of the their board is gone AND they have to name the field after Mathews.
Pope is the incumbent and has been in our corner 100% of the time. She is dead last in a race of 8 people. She has $200 in her fund and wanted a hand out from FOP. When asked if she was ever at an FOP meeting I was told she lied to the Political Action Committee and said she had been to two or three meetings in the last year. When they checked to books she was at zero meetings. While I may not go to all the meetings I have made about 65% of the meetings since I was on the job and have never seen her there.
Naps is running for Alderman because he wants change. He will help those that need help! That is something these aged Alderman don't do anymore once they are in office. So to the guy who questions Naps you should probably question yourself about what you just said.You might need him someday or your mother or brother. He is in for long term.

I have four doors to choose from. In front of those doors are four men. Three of those men are holding baseball bats and tell me that when I walk through their door they will hit me in the head with that aforementioned baseball bat. The fourth guy tells me that he agrees with me and holds his door open. Which door do you think I am going through?
Fioretti is on the record saying he will protect police and fire pensions. He is on the record saying we need to hire more police. The other three are on record saying the opposite.
If Fioretti turns out to be a liar, we vote him out next time. If Rahm stays in, we are stuck with him for life like Daley.
The choice couldn't be clearer: ANYBODY BUT RAHM!!!! Get out and vote. Make it a run off. Rahm is terrified of a run off. Vote for the other guy.

To correct the record, Officer Webb's mother was a Chicago Police Officer, her step father was a Chicago Police Officer, her cousin is a Chicago Police Officer, her husband is a Chicago Police Officer. Webb's start date is 05 Dec 05, which gives her just over 9 years on this job. She has a bachelors degree in business and a masters degree in public administration, both obtained from Governors State University. Some officers may be in love with the current alderman for whatever reason but there is no disputing that Webb has the education, experience and dedication to perform the duties of a city councilman and our union should have supported one of their own.
Oh boy. so the Webb bashing continues by the same 1 person that is one popes buds. pope surrounds himself with convicted felons. headlines after headlines with scandals too. lifelong buds with a convicted police officer murderer. still seen together recently, best buds. he had to removed his best bud from his social media page before people saw it. too late. lots of us saw it and see them together. pope only shows his mug around election time then he disappears until next election meanwhile for that time in between the ward suffers. Webb is the best shot we have for our ward. She is the police and so is her husband, mother and step father. She came from a busy working district and has been working at headquarters for the last couple years. so we are not suppose to respect one of chicagos finest because they work at headquarters? you just insulted the 200 plus people that work down here. so if an officer works inside behind the front desk or the lockup or in the commanders office or in the radio room, we are supposed to think less of them?

Do your homework. Nick has been one of the best Alderman for CPD. Go to a City Council meeting and you will see him hammering Rahm about police manpower and our pensions, which he will have. Sattler does not run the 100 Club...she is the COO...and she is best friends with the Cullertons, who are sponsoring her campaign.
