Quinn's Last F@#$ You to Illinois?

  • SCC,

Got word that Quinn's office is considering a pardon of Howard Morgan, who shot three cops in 2005 and was convicted of four counts attempted murder. Might do it on Monday, his last day.
Shit like this ought to be a millstone around the democrats statewide, but not in Illinois.

No surprise on this one. Liberal Democrats are the lowest scum on earth. They hate the military and above all hate the police. Quinn is nothing but a POS who will now cash in on his corrupt deeds while governor. Look at Richie Daley. Laughing all the way to the bank every day of the week.

This is why Quinn had to go. Too much pandering and no real leadership.

Even doing crap like this, he'll still get his $135,000+ a year pension.

"He earned it." -- Yeah, right.

Most of these pardons I don't mind, such as prostitution and PCS. One thing that should NEVER be pardoned is anything with blood on your hands.

A major part of the problem lies in the facts, or supposed facts, reported in the media. If you only read this article in the Huffington Post, its easy to see why people line up on the wrong side.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/03/howard-morgan-ex-cop-shot_n_1399834.html

Unfortunately, too many people only read crap like this, which is full of lies and fantasy. If the MSM were held to its reporting in the courts, many of societies troubles would disappear.

What is worse is a liberal Democrat masquerading and getting elected as a Republican and makes appointments just like Rahm Emanuel the vote panderer.

You are almost on Q, as I mentioned earlier... this is an intentional event. let crime get out of hand, crime was always there, and run for election on it. who destroyed the projects, and who got elected on cleaning up the problem that came from it. the Dems have never been about fixing things, more about prolonging or making things worse

Governor Quinn has been a disaster for Illinois. Although his predecessors are serving time, one can look back at there terms and see that they at least did some good for the state. Quinn's tenure as governor however, has been noticibly devoid of anything positive leading to state advancement. Illinois ought to be the greatest state in the union, but sadly has become a pariah.

Just got this from the ASA that prosecuted the case.

Unfortunately, now ex-governor Pat Quinn with ten minutes left in his term commuted the sentence of this dangerous person. He did not grant a pardon based on innocence, but this is still a slap in the face to every officer who ever answered a call. I cannot express in words how much this hurts me, my trial partner and the officers who put their lives on the line that morning and every day of their careers.

I once thought of Quinn as just a hapless bafoone. This last election proved to me, he is much worst. He is a mean spirited, sore loser, bafoone. He wants to stay in power, because he knows, like all democrats, whats best for you.
Let's hope he never gains political office again.

Give Quinn a break.

He has a claim-to-fame many former Illinois Governors can't claim.

He didn't go to prison.

Yet.

Rumor comes true:

Quinn commuted the 40-year sentence of Howard Morgan, who was convicted of shooting at four Chicago police officers during an early morning traffic stop in 2005 in the Lawndale neighborhood. Morgan, who was a Chicago police officer before becoming a railroad cop, claimed he was the victim of overzealous officers. But police said Morgan fired at them first, and testimony indicated he fired 17 times, while he was hit more than two dozen times.

Morgan’s trial attorney, Sam Adam Jr., has always maintained his client’s innocence but doubted he would ever receive clemency. His hopes dwindled even more in December after the slayings of two New York City police officers sparked protests and vigils across the country.

“Even I have to say that I’m shocked by the governor’s decision,” Adam said. “So many politicians wouldn’t have gone anywhere near it. But instead of worrying about his political future or legacy, he did what was right.”
---

Quinn lives near Oak Park I believe, the Bloomingdale neighborhood. How about a police parade in front of his house?

wow... quinn communted his sentence. Unfucking believable. its not a pardon which means the conviction stands, just let him out of prison... although he will have to abide by conditions.. kinda like parole but not as harsh, dont even think he has to check in or anything, just cant screw up. the only good news on this is that the conviction stands. Its good for the officers because he cant refile anytype of lawsuit against them because his original lawsuit was dismissed because of this same conviction.
