Bad Boy Makes Good....

  • A former gang member with a long arrest record who has been fired twice from state jobs over lewd emails and “inconsistencies” in his job applications has been reinstated to a six-figure post with the Illinois state prison system.

Xadrian R. McCraven, 45, was returned to his $111,432-a-year job as a senior policy adviser with the Illinois Department of Corrections on Dec. 22. That was after an independent arbitrator ruled that outgoing Gov. Pat Quinn’s administration wrongly fired him early last year.

The department — which will be under the control of Republican Gov.-elect Bruce Rauner after he is sworn in Monday to succeed Quinn — is appealing the arbitrator’s ruling, agency spokesman Tom Shaer said.
Hey, he delivered the yolo disciples vote, so that's all that mattered.

German newspaper attacked 'over cartoons'

11 Jan 2015 08:29

"A German newspaper in the northern port city of Hamburg that reprinted caricatures of Prophet Muhammad from the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo was the target of an arson attack, according to police.

"The regional tabloid daily, the Hamburger Morgenpost, was attacked on Sunday after it had splashed three Charlie Hebdo cartoons on its front page after the massacre at the Paris publication, running the headline "This much freedom must be possible!"

"Rocks and then a burning object were thrown through the window," a police spokesman told AFP news agency. "Two rooms on lower floors were damaged but the fire was put out quickly".

"No one was hurt in the attack, which police said occurred at about 01:20 GMT. Two people were detained, while state security has opened an investigation, police said.

"Hamburg police have detained two suspects of the attack."

Eliminate just this one useless position and 589 poor people could continue to get something to eat @ $189.00/month each.

Priorities...

Unbelievable --

"Xadrian R. McCraven has a criminal history that includes 'at least' 24 arrests on charges including arson, illegal gun possession, attempted robbery, drug possession and aggravated assault, according to federal court records..."

"McCraven, 44, who lives in Chicago, pleaded guilty to a weapons charge in 1989 and was found guilty of reckless conduct in 1998 in connection with a domestic-battery arrest...

"He was fired...from another state job, with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, but reached a settlement with the child-welfare agency earlier this year that rescinded his firing, awarded him back pay and called for him to be transferred from DCFS to an administrative job with the state prison system.

"He's now a senior policy adviser to the agency's chief of parole, doing audits "of the implementation of policy, facilities use and management and job performance..."

"Before working in state government, the 1992 graduate of Northeastern Illinois University wanted to be a police officer. He applied to become a Chicago cop in 1993 but was rejected because of his criminal history, records show...the police department background investigation found McCraven was known 'to be a drug dealer, gang member and supplier of guns to other gang members.'

"In 1987, McCraven was convicted of disorderly conduct, and he pleaded guilty in 1989 to illegal possession of a handgun . . . In 1994, McCraven began working as an officer for the Chicago Housing Authority Police Department. Then, in 1998, he was charged with domestic battery, accused of assaulting his former fiancee, and was found guilty of reckless conduct...

"McCraven was fired by the CHA in August 1999 for 'violating department general orders forbidding unjustified physical attacks on or off duty' and bringing discredit on the department...In 2000, McCraven went to work for DCFS as a child-protection worker."

Well you all elected Rauner with his BS talk and money from all the friends of Rahm---no one would listen that he and Rahm were the same. Now with the appointment of Meeks to the State Board of Education--that's the beginning. NOw the gutless FOP is doing the same to get Rahm elected by not endorsing Fioretti but endorsing Rahm ahole aldermen DAley and Pope. Fioretti is the only choice.

OT -- Sorry, but VERY important story here. Was just talking yesterday with someone who was insisting that "poor, unemployed, disadvantaged people" are more inclined towards crime and terrorism.

Study finds unexpected risk factors for violent radicalization --
Youth, wealth and academia appear to predispose individuals towards sympathizing with acts of terror

March 19, 2014 3:00PM ET

"Youth, wealth, and a full-time education are risk factors associated with violent radicalization, according to a British study released Wednesday that challenges commonly-held notions in the West of what makes an individual prone to sympathizing with terrorist acts.

"Perhaps surprisingly, religious practice, mental health, social inequality and political engagement were not significant factors.

"Researchers from Queen Mary University in London surveyed more than 600 men and women of South Asian Muslim heritage living in London and Bradford...

"While just 2.4 percent of people expressed some sympathy for violence overall, researchers found that those under the age 20, those in full-time education rather than employment, and those with annual incomes above $125,000 were more prone to express sympathy for violent protests and "terrorism."

“One explanation for homegrown terrorism in high-income countries is that it’s about inequality-related grievances," Bhui said in a phone interview. "We were surprised that [the] inequality paradigm seems not to be supported. The study essentially seemed to show that those born in the U.K. consistent with the radicalization paradigm are actually more affluent or well off.”

The same rich, idle college snots looking for a new trend, the same bunch who led the way in tearing up the US in the 60s.

These are the "foreign fighters" with no day job who go to the Middle East and then come back to their home countries to raise hell -- paving the way for the genuine hard-core ISIS/AQAP murderers "who will kill 500 million if we have to."

Reminds me of Jane Fonda in her NVA helmet, seated in the gunner's position of a quad 12.7 aimed up at American planes...

I've begun reading the Koran...wow. Awful lot in there about "killing the unbelievers." Big surprise...
