They also brought in a new podium to the roll call room which stands 3 feet tall so lil hitler can be seen when she tells us of her first felony arrest, no wait I meant first misdemeanor arrest. lol

After reading this blog and talking to officers from 011, it seems as though 011 is in dire need for leadership. And West definitely is not a leader. What ever happened to lead by example, and promote leaders that the troops will respect and follow? Apparently the city does not care and is telling us "just shut up and do your job which you are lucky to have". They just don't care about morale or having a quality police department. Reading the comments about the new commander in 011 made me chuckle. Not that an unqualified nincompoop is now at the top of the food chain in 011, but the wailing and gnashing of teeth by and for the officers there. IT DOESN'T MATTER! Certainly hope so, there's a lot of damage to undo. When Pena got there things were good with good bosses who made for good watches and good camaraderie. She brought in Captain Cynthia White and micromanaged everything good into the ground as the old bosses retired or left.

What The Fuck was the deal with 1070 Friday afternoon? One of his cars was involved in a crash, while trying to assist State Troopers and 011, during a vehicle persuit.
This idiot comes on the air, screaming at some PO, as though he was having a nervous breakdown. I mean SCREAMING at the top of his fucking lungs. I know the Troopers had to be like WTF! Back, when I came on, Sgt or no, he'd have gotten his ass kicked for screaming at another man (PO) like that.

Speaking of which we have to learn how to duck or exit the kill zone.
If someone wanted to murder cops why do it when they are on duty, heavily armed, with body armor and radios.
They could do it while we drive to work. I said this at Roll Call many times. First leave early and don't be in a hurry. When approaching a red light glide to it and don't pull right up to the stop line. If behind a car leave a car length to allow an escape.
Keep a lookout around you and when the light changes wait a beat for some goof who might run that light.
Have your cell phone handy with the station numbers on speed-dial that will probably get you emergency help faster that 9-1-1. Never leave your gun loose like on the car seat.
If approached by someone at a red light and you think they are a threat IF YOU CAN SAFELY DO IT run the light. If a Rahm Camera flashes it gets a photo of the assailant too. Just call it in and get and event number, if a weapon is seen an RD number.
Know where to run to on your route if you have to flee your car, places like hospitals, fire houses, all night gas stations and stores.

You gotta set up a Google calendar with DOG events (ex. 61/62) set to repeat every 6 days. Set up an event every day for 6 straight days, each being named a different DOG. Set ur iPhone to sync with the Google calendar, n you can check DOGs as far into the future you want.

OT - I was just watching Judge Jeanine on Fox News. The topic was the recent terrorist attacks in France. One guest stated that there are actually "no-go" zones inside Paris, as well as in Germany, Switzerland and England.

Here's one way to put in your rdo's on your iPhone (works only for current ios that lets you repeat events):
Say you're off Mon and Tues, go into calendar and create an all day event and call it "RDO" for Mon. Repeat event every 6 days, end the repeat whenever, dec 31 if you want. Do the same for that Tues, and now a dot will appear in your calendar on each of your rdos. Works for me, and I can schedule stuff, dr appts., etc., and know what days I'm off without having to open a separate app or a pdf file.

If there is one person who can, West will surely qualify. 015th district was destroyed by her, officers bid out just as fast or even faster as they did when the Austin 7 scandle hit. The bad guys had just existed 290 at Independence, and were fleeing southbound. They were 3 blocks from the 010, 011 border. I would think any 010 copper who was listening, would've started towards the border...like the screamed at coppers did. General orders be damned, if I hear coppers calling out a chase, as 011 and the Troopers were, and I'm anywhere near, I'm heading their way. Then, again, I'm trained in the old school ways. I understand...

Don't lose sleep over a spot you didn't get. Go to bed every night and tell yourself you will one day be good enough to be picked for a spot. For now it is not your time, keep working on your anger issues and learn to let go of your failures. Hatred can lead to heart disease or even a stroke. Take up a yoga class or some type of martial arts so you can release your hatred. Be a positive person and learn to let go. Hopefully in 3 years when you get to your 5th year, your hard work and positive attitude will open doors for you to be part of something great.
