Rahm Campaigns

And he doesn't seem to have much:
  • Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Wednesday laid out a second-term economic plan he said would focus on the city's struggling neighborhoods as he fights critics who say his policies so far have mainly benefited wealthier Chicagoans.

Emanuel went to the Far South Side for a campaign speech light on new proposals and heavy on what he says were his first-term economic successes in which he said areas of the city outside downtown already are seeing a better jobs outlook on his watch.

Six weeks before he stands for re-election, the mayor is working to win back African-American voters who gave him strong support in his first election but who have grown disenchanted with him since, according to Chicago Tribune polling. The Emanuel campaign event at Method, a new manufacturing company in a predominantly black neighborhood, highlighted what he called "a comeback story for Pullman."
Rahm closed fifty schools in predominantly minority communities. Chicago's job picture is a disgrace. Companies and homeowners of all stripes leaving at the highest rate in years. Certain communities look like war zones due to inadequate street repairs and collapsing infrastructure, not to mention the gunfire and stacks of wounded. Plus the daily pocket-picking via red light and speed cameras, the speed cameras that ticket during hours of darkness, weekends and summer in violation of state law. And not a single mention of the required pension balloon payment that is supposed to eat up something like a quarter of the operating budget.

And he's still in the race...in the margin of error for a runoff, winning by other accounts. Wake up Chicago.

I see zero improvement of quality of life in the black communities of the west and south sides. I also see a
$40 milion park built downtown. I see rahm taking south side parkland for a library that will not be hiring neighborhood residents. Most of all I see violence still out of control in da hood, while rahm has a squad of officers investigating a stolen iphone from his kid.

Yea, vote for rahm...so he can put the final nail in the chicago coffin.

Pullman? Is that anywhere near Rose Hill?

Yesterday, on the North side, Rahm congratulated himself on the new nature park that is being planned for "Roseland" on Western Avenue.

He was only off by twenty or thirty miles. Roseland borders Pullman while the new park was next to Rose Hill Cemetery by Peterson Avenue.

Outside of the Loop and the Airport, this mayor doesn't know his city. He is still a suburbanite who enjoys slumming.

Think real hard - does this guy REALLY deserve a second term???

Let him free. He showed enough to determine he is NOT mayoral material - and he certainly isn't material for a higher office.

And if you don't vote - shame on you. You are a BIG part of the problem and should not whine about anything - your job, your money, your future, your pension.

Vote him in and you are rewarding incompetence - but then, that's pretty much what happens in this city and this state.

BREAK THE CYCLE

When in doubt, vote the incumbent out.

SCC, very sad to hear you say wake up Chicago. Who are you going to vote for???? Rahm is a disgrace, yes he is. That being said he is the least far left candidate running for Mayor. Fioretti and Garica make Rahm look like Reagan. Should we vote for Wilson? He has already said he would take away 75% of CPD's fleet of vehicles. He says we should be cold like regular Chicagoans. The savings he gets from using less gas would go to poor communities. Give me a break!!

The truth is Chicago is screwed!!!!!! Until a candidate comes along who is a true capitalist and not a crony inside trading dictator nothing will change. That will never happen. The majority of minoirites and union employees are too stupid to vote for what is needed.

SCC, you talking in platitudes is nice but has nothing to do with reality. The truth is Rahm is the best candidate out of gaggle of losers running for office

He closed 54+ schools, but now is buying property and building charter schools which is the "family and friends" plan! He found billions for his "family and friends" programs like daley, such as bike trails that disrupt traffic (that are rarely used), depaul stadium (pathetic university with a pathetic team),maggie daley park (honor for what?millions over budget), wants a obama library on taxpayers park district land (Other presidenst paid for their librays through donations of coperatre partners but taxpapyers will be on the hook for this nonsense), running trails along railroad tracks (really safe areas lol), the river-walk etc!!

But where is the money due to cover the police pension shortfall? He has enough in his (personal piggy bank) TIF money to plug that hole immediately but its an election year so he uses "our money" as he sees fit for his own purposes! He will cry on tv that he cant fund the pensions because "its for the children" and he is feeding, clothing, housing, link cards for millions of illegals that he does want to offend enough money for this wasted taxpayers money but none for pensions. Watched the news last night rahm out in front opening new plant here, that's a good thing, but did you notice any white of Hispanic workers in the background? Guess rahm thinks the white and Hispanics (that are legally here) will just vote for him as he takes us for granted!

BETTER JOBS MY ASS!!

1. Oh yeah. Look at the BLS non-farm payroll stats. ( if you believe their numbers) Illinois created about 32,000 jobs from Nov. 2013 to Nov 2014

http://www.bls.gov/eag/eag.il.htm

However!

Now look at the Illinois individual income tax revenue.

Individual income tax rev's dropped by about $32 million dollars for the month of Nov 2013 compared to 2014.

http://tax.illinois.gov/aboutidor/taxresearch/NovemberFY2015MonthlyResearchReport.pdf

Maybe they should stop creating these so-called good jobs as we're going bust eh?

2. Food Stamp caseloads for Illinois are up .8% vs last year over 2 million people

http://www.fns.usda.gov/sites/default/files/pd/29SNAPcurrPP.pdf

3. Any jobs that the sanctuary city had to offer the black community are now going to the undocumented illegal immigrants.

No talk about the pension reform either huh? That seems to be one of the largest issues as Madigan pushes for the right to steal the money because "it's an emergency"

How about if people start to break the law and rob banks because "it's an emergency"??

If the emergency (A.K.A the crisis) isn't big enough to take advantage of because it doesn't sway the will, the hearts, the minds of the people just make it bigger that's all you got to do. Borrow more money and spend it sending the bill to the taxpayers and the pension fund trustees.

If we get the Obama library tho it's gonna fix EVERYTHING!

Just read the Chicago lapdog media and you'll see.

Why there's an economic turnaround!

With oil prices falling over 60% it's estimated an individual will have an additional $750 to spend on shit!

Except if you ride the CTA THERE IS ZERO ADDITIONAL TO SPEND as the windfall profits are pocketed by the politically six-figure/year clouted ones. NOT ONE FUCKING PENNY IN FARE REDUCTIONS

GTFO Rahm election time cannot come soon enough.

Rahms campaign commercial the Star Scholarship is financed by taxpayers.
Mayor Rahm Emmanuel announces the Star Scholarship Program.
Starting with the Fall 2015 semester, Chicago Public High School graduates with a 3.0 GPA who test college-ready in math and English will be able to pursue an associate degree at City Colleges of Chicago at no cost – free tuition, fees and books. City Colleges will provide this free college opportunity for Chicago Public High School students who graduate in Spring 2015 or later and who meet three requirements:
1.Graduates from a CPS high school with a 3.0 or higher GPA
2.Places into college-level Math and English via COMPASS or the ACT (score of 21 in math and English)
3.Enrolls in one of CCC’s structured, relevant pathways This includes undocumented students and students.
So let me get this straight. You announce a program that is nothing more than a taxpayer financed scholarship program that just portrays you as the caring mayor and is used as a purely political tool for your re-election with the tax payers footing the bill. The same taxpayers that work for a living, pay property taxes of which approximately 50% goes to the Board of Education, but you then discriminate against those taxpayers paying the bill by only allowing Chicago Public School Students, Chicago Charter school students and undocumented students access to this program. Or to put it another way, families who have paid 50% of their property tax bills to the board of education for the past 12 years and have not gotten any benefit for this portion of their tax bill, because they sent their children to private schools are not eligible but every other child is. This is Marxist discrimination by a Mayor intent on continuing the class divide in our city. As you increase your class of voters by showering them with everything free all our class is left with is standing outside looking in at something we paid for but cannot have. How is that legal? Only in Marxist America. How much longer are we going to stand by and have this shit shoved down our throats?

Saw Willie Wilson's TV ad. He doesn't seem bad. If if was him or Rahm, I would pick him.

Re-electing incompetence should NOT be an option this election.

I heard an ad, but didn't see who it was. What I heard was a candidate advocating for THREE police superintendents, instead of one, so they'd be responsible for different parts of the city. First thought was, yeah, spend even MORE money on useless figureheads and drain the pension even MORE.
Since I know that wasn't Bob Fioretti's voice I heard, I don't care all that much, but was that Wilson?
