- Fans took to the streets after Ohio State's football championship victory early Tuesday, yelling and screaming in delight, setting nearly 90 fires and in the case of a few, tearing down an Ohio Stadium goal post. A few injuries were reported.
Police made a handful of arrests after using tear gas and pepper spray to disperse crowds of Ohio State students and other fans following the Buckeyes' win.
What's the in-state and out-of-state tuition costs for OSU? And they learn to set fires and destroy property. Morons. No cops hurt at least.
We certainly hope the Departments attempt to recover the costs of putting out 89 fires and controlling drunk children from OSU, and OSU can turn around and tack the money on student fees for these idiots.

at least they weren't burning down taxpaying businesses and hurling bricks, bullets, and epithets at officers like some people (or folks) that have been in the news recently.

Hmmmm, strange when teams actually get to play for a championship and arent picked by a bunch of guys and a super computer. Yes, The big ten is who we thought they were. If the Playoff was expanded to more teams I guarantee you there would have been two big ten teams in the championship depending on how the bracket matched up but it would have been Michigan State and Ohio State. I have no beef with oregon but the SEC fanatics are out of control thinking they rule all.. Well, that reign has come to an end.. Welcome to real football. (A) The conviction of a student, faculty or staff member, or employee of a college or university which receives any state funds in support thereof, of any offense covered by division (D) of this section, automatically effects the student's, faculty or staff member's, or employee's dismissal from such college or university.
Arson is a "trigger" offense that implements the law.

Columbus is the largest city in O-H-I-O. Unlike Chicago, Cleveland and Cincinnati, we have but one professional sports (hockey Blue Jackets) team.

Tear gas was used against the students...and although a great majority of the offending students was of European descent there were a couple of African American students...and due to this latter fact, Eric Holder is on his way to Columbus to investigate the police tactics used to keep the peace! How dare the police try to maintain peace and order when African Americans are involved in the chaos! Don't they know they are allowed to do any damn thing they please!?!?
