Copper Injured

  • A Downtown crash on Lower Wacker Drive left three people hospitalized Thursday night, including a Chicago Police officer.

    About 9 p.m., a police SUV and another vehicle collided on Wacker near Garvey Court, police said.

    The police officer and two people from the other vehicle were taken to hospitals with “minor” injuries, police said.
The picture from the Sun Times:

Looks like the SUV hit that concrete pillar dead center. Best wishes for a speedy recovery

Lower Wacker is absolutely insane to drive on...

Signage sucks. No GPS to help.

Piss bums walking along the edge where there's essentially no shoulder - daring you to hit them...

Hate it...

To SCC and my fellow Officers on the CPD;

I’ll be OK. A little beat up & banged up, but I’ll heal in no time! It’s nothing that a few shots of good bourbon won’t help. THANKS it all the CPD & CFD on scene as well as the staff at Northwestern ER.

I understand all of the Thoughts, Well Wishes and Prayers. Like I said; I’ll heal in no time! Instead, Could you all send them to the Officers in 001 and to my old partner in 009 that are fighting Cancer. They sure can use them a hell of a lot more than I! Not that it goes unappreciated, but there’s a few of our co-workers that can use them way more than me!

Congrats to (soon to be) Det. C.$., and the rest that are on that list!

Don't know if you officers are aware of this but the computer box in these police vehicles can tell exactly how fast the car was travelling and the at the point of impact, it can also tell if you were wearing a seatbelt, so be very careful when your SGT. is completing the Damage to Vehicle report!!!!!! Lying will get you jammed up, just a little word to you all. Stay Safe and be Careful

Best to you Officer,but I can't help myself.
Piss poor attempt at a recreation of the "Blues Brothers" chase scene. Rent the video while you re-coup and laugh.
It's the best medicine.Along with all this ball busting.
