Hey Maria? What the Hell?
- A 16-year-old boy was found shot to death in a Hermosa neighborhood alley late Tuesday in the Grand Central police district's third gunshot wound homicide in three nights.
He was found with multiple gunshot wounds about 10:10 p.m. in the alley on the 1600 block of North Keeler Avenue, police said.
Officers covered him in a blue sheet and taped off the icy alley. The department's crime lab investigators arrived about 11:30 p.m.
Three homicides in three nights? Might be a slight change of strategy needed. Maybe someone needs more Contact Cards!

Funny how these murders keep happening at a time when the entire 1st watch is sitting in the station claiming that they have no cars or radios and can't hit the street.

One at Grand/McVicker the other night, 18 y/o M/4 killed, was a Facebook-posting dispute that it was decided would be settled out on the street. I guess it was.

Until Pena came to 025, tact teams NEVER came in with traffic arrests. Now, Pena is demanding movers, and over 1/2 the tact arrests are for traffic. TRAFFIC! Gotta have those movers for Compstat, Eh?

Don't blame first watch pal. How many homicides happened on 1st watch? Oh let me answer- ZERO. The officers on 1st watch work their tail off. Compare the numbers of 1st watch against the other two watches. The numbers speak for themselves.
Maria tells the beat cars to increase their contact cards. To do this, the watch officers write contact cards instead of traffic tickets on drivers and give them a break. To keep the traffic ticket numbers up, she tells the tact team to write movers. While the beat cars are writing contact cards and the tact team are writing movers, nobody does any pro-active police work. This keeps the crime stats down because the police are no longer creating crime by making on-view arrests for crimes that would otherwise go unreported such as DOPW, possession, UUW etc. This is a statistical win-win for Maria. It's a loser for the citizens and the CPD who have to suffer because of her lying shell game.
Cancel all days off in 025 until they can gain control of their crime problems.

This post is about Pena asking all three watches for more contact cards on their beat. All we are hearing in roll calls is contact cards numbers are down, and they must be done on your beat.

It's not a citywide posting, the openings are for the district personnel only
they need seiser to return to the 025 he will know how to run it.

Pena walked in the 010th district TAC Office on her last day. I'm sure she was expecting an emotional send off, what she got instead was the opposite. No hugs and some good riddance you're not in charge of us anymore handshakes. She burnt out the TAC team and it got to the point that no one wanted to join. Now we have a smooth new commander and feel bad for 025th district. Hang in there guys and weather the storm. 010 knows what you're going your through and our hearts go out to you guys.

Maybe the rapid mission cars need to make sure they stay on there mission areas and prevention could of happen and certain officers with initials RL ,KC ,RW and CW. get away with leaving at anytime they want, usually before the midnight cars come in for check off.
Well, Lil Barb has been in Command of 011 for just a few weeks and she and captain Lemon head are now attacking the 2nd watch.
Today a Veteran PO was told he is no longer on a certain car because he did not bring in enough contact cards for the period. His punishment for not meeting the Monthly QUOTA FOR CONTACT CARDS was a new start time and assignment.
I was unaware that there was a minimum quota for monthly contact cards?
Next time I see captain Lemon head I am going to ask him, " Captain, what is the required number of contact cards that you require form me each month"?
And Barb you of all people should know that requiring Officers to violate someone's constitutional rights for a simple contact card for you monthly comstat meeting is against the law.
To all my fellow officers in 011, just do the minimum to get vri and no more. If no one does any more than 5 per month then what will Barb and Lemonhead do?

Then why isn't the Midnight Watch Commander (I still use that term because it's for a REAL Boss) tell the Afternoon Watch Commander to have his people be certain to leave those keys in the Radio Room. If they do not they will get a phone call to make the drive back (uncompensated) to the station to bring the keys back. If they do not answer their phone or bring the keys back they will get a knock on their door in the middle of the night. (Their listed address better be current.) If they do not answer the door they will leaving paper. Then hey will ensure that the Day Watch Commander has spare sets for all cars made and secured in the Watch Commander's Office.
That's what a WATCH COMMANDER does not a limp wristed District Station Supervisor.

speaking of taking keys home...
(3rd watch) One night we had to down our car, there were few more cars but no keys in radio room so I grabbed spare keys. When we returned the keys LT. from midnights asked where I found spare key and told me that one of his sgt. had the original key so he could have it for the night...
