Go Vote Damnit

  • If early voting — or the lack of it — is any bellwether, Chicago could be headed for a record-low turnout in Tuesday’s election.

With four days of early voting to go, 44,860 Chicagoans had taken advantage of the opportunity to cast their ballots, 7,259 of them on Tuesday. That’s compared to a final total of 73,268 early votes cast four years ago.

The biggest total was the 2,205 early votes recorded in the 19th Ward, home to scores of police officers, firefighters and teachers who are not enamored with Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

A close second was the 2,092 early votes in the 41st Ward, where homeowners have accused Emanuel of turning a deaf ear to their skyrocketing complaints about O’Hare jet noise.
Well, that's a good thing. Now maybe a subzero election day might give these predominantly anti-Rahm enclaves a disparate impact on actual totals.

Is there same day registration for local elections? After all, they do it for illegals when the White House is on the line.

I have a suspicion that Early Votes aren't counted (like Absentee Ballots) unless there's a need to, such as a runoff likelihood or the incumbent is losing. Then the boxes you thought contained those "early cast votes" are brought in (stowed at some obscure location) to be counted...oh yeah, that's legit.
There no way to trust or officiate Chicago voting practices. I like the idea of the red thumb dye used in the Middle East. One day election no time to run to the next polling place.

It NEEDS to be news, so the truth about the cause/source of the liens can be determined.

The law does not allow for back real estate taxes to be bought - and ultimately for tax liens to be placed on City property. So, the question is WHAT are the liens for? Unpaid contractor's bills? Personal injury damages?
What?

Later when she received many complaints she has a joint position which Laureno. Nothing heard about those efforts and she talks out the side of her mouth at community meetings about avoiding this issue. She at first wasn't going to do anything. This fall called her office the street lights for the entire block were out. They were finally turned back on in 10 days. GREAT WORK MARY! Look Troll/Rahm Lackey: No matter what you do, bury gold in your back yard, stash it under your mattress those Demo-Communists want it so they can create a humungous lower class that they can rule over. American society used to be diamond shaped with the richest of the rich on the top point and the poor of the poor ant the bottom point. The productive middle class was the widest portion at the middle.

Since the LBJ Great Society Programs the widest portion has been sliding down but the productive people have gotten narrower and narrower.

The SUPER INFLATION MAY TAKE IT.

The OBAMACARE 5-6 FIGURE PREMIUMS and DECUCTIBLES WILL TAKE IT. Remember when BHO said that he was only going to tax the richest of the rich and "If you like your plan you can keep your plan."

He is depending on people known as "USEFUL IDIOTS". They vote Democrat no matter what.

I vote on Election Day. My pick for a protest vote is Wilson. Choose your favorite, but forcing Rahm into a runoff may help in some way.

We need to have Rahm defeated on the first battle. If it goes t a runoff who ever is left will have no money to run their campaign while Rahm call his brother Ari or BHO for Round 2. Best bet is vote for Fioretti and be done with it.

I also wouldn't put it past Rahm to pull incredibly last ditch dirty tricks. Remember what BHO did to his Republican opponent in his senate race. It made no difference that his divorce records were sealed by the court. Berry's people leaked them and made them front page news while we still can't see any of his past records.

Vote Fioretti and be done with it.

Agreed but the dirty tricks already started. Just got some crap in my mailbox about Fioretti from Rahm's camp. Total garbage.
