Denver Vandalism
The police were, get this, ordered to stand down in the face of criminal acts:
- Two people were arrested Saturday afternoon while police monitored a group that had been staging protests throughout Denver.
During the protest a memorial dedicated to fallen police officers was vandalized, which has led to a controversy involving police administrators and the head of the police union, who is calling for Denver Police Chief Robert White to resign.
Approximately 100 to 200 people marched down Colfax Avenue from Lincoln Park to the Denver Police Department headquarters located at 1331 Cherokee Street. Some marched in support of Jessie Hernandez, a 17-year-old who was killed when she was shot by police during a criminal incident in January.
This was a protest for the "angel" who, while awaiting another court date for various offenses, attempted to kill some of Denver's police officers in a stolen car that was being used as a "rite of passage" mobile for the Hispanic community there. Now the police union is calling for the resignation of the Chief who gave the orders to acquiesce to criminal damage to property.
Civil disobedience is one thing. This was another.

We must be very sensitive to the feelings of minorities. The alleged crime was more high spirited mischief rather than actual criminal. It was something not worth creating racial hard feelings and resentment over. Enough animosity had been created by the senseless killing of the "Angel".

The Colorado State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police (CO FOP), the nations largest police organization has jumped into the controversy in Denver.
Calls for the resignation of Denver Police Chief have been growing after he ordered police to stand down while protesters vandalized a memorial to slain Denver cops.
Now the FOP has chimed in and has expanded their criticism to Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, and Director of Public Safety Stephanie O'Malley.

This Chief and Supervisors all should be fired. It would never happen here. Can you see a group damaging the Memorial here, and some boss says it's Ok, let them do it...the blue shirts and hopefully some Supervisor's would disregard the UNLAWFUL order (crime be committed, let them do it)and take some action. Of course I'm an old timer who still thinks that way.
Suppose it was the side of a building instead of the memorial that had been vandalized/spray painted? Something without an emotional attachment. Would that change opinions about the chief's actions?

I'm Hispanic and love the fact that I am of Mexican decent. I embrace my culture and will try to pass that love to my kids. Having said that I love America and all it stands for. I an proud to be an American and count every blessing above for it. My parents were immigrants and to this day struggle with speaking it. No matter what they know that they came to this country for a better place for their kids to grow up in. I am a police officer and proud of it. I would unload my whole clip on anyone who is trying to kill me or my partners regardless of color sex or creed. I hate this whole race issue bs. Its not right to steal or kill again no matter what color you are. Sorry for my rant and bad grammar. I wanted to make point that don't look at all Hispanics as if bad and is if they are raising their own kids this way

He is a disgrace to the uniform those officers made the supreme sacrifice and we owe it to them to honor our badges. Who could work for a boss like that.
Find out who was invovled in the desecration of the police memorial. Get their license plate numbers out of the system in a way that does not leave your "fingerprints" on the query.
When their cars are parked, drive by with a can of spray paint.
