Nice Stop

  • A man was arrested in Englewood Friday after police found him in possession of 23 pounds of cannabis during a traffic stop.

Police stopped Alexander Brown, 39, at a traffic stop at approximately 7:45 p.m. Friday and arrested him. Brown is charged with one felony count of cannabis possession and one traffic citation.

Englewood District officers stopped Brown in the 1000 block of West Marquette Road after observing a minor traffic violation. Officers found a large clear plastic bag containing cannabis coming out of a black book bag in the rear seat.

Brown was immediately taken into custody. Police also found another bag containing cannabis, resulting in more than 23 pounds recovered at an estimated street value of $64,000.
Sure, the Vice unit gets a ton or more occasionally, but it still feels good to get a something that won't fit into the dope safe in the District sometimes. Nice pinch Officers.

Why lock them up? The politicians all got themselves marijuana licenses to sell it legally now. Did you know that there are some prominent political names connected to the pot business now?

Twenty three pounds of marijuana? This amount of “medicine” could have been put to good use for the ailing with the right prescription. Think of the profits that could have gone to one of those connected, exclusively licensed medicinal marijuana entrepreneurs. Even worse, think about the much needed tax revenues which could have been used to fund education, to provide much needed sustenance for the poor and provide funding for those much needed after school anti-violence programs including the after school nutritional assistance handouts.

The function of government is to generate revenue by any means necessary. This offender should be charged with revenue treason and assorted capital offenses. Thank God for this offender this is not Colorado. Colorado would have charged him with tax evasion and failure to procure tax stamps for possession of beneficial pharmaceutical products and like substances, both felonies punishable by a stiff prison sentence.

23 lb's of Cannabis sounds like a smallish re-stocking order from local LEGAL medical cannabis store.

Sounds like Tiny Dancer ought to put the "delivery man" up for some kind of Mayoral or "Peoples" type Award/Recognition for his valiant, unflagging efforts to bring medical RELIEF to thousands of Chicongoans whose great suffering can only be relieved by inhaling copious amounts of Cannabis.

BTW - Chicongo, why are these impoverished medical sufferers being brutally forced to pay for the weed they smoke??? Shouldn't the good folks of Chicongo being paying an extra 1/2 % or 1% sales tax so their fellow Chicongoans who suffer can smoke their medically necessary Weed for Free?

Oh, the inhumanity of it all !!!

10 THOUSAND people each day apply for Social Security benefits.
A Ford Dealer's Report

The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.
This is exactly why Mitt Romney said that 47% of the people are too dependent on the government. They have learned to work the system.

A Ford Dealer's Report From Tom Selkis' (Latham Ford) Facebook - True story at the dealership.

"I'll try to make this as short and to the point as I can. One of my salesmen here had a woman in his office yesterday wanting to lease a brand new Focus. As he was reviewing her credit application with her he noticed she was on social security disability.

He said to her you don't look like you're disabled and unable to work. She said well I'm really not. I could work if I wanted to, but I make more now than I did when I was working and got hurt (non-disabling injury).

She said the gov't sends her $1500.00 a month in 1 check. And she gets $500.00 a month on an EBT card (food stamps), and $800.00a month for rent.

Oh yeah, and 250 minutes free on her phone. That is just south of $2800.00 a month. When she was working, she was taking home about $330.00 per week. Do the math and then ask yourself why should she go back to work.

If you multiply that by millions of people, you start to realize the scope of the problem we face as a country. Once the socialists have 51% of the population in that same scenario, we are finished.

The question is when do we cross that threshold if we haven't already, and there are not enough people working to pay enough taxes to support the non-working people?

Riots?? Be prepared to protect your homes.

She didn't lease the Focus here because the dealer down the road beat our deal by $10.00/month. Glad to know she is so frugal with her hard earned money."

Easy there big time cowboy. Now we all know that you run the city and prevent all sorts of weight from distribution. ...we know the cartels are shaking in their boots and are having some serious doubts about pushing their product under your ever watchful and knowing eye....but we still don't want them to know we know they know. Save the quasi hero stories for a drunk at the bar.
