- Earlier this month we were made aware that the FBI was conducting an investigation into past police involved shootings. The investigation came to light after reports that FBI agents were approaching Officers at their homes unannounced. The Officers properly declined to answer any questions without an attorney present, and contacted the Lodge immediately.
- The FBI is investigating a police shooting of two teenage boys during a 2013 stop of a car on the South Side, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned.
The teens were wounded on Dec. 22 near 95th and La Salle after Chicago Police officers curbed a stolen car packed with joyriders, the department said in a statement after the incident.
The FBI is not your friend. Ever. Especially in the current political climate. They are tools...well, they're always tools, but they are tools of a political administration that hates you, your uniform, your very existence. Do not, under any circumstances, short circuit your Rights as guaranteed under the Contract, the Rule of Law, and the Constitution.

During riots (uprising) in Baltimore small planes were seen constantly flying over the city. It was later revealed that they were not planes but drones (UAV's). They were designed to confuse identification when looked at from an unusual perspective. Guess who owned the them? If you said the Justice Department then apply now for your Junior G Man badge. Do you think the Justice Department is flying drones over a riot to identify rioters? I don't think so. The G may never have been your friend, but they are now your enemy; willingly pimped out by an administration whose days are numbered and must push hard for its agenda as time expires.

I have posted this before and sent it to my friends. It is a video of advice from a civil rights attorney that basically says NEVER TALK TO A FED, ANY KIND OF FED. Even casually and even from the Department of Agriculture without your attorney.
You could be totally innocent.
They could ask you Questions A., B., C., and D., and you can give truthful answers. But you didn't tell them about "E." which they didn't ask about. The Feds records will be twisted to reflect to show you withheld information. If you answered without your attorney to back you up you are screwed.

Worked with the FBI and other government agencies during my police career. Never ever talk to the FBI. Anything you say can be turned around and used against you. They are working for Obama and need to trick bag a copper to justify their existence. The bullshit charge they use is lying to the FBI. A very good friend who was working in narcotics talked to the FBI and it was disastrous. During an investigation by the fed's, he refused to tell who his informant was to an FBI agent. A few months later he was indicted for conspiracy to obstruct a federal investigation. He beat the rap, but it cost him big bucks to prevail.
Do not even say "I don't know what you are talking about" because they will turn that into a charge of lying to a federal agent. Just tell them you refuse to answer questions without counsel. Period!!!
They won't investigate Hillary and her bogus foundation or the uranium deal to the russians. But make a split second decision for your life and it will be scrutinized for months.
FBI always preempts a conversation with the " Its a federal crime to lie or withhold information to a federal agent," before asking questions, and it doesn't have to be in a business like setting. Park, restaurant, garage... I was educated early on in my career. Consider this and all the other bits of advice about the FBI, very invaluable. Heres my Lawyer's number!!!

Awhile back I was approached by DEA. They were following some guy in the area with a sizable amount of dope. Of course they wanted me to traffic stop him and "find enough PC to get into his trunk". I politely told him to call for a Supervisor at the Station and left. Screw that!

They are all over that police shooting in 009 on Garfield Blvd that almost started a riot years ago. Cars from all districts called in. Feds asking questions all over.

So the city can set up special service areas (SSA's) which are taxing bodies which then spend the money on private security patrols in the ghettos but citizens can not pay police officers to do the same thing of duty? I think the po's working this have way more knowledge then 9.50 security guards in the ssa zones.
Also, what's with the statement from the Sgt "we don't want to have the citizens to have a false sense of security". That's pretty sad.
I live in a smallish Texas town. We actually like our police force and sheriffs dept. They are good guys who care about their community/county and are our friends and neighbors.
Again after the lowly non-clouted blue shirts! They could go to city hall and have a field day! But no they are not allowed, thought the new U.S. Attorneys office was going to go after gangs and the political thieves but as usual the beat up police officers! How much more do coppers need to be told anti-police bias is running wild! Just watched world Fox News (the only station with educated beautiful smart woman) that talks about how police moral is low throughout the country! Why would you jeopardize you're future on thugs?

Found this on another thread I remember this guy kind of crazy but excited when he found that huge catch of taxpayers paid CPS stuff in warehouses I believe he also found vehicles covered in dust bought and paid for! Maybe the fbi should look into this!
When and if they ask you a question, ask for a lawyer and then ask them why they shut the Blago wiretap before ???? could make that call.

Per the wonderful FBI, in 2012, the last year statistics were compiled, 323 white men got shot by Police...154 black men...gee, where's the outrage !!!!
It almost seems like the Racial Grievance crowd (which so heavily populates the Obama Administration) *wants* to push the all-cops-are-racist meme, doesn't it?
Is anybody, anywhere, going to suggest that while we citizens all have "civil rights", we ALSO all have "civil responsibilities"?

I am a retired CPD Police Officer who was a Detective for 10 years. After I retired, I obtained a private detective license and worked for several prominent defense attorneys who specialized in Defending Police Officers both criminally and civilly. The following advise is for anyone on the job today. This is from my experiences working for defense attorney's representing PO's. RULE #1 Do Not talk with the FBI under any circumstances without an attorney present. RULE #2. If the FBI comes to your home DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ALLOW THEM IN YOUR HOME. RULE #3 Instruct you family members not to talk with the FBI that includes your children. RULE #4 If by any chance you do converse with an FBI Agent ask him/her this question: Am I the object and/or subject of the incident you are making an inquiry about? If the agent says Yes, THEN TELL THE AGENT THAT YOU WANT AN ATTORNEY PRESENT WHEN THIS CONVERSATION CONTINNES.(You should again never answer any questions to begin with) If the agent says no, then ask the following question: Could I be the object/subject of this investigation further in the investigative process, If the agent answers, You could be or I can't tell you at this particular time, then stop this inquiry and AGAIN, TELL THE AGENT YOU WANT TO AN ATTORNEY PRESENT WHEN THE INTERVIEW CONTINUES. RULE #5 If the agent says no to rule #4 request the agent put it in writing before speaking again with the agent with your attorney present. #6 DO NOT SEND YOUR PARTNER A EMAIL OR TEXT MESSAGE. I have learned the following from Police Officers who have spoken with the FBI without an attorney presence: In several incidents the FBI wanted to speak with a PO regarding an incident. The PO's thought that it was a friendly conversation and spoke with the Agents. The facts that were learned in the friendly conversation were used in Grand Jury questioning of the Officers. I can name two instances where a PO let the Agent come into his/her home and after several friendly questions brought up to the Officer if his wife was aware he was having an affair. The agent made this comment in front of the both Officers wife's. I had one PO tell me that FBI Agents spoke with one or more of his children regarding the Officer home life and spending habits. After the agent leaves do not text or instant message you partner. Text and Instant messages can be subpoenaed (why do you think Hillary destroyed her server) If a agent tells you that he has a deal for you but that you have to make a statement now or the deal goes away, again tell the agent you want an attorney. This is a common practice with the FBI. They want you to talk because somewhere in their case there is a hole. Deals can be made at any time. Remember, they are not your friend.

The real lesson to be learned is work in patrol and answer your calls for service. In my district a p.o. in tact is going to get in trouble. Because he is being "creative" with getting his search warrants. It is surprising to me in today's climate why anyone would want to do stupid shit like that.
True that, this just happened in our hood. A case from 2010 that the main 'complaint' was the cop (who had been punched by the bad guy) unloaded on the guy in the lockup on camera when the bad guy threatened the cop. Not defending the cop, he has other issues going on, but I think even the citizens are figuring this stuff out to judge by the first couple of comments below the story.

Just my perspective and personal opinion. Do not talk to them with or without an attorney. It doesn't matter if you are an accused or a witness, you cannot be compelled to speak. Simply tell them you will not talk to them or be interviewed by them and then remain mute. Most people want to talk because they are innocent, they want to be believed and they want to explain their side of a story. Or, they are guilty and think they can spin their side of the story to try and make everyone believe whatever it is that they want them to believe. The simple solution is not to speak. You do not have to tell them anything. Whether an accused or a witness, you are not obligated to talk to them. NOTE: The Chicago Police Department will try to compel you to talk to the Feds regarding any investigation the Feds are doing. The Feds use the CPD to try and force you to talk and if you don't they will call in a boss and he will order you to cooperate or you will be administratively accused/charged with disobeying a direct order, failure to cooperate in a law enforcement investigation, failure to perform any task, function or duty and bringing discredit on the Department. NOTE2: Take the administrative CR. It doesn't matter if you ask the Feds if you are a target of their investigation before answering any questions. They will either say yes you are or no you're not, HOWEVER, you can be a witness or a "resource interview or cooperating individual," and based upon what you say, or what you fail to say, disclose or even forget about, you can turn into a target and can talk yourself into, or omit information (even if it's by their perception only) into being criminally charged. NOTE3: Your answer to the administrative CR is simply: The R/O, through previous advice of counsel was unable to communicate with investigators from X, Y or Z because any knowledge or information provided by R/O, or any unintentional misstatement or oversight by (him/her) to these investigators exposed (him/her) to criminal charging based upon the opinion of the Federal investigator(s). By law the R/O cannot be compelled or coerced through administrative action or order to any action that may or will force (him/her) to provide knowledge or information or perceptually withhold knowledge or information that can cause (him/her) to be criminally charged. Such action is a violation of (his/her) constitutional rights, not to be superseded by administrative action or order. There is/was no intent of disrespect or disregard of the processes of the Chicago Police Department. There is/was no intent to obstruct or interfere with any law enforcement investigation, or to impede the mission or goals of the CPD, and no intent to bring any discredit to the Department through any action of the R/O. The R/O acted in the manner necessary to protect (his/her) constitutionally guaranteed rights protected by law. NOTE whatever: By the time they try and talk to you they already have substantial information and will charge you with or without your cooperation if they have enough. You're just the icing! Simple statement to the Feds - I demand representation of an attorney. I will not speak to you and will not submit to any interview or interrogation and want to leave. Then remain mute or repeat that statement. Do not say anything that can be disproven like I am innocent, I've done nothing wrong, you got the wrong guy or anything like that. If they can show you spit on the sidewalk, dropped a gum wrapper, jaywalked, flipped off another driver, didn't use your turn signal while changing lanes, etc., you just lied to them and can be charged. SHUT UP AND LEAVE THEIR PRESENCE, and ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have another credible person with you while in the presence of any Federal investigator. They interview and interrogate in pairs, one to speak and one to act as a witness. You also need a witness.

"Heads-up," really? By the time you hear the sound, and feel the pain, the shot has already been fired. If the Fed's "have a case," it was made long before they knocked on any officers door. They fully expect us to not make voluntary statements or admissions; interviews are a mere formality. Here's a little advice: keep your hands clean (not sticky) and never give-in to any conduct that can cause you to lose your job and/or go to jail. Also, remember you only have 1 "original" report. So take the time to get it right....your livelihood may depend on it!

OT...or maybe not. I'm reading about the case in Lake County where the Zion PO will not be charged in the shooting of another innocent black youth. Mom says her son didn't deserve to die. She is going to sue in federal court. This is another case ofthe white police killing an innocent youth. She does not dispute the facts of the case, that he went to buy a gun or that he decided to steal it instead. That it fired during his dispute with the seller. That he ran with the gun in his hand, police in pursuit. That independent witnesses saw him running with the gun. That he turned toward the officer who repeatedly ordered him to stop, with the officer firing twice and killing the offender. That the medical examiner ruled that the wounds were consistent with him being turned. Nothing from Mom or her camp about any of the facts.
Only this: I am suing.

Radio news now reporting that FBI joining investigation of Phila. train wreck due to possibility of "projectile" having struck engineer. Windshield of wrecked train will be carefully analyzed; also will investigate reports of at least two other trains in area having been struck.
Some hate-filled fool out there may have killed several people. Took cadaver dogs to locate the last victim and hydraulic shears to get them out...
If this turns out to be the story, hope it qualifies for the death penalty...give Tsarnaev a little company there at Terre Haute while he dreams of needles, syringes, tubing...

011 second watch, has a new traffic guy who manages to get into at least 2 vehicle pursuits per week. Somehow, they always end up on I 290.
It's a matter of time before this goof hurts or kills himself, or someone else.

And the police should try respecting the people we serve. Respect is a two way street . Almost 21 years in and I can say that I have rarely been disrespected working the south & west sides. The racial grievances are real. Before I became the police I was dropping off a 16 year old male co-worker in my parents car, I made a stop at my mother's request and left this guy in the car. When I came back 10 minutes later, two plain clothes officers had the the 16 year old face down on the hood searching him. The other officer was searching under the seats of my parents nondescript VW Rabbit. No sign of probable cause. This went on until I approached and the officer asked me who owned the car. When I informed him that my father, a detective from Area 2, owned the car suddenly all searching stopped. Of course, nothing was found but a 16 year old kid was unnecessarily humiliated, his rights were violated and my parents car was searched without a drop of probable cause. The grievances are real whether you think so or not.

If I used your argument then whites actually commit the most crime in America. Murders, armed robberies, rapes, assaults, thefts, etc. Whites even shoot & wound/kill more police than blacks do. Why? Because there are 100 million of us. But blacks (and hispanics-- the 96% stat (which is a false number) is of blacks and hispanics altogether) are a minority who also commit a lot of crime, so the rate in which they commit crime is higher compared to whites. You get where I'm going with this? More whites are killed by police, but the RATE in which police kill blacks is far greater compared to police killing whites.

Yeah, but 96 % percent of all violent crime is committed by blacks not whites. So even though blacks commit the vast majority of crime in this country we still shoot less blacks than whites.

Nevermind, I did some looking up of stats. Per FBI STATS, in 2012 there were (I'm rounding) 6.5 million white and 2.6 million black arrests. The only two categories where black arrests outpaced white were murder (100 more arrests) and robbery (10,000 more), two pretty bad facts. In all other crimes, whites were arrested in far greater numbers. In 2012 whites made up approx 76% and blacks 13% of the American population. So while whites outpopulate blacks by 6-1 or so, whites are arrested by less than a 3-1 ratio. Which means that blacks are arrested in greater numbers in proportion to their representation in the population. Id like to see stats where crimes committed by race are counted. I couldn't find those.
But to say that 98% of crimes are committed by blacks is an overestimation, by far. Thats just the facts ma'am.

While I wouldn't claim the 98% number was valid, I would remind you Chicago's crime numbers are not accepted or included in the official FBI stats because our department fails to comply with FBI reporting standards.

You're wrong I am a cop, for 21 years. I've only worked south and I've been proactive. Neither me nor my family have been sent down the road to financial ruination. Stop with the ridiculous paranoia and do

The NYPD did a study for the years (IIRC) 2011-12 and discovered that 96% of all violent crime was committed by blacks. The results of this study was based upon what victims were telling the NYPD, not what the NYPD said. Furthermore, go to 001,018 and just listen to the radio for awhile and then come back and tell me, based upon the flash messages that you hear, which race is responsible for most violent crime.
