Few people know this, but we were part of the team mapping the human genome. It was a massive undertaking, but we were a tiny cog in the large machine that may one day lead to all sorts of cures for all sorts of diseases. Why, just the other day, we discovered a familial attraction to lead. Observe the Tribune article:
- The uncle of an 11-year-old boy fatally wounded Wednesday at his Park Manor neighborhood home has been charged with manslaughter in the boy's death.
Eurel L. Wilford, 19, of Rockford, was charged Friday in the death of his nephew Antwone Earl Price Jr., according to court documents. Wilford was charged with with involuntary manslaughter and unlawful use of a weapon, said Cook County state's attorney's office....
How is this scientific you may ask? Read on....
- The boy's father, Antwone Earl Price Sr., was found shot dead with another man in Price's parked white Camaro on May 22, 2013, in the Englewood neighborhood. At the time of his death, his grandmother, Myrtis Price, said her son, Anthony Price, who was the older Antwone Price's father, was shot and killed in 2000.
Not only was he felled by lead, but his father and grandfather were both victims of this pervasive disease. We aren't sure what form the cure will take, but one day....

We are sorry, but we will not be renewing the research grant. We will not be able to fund any further research, due to the 3rd generation subject's demise from lead poisoning before he could produce a 4th generation test subject. This genetic line has reached a dead end.

Off Topic-Anyone know where this Sgt V of CTA Special Employment came from? Which Alderman or Reverend made phone calls for this nightmare? Talking to her is like talking to a 6 year old child! Yellow hair from botched dye job, wears Blk Eddie Bauer boots up to here knees while working in uniform, walks in late everyday, while the blue shirts wait and wait!!!talks to guys on the job with 35 years like they just came from the academy!!who is her juice, the straight time pay or even double time pay is not worth the aggravation.

You have Eurel, Antwone, & Myrtis. Anthony seems was an anomally, that happens time to time.
Funny names bring misfortune.
Just look at your president and your mayor.

thats why i started working other shifts sgt.v is a nightmare. ...people think they are doing us a favor by working cta and vri ...sure the money is good but the department needs us more than we need them with the manpower issues if t gets really bad i will just work navy pier and the united center and join tact again or saturation to work vre...last time i worked special this goofball sgt. told me she would send me home because I was not clean shaven but they will giveme a pass this time!!! first off i have a bump card and i would love to file a discrimination law suit because i could use a few bucks or sgt.stripes...they should appreciate us working our days off not make life harder and with the impending retirements,hiring freezes,and low man power o.t. aint going nowhere so they better play nice.

...Police said two suspects tried to break into the home north of downtown St. Louis twice before the shooting on Thursday. On the third try, authorities said the unidentified teen went through the home's unlocked front door while the 11-year-old and a 4-year-old girl were home alone. Police said the younger boy shot the teen in the head. The would-be burglar's body was found in the home's front foyer.
Investigators said no one else was hurt in the incident. The second suspect fled the scene after the shooting, but was later taken into custody.

Sgt. V is an ex CPS teacher. Totally useless, recommended by another goofy Sgt. already there. You are out of your mind if you work special under her direct supervision. Others have already caught on to her antics. Many times she will only have one or two people show up. She then wonders why. Her dog died and she took it upon herself to go home one day while working. Trouble is, A couple of P.O.'s were involved in a traffic accident that day and she was nowhere to be found.
Just start the movie off with an ethnic wedding and its perfect.

A very shallow gene pool?
I have been working CTA for the last 25 plus years and have never worked for a completely clueless Sgt like VM. Sgt VM shows up with a uniform that looks like she found it in a dumpster and has yet to wash it. Her leather gear is so worn out and unserviceable that it looks like relics from the civil war. The boots she wears look horrible and they should be burned immediately. I made a few calls and found out that she is of all things a "Merit" Sgt. Her nominator is none other than the legendary singing and preaching Captain(former commander) Penelope of 020. Now that explains why Sgt VM is the way she is.
Have some pride in your appearance VM. The LT should send you home for not being in proper uniform,
