It's Thursday, so the hurricane flags should be flying at 35th Street today....except for one thing:
- Police Supt. Garry McCarthy is on his honeymoon in Greece.
We thought the bosses all looked a bit more relaxed, as if they had a good bowel movement and their sphincters weren't clenched hard enough to produce diamonds from coal. We think we even saw one boss smile. No word if CompStat is going international.

Like it not Jones made SGT and LT by score. Just goes to show, doesn't matter if you make by score or merit, A jag off is still a jag off.
Just remember, 70% or LTs and SGTs are made by rank order off the list. So 7 out of 10. If you did a poll, or some kind of supervisory 360 degree evaluation you'll find the supervisors that rank lowest in confidence by the troops, not all, but most will be those made by score. They might be smart but they dont have the stones to make decisions. Again, not all, but most.
Political job insurance for Garry? Rahm is tight with the extended Laurino clan (ghost pay rolling, hired trucks, City College scamming, etc.), so Garry's new spouse may help in terms of his job longevity.
