Life With No Parole

  • Marcus Floyd was sentenced to life without parole on Tuesday for the murder of off-duty Chicago Police Officer Thomas Wortham IV in 2010.

A long chapter has finally come to an end for the Wortham family, but the pain will always persist. It has almost been six years since the off-duty Chicago police officer was shot and killed in front of his childhood home during a robbery attempt.

With two people already convicted and sentenced to life in prison, Floyd was the final defendant. While he did not fire the gun, Floyd will also be spending the rest of his life behind bars.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Keep the Wortham family in your thoughts and prayers this holiday season! A great family that lost one brave, courageous man! God Bless.

Justice would be served if the State tied this animal to a chair, left him in a room, and told the family of the deceased they could take whatever they want in there and work on the killer. They get 1 hour, and he shouldn't be living at the end of that hour. Record it and broadcast. If no one from the victim's family has the stomach for inflicting righteous punishment, they can elect a surrogate to do so or let the State appoint a punisher.

Again: asshole is cuffed on a chair, shackled, and you get to bring in anything you want. Sharp pointy objects, blow torch, car battery, pellet guns, firearms, potato peelers... let your imagination roam free...

Death penalty could have saved money and was the more appropriate conclusion if available. RIP Officer

He probably wouldn't have gotten the death sentence anyway, since he doesn't fire a weapon. It would have been a nice option though.

Life without parole. What's the big deal. Once in prison he'll be better off. Free college education, free food, place to sleep, and if you got some $$ dope is there too. Bring back the death penalty.

Thanks to George Ryan for trying to save his skin for making the rest of having to feed and house three people who deserved the needle very much.

Killing a man over a motorcycle, and people wonder why cops are distant
