Prayers do nothing for the fallen. Do something worthwhile like donate to the family. Quit pretending your doing something by "praying". That's simply being fucking lazy!
Dear god please let those buildings burn when they are industrial /business etc. . I'm so very sorry to all his loved ones and fellow ff. Very sad day for all!

For what it's worth, I've never understood this supposed CFD vs CPD thing. I spent many a Sunday afternoon being welcomed into their house and having lunch or dinner and watching football. Like a good guest, I would often bring beverages to my hosts.

I am retired CPD and I went to a bar in Evergreen Park (for the first time) tonight with my wife for a drink and some appetizers. We walked in and realized that the entire place was packed with CFD and EPFD. Unbeknown to us it was the place that Dan Capuano liked to go to. It was a somber but beautiful tribute to their fallen brother. The owner bought shots for everyone and made a heartfelt toast. I'm sure there were many more after we left. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the entire CFD for the unfortunate loss of a dedicated firefighter and a true hero. God Bless.

A tragic loss and a terrible blow to the CFD and the Capuano Family. May God shine his light upon Dan and his family. Officers out there on the street, please stop by at a fire station during your travels and express your condolences. even thou it may not be the house where Dan was assigned, it shows your respect for their loss. I know I was always happy being the Police and not a Firefighter, don't like ladders, smoke or flames. RIP DAN CAPUANO
