Yeah, not Watching

Bears favored (3.5) again for some reason. But we can't bring ourselves to care.

On the other side of the sporting season, the Department ought to be looking at the possibility the Cubs might break a century-plus old curse. It certainly is different to see an ownership group who actually wants to win.

The erratic play of the Bears is a time-waster to watch.

"Wait til next year" seems to be starting to apply to the Bears as well.

Now using this at Guantanamo Bay:

Civilian here.

Speaking of sports, how about suggesting to the protestors that they hit Rahm, right where it could hurt? Maybe they could put pressure on Roger Goodell and the NFL to change their minds about holding the NFL Draft in Grant Park (or maybe not, then they could "greet" the attendees with protests. That would be a great visual, wouldn't it?

Speaking of WTF: per Sneed, no Christmas tree in the State of Illinois Building because it costs the State. . . . . . now get ready for this. . . . . . . . . are you sitting down, $20,000 to put the tree up. Guess the Governor has adopted Rahm's mantra, never let a good crisis go to waste. Hmmm, couldn't find a corporate sponsor to come up with 20K? How about it JPMorgan Chase, Macy's, our professional sports teams, Ken Griffin, and all the other corporate welfare parasites?

Be safe out there ladies and gentlemen in blue. Thanks for all your efforts. As they say, this, too, shall pass.

I'll watch...but after last week I don't know why. Soooooo many ways to put that game away and...Pffft!...nada.

And I DON'T mean, nor blame that it was because of Cutler. That Pick-Six was due SOLELY to Film Study by the CB, not an 'errant throw'. He saw the formation from the film, the blocking that was developing per the film then it was -- Bam!...off to the races for Six.

The fact is that loss was a team effort, like the dumb penalties. And it was 'prolly' Robbie Gould's worst day as a kicker in his entire life. Two missed 'gimee' Field Goals. Who'd a thunk that, sports fans.

Oh well (sigh), Go Bears.
Don't let the Redskins put your scalp on their locker room wall today. Chew 'em up and spit 'em out boys.

So by your standards, the Cubs will have to win two World Series in a row to be real? Fat chance, they can't get one under their belt.
1908, the Cubs played on the south side back then, Polk and Wood streets. So I guess we can say the north side never had a champion.
It is a hoot to watch you wrigleyville losers on the news reports, crying in your beer after the past several Cubs collapses in the playoffs.

But the owners love when you suckers spend your money going to the game, hoping, praying they can do it. NOT!!! Most delusional fans ever, CHICAGO FANS.

Think of it in a historical perspective.

The Cubs last pennant win was before the Titanic went down. Two World Wars were fought.

Since then, look at everything that came out.

The 1911 .45 ACP was not even sold at that time. The Thompson sub-machine gun and the M-1 Garand weren't invented yet. They came later.

Television was invented. The transistor was invented. The Atomic Bomb was invented. The computer. The PC. The Smartphone.

Backing the Cubs? Why? They haven't been relevant since BEFORE World War I.

As Patton said, "America loves winners." Well the Cubs are Losers for OVER a century. Anyone still backing the Cubs is un-American.

Wake up. Perpetually backing a loser has to rub off on your own motivated quest for success.

Now that the Ricketts own the Cubs are they going to rename the Wrigleyville neighborhood Rickettsville? Sounds like the name of a hospital ward.
