Again, Targeting Police Houses

- Just passing along some info.The wifes aunt (lives at 103 and Christiana) found a sign on the tree in front of her house this morning.The sign read something like "how do you like the pooolice now, get rid of rahm ". Police were called, took report, seems other houses on block were targeted. Targets are P.O. s homes.Don't know if there's reason for concern or if this bears more looking into.Stay safe.

How soft are you people? Take the stickers and medallions off your car already. It's a nice gesture to get get the police memorial plates but dump those too. All this stuff does is ask for you car to be fucked with and helps people easier target your house.

I took the FOP plaque off my teen son's car after my husband drove (CPD) it to work one day and "someone" loosened the lug nuts all the way down in the parking lot. Luckily the wheel didn't fall off until he was close to home and driving on a residential street - only aggravation was having to pay 100 bucks for the tow truck. But what if he or our son had been driving on the Ryan? Of course there wasn't a working camera in the parking lot. We can't get out of this godforsaken city fast enough.
Keep an eye out. These people are nuts and cowards. That is not a good combination.
Did anyone see Steinbergg article in the Sun Times referring to the "in bred Mount Greenwood police mentality"????This does"nt help the police living in the Mount Greenwood Community..He sounded childish.

IN 16 they would Not even give you a report. similar things happening along northwest highway and talcott, gets blown off, a sgt told the POs family that "no crime" had been committed
I had cameras installed inside and outside my home. I can view them from my smart phone anytime I want. I would suggest that for any copper. They are not expensive. 2 grand and you get the DVR and 4 cameras, those inside the home are hidden. Well worth it.

Was hanging Christmas lights the other day and out of the corner of my eye saw a car stopped in middle of the street. Dude was driving, pulled out a camera and snapped a picture. Don't know if he was taking a picture of me, my house or neighbor's house, (he was in between). Edison Park neighborhood, can't describe the car anymore more than to say it was red, newer model. read the article, isn't he the "wife beater?" such an upstanding coward! On subject took all stickers off the cars, it is a shame you cannot be proud to be CPD, but the elected will reap what they sow, and rahm look at city hall windows your in the spotlight how does this "backfire" feel? Get a good video of one of these and see what the media does with what would be the appropriate attempted murder charges. Maybe it hits a parked car going 20, maybe it hits a school bus driving the limit, maybe the trucker behind sees it, dumps air, and jackknifes...anyone performing this act knows full well the possible results.
If anyone IS killed -- first-degree murder, as many counts as are needed, and be sure to run them all consecutive.
Something similar happened to a policeman in 025. At his house someone left a bar stool on his front porch. There were signs that stated "black lives matter".

I think it used to make a little difference, in a more homogeneous, civilized society. Sign of police presence, bit of deterrence.

I saw the same thing, different guy though. I went up to the car and asked him what he's taking a picture of. He told me he worked for some appraisers office and they are doing comps in the area. M/2/30s beard black four door sedan

I live in mount greenwood and mytire was slashed last weekend while it was parked in my driveway.I forgot I still had the police Medallion on my car. tire replaced & medallion gone.

But the idiots who buy and read the Slum Times can't read a big word like that nor do they know how to find it in a dictionary. I would like to know where your word "drunk" comes from because bone, hard and inflexible are part of the definition. The media guy, I will not call him a writer, suggests in his article that all police are drunks. That's the same a saying Stienburg went to the Northwestern school of lying. I assume (to take as granted or true) that all media personalities want to be Pulitzer Prize winners. That's an assumption Stienburg probably holds.

The foundation guy lives across the street on the Evergreen side and he told me he's seen a lot of bs out of that house from out his window. The night the tires got slashed around there he caught 2 m/1 ripping down his irish flag right on 103rd. Broke the rear taillight with a garden gnome and gave their plate# to 022.
