Ford at it Again

  • State Rep. La Shawn Ford (D-8) has filed legislation in Springfield which would provide for a mechanism for recalling the Mayor of Chicago. The bill is House Bill 4356.

Ford's bill is of course not submitted arbitrarily. With a recent poll suggesting an outright majority of Chicagoans want Rahm Emanuel to resign, Emanuel being steadfast that he will not do so, and no existing legal mechanism in place by which Emanuel might otherwise be removed from office, HB4356 could very well become a very hot topic in Springfield.
This is the guy who shorted the IRS and faced seventeen felony charges for tax evasion. Miraculously, he pled guilty to a single misdemeanor count and evaded prison. Funny how the feds backed off so quickly ...almost like they got some pressure or phone calls from somewhere....bigger. And now Ford is "writing" legislation to remove Rahm from office.

But that wouldn't ever happen, not in Chicago. But it makes one wonder who is pulling what strings.

This guy couldn't even spell "legislation", let alone draft it. Hell, I'd bet he can't spell "mayor" either.

Hear that over the band playing?

It's the TItanic finally cracking in half. People are scrambling all over as there is no doubt she is sinking.

The ship's crew is getting anxious. They are also finding out there isn't enough lifeboats to go around. Some are going to be left on the ship - even some of the First Class passengers.

Those who thought clout was unsinkable, untouchable are panicking.

Que the "Nearer My God to Thee" from the Band.

That is the democrat politician's way. Raise taxes, knowing the you will not be paying those taxes. Neat huh?

Sooner or later the racial agitators will be forced to confront the fact that all of the things they're complaining about were enabled by 40+ year old Democrat machines in Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis, etc. Those big scary police departments didn't hire themselves, nor did they take marching orders from imaginary mayors and council/aldermen. This could potentially turn into an ugly civil war on the left.

If it gets RID OF RAHM! Then I'm all for it.

We better plan for a city and a Department after Rahm.

One thing we must do if we are to get anything out of the future or keep anything we already have is to get every cop and their family and friends to register and vote.

The Democommunists will do a lot of vote fraud and we need to get as many legit votes out there as possible.

I would rather have a two term limit for all Politicians in the State from the Governor all the way down to the pocal Aldermen! That way we can have fresh eyes every few years no matter what! We don't need career political hacks like the Madigans!

Who is paying for all the protesters? The black caucus, the teacher's union, or a combination of all the mutts? I hope they thought it through and have a good plan, rather than just causing chaos and turning the entire city into englewoods!

How many big African American bosses on this job, and African American politicians either saw this video or at least knew about it long before it was released? (Al Wysinger maybe) As long as Rahm has the support of his friend in the White House he is going nowhere. Good thing about all of this is that any aspirations he had of being Vice President or a cabinet position are rapidly circling the drain.

Regardless of the motivation behind this and its probability of success, if this legislation truly empowers the voting public then I'm for it. Couple this with term limits, and maybe we can turn this ship around.

This two term limit thing sounds like a good idea. Their first term can be in office, the second term can be in prison.

Why are the Aldermen of Chicago paid over $150,000 + a year with an 85% pension all for a part time job? All other citizens working part time jobs get peanuts and no insurance, we don't get pensions! Get rid of half of them! Save this City money!

Forget Chiraq.

With all the deadbeats now walking around the city like the Walking Dead, Chicago should be renamed Chinglewood.

Chinglewood - that has sort of a ring to it. The cancer has overtaken the host body.

The recall legislation should have fop's support. Only in Illinois is there no provision to remove a crook from office.

Love it criminal wants another criminal gone! never would buy a Ford and never trust any either! This clown gets media attention,as he slowly talks, and what goofs let him still hold office? let me guess barry called to drop charges and take care of this criminal?

in rahms bay news conference he was talking about how we have "no second class citizens, and everyone should be treated the same like his family! goody do we all get bodyguards driving tanks like storm troopers plowing through red lights at hyper speeds? If my kid has his phone taken will a swat team and entire detective unit be on scene using "stingray" technology to recover it? will the felons be caught and released because the case report has major errors lets say? will coppers be suspended for looking at my kids report as he will be deemed "to important?"

Chicago will learn the hard way that a strong police force is necessary. Unfortunately it will be after a wave of crime or a terrorist attack. People will want the police and when they look around expecting the police to take care of business they won't be there and it will have been their own doing by ostracizing the police from their world, whether it be the silent majority or the vile protesters. You get what you ask for. Good luck people of Chicago. One day soon you'll feel what the police are feeling now; completely alone and helpless.

It would be nice if Ward could first deal with the killing ground within his district on its east end. Then explain how he forgot to pay his taxes, then spends all his time in the western part of his district while only showing up on the westside for photo opts. Media! . . . media! . . . (chirp) . . .(chirp)

Were you told not to report on him again. Shame on you guys. We know how you troll here for other stories.
