Concealed Carrier Strikes Again!
- An employee at a Far South Side cellphone retailer shot two would-be robbers late Wednesday morning, at least the second time in a week a worker has shot two robbery suspects at a Chicago business, according to police and store officials.
Two men drew handguns as they entered a cell phone store, 2051 E. 95th St., in the Calumet Heights neighborhood around 11 a.m., prompting one of the workers at the store to take out his own firearm and shoot them, according to an account from employees given to Neil Tadros, who identified himself as the district manager for T-Mobile.
The employee shot both of the suspects, but they fled the store, got in a car and drove themselves to the hospital, Tadros said. At the time the suspects brandished weapons, employees acted, “pretty much to protect themselves when guns are drawn at them,” Tadros said.
“Thank God for concealed carry.”

People like the aclu and all our liberal politicians must really be scratching their heads and wondering what this city has become when law-abiding people can actually defend themselves. To those of you who are not as fortunate as these store owners because you cannot afford a gun or you have been brainwashed to believe that guns are evil, if and when you are the victim of a violent crime or are killed by the savage beast you can thank the aclu, the media and our democratic politicians eg potus, pelosi,hillary,emmanual,prickwinkle,dart fr faker and double J for giving the savage beast uncontrolled and unrestricted hunting laws in the pursuit of their prey, you the citizen. The "No Guns" stickers were not inspired by decades of ever-worsening and more depraved violent crime -- which "Great Society" liberals A. foment, B. silence discussion of, and C. cravenly try to move away from themselves.
They were a very recent and immediate "No, you can't" panic response to concealed carry by decent, law-abiding citizens.
After all, someone might injure or even kill a valuable criminal, thereby slowing up the programmed destruction of Western society, and endangering myriad government grants and highly-paid, useless positions set up to "study" the problem while actually exacerbating it.
Citizens = 4, armed robbers = 0, just in the last couple days.
Oh, oh. Police only killed 9 assailants all last year.

Those two stick up men are in big trouble for violating the anti gun sign. The armed robbery and gun shot wounds to the groin are the least of their worries.
The law-abiding citizens of this city need to wake up.
The days of proactive police work are over. The police will only react to crimes already committed. Evidence technician work, etc. Due to the actions of a few bad apples, police officers are fearful of being criminally charged and/or sued and being the main star in a "made for TV perp-walk" for the media. So I do not blame the police.
Responsible citizens need to arm themselves. Take the classes, train yourselves and get your conceal carry permit. Protect yourselves and your families. Material things can always be replaced. Who cares about cell phones, laptops and televisions? But you will never fully recover from a brutal attack. You will never be the same. And if you are killed, your family will never recover from your murder.
Good luck to all of us decent, law-abiding, hard-working, tax-paying citizens of Chicago including the good and true members of our local law enforcment againcies. We deserve better. E.P.

Technically, this one example is a non-compliant sign, and does not count.
A person with a CCL could not get found guilty over a sign like this, but could probably still get arrested.
The sign on the liquor store looked like a compliant sign.
But, yes, it all boils down to the criminal: neither sign applies to them.

I know in at least one other state, a no firearms sign means no one, including employees, the owner and CCW holders can legally carry on the premises. Is that not the case in Illinois?
The City won't do anything to the Offenders, they won't collect their ANOV fines for the UUW, FOID, Unregistered weaponry and neither will the State or Crook County. PrickWrinkles and DuhDart will give them ankle bracelets and some community service.
The Media won't show the Offenders 6th Grade CPS graduation lpicture or publish their last known publicly-subsidized address.

Some are humorous commentary on the irony.
Some, however, are not.

SCC, you really need to stop with the liberal connotation that they are the only ones who have 'no gun' signs posted. Lots of people, even conservative business owners, have that option, and I'm sure those signs are up in a number of establishments owned by conservatives (go check out Ditka's restaurants, they are posted there too). We all know those signs are totally ineffective against criminals, which I'm sure everyone here knows don't follow laws and ordinances. Enough of the BS already.
I wear a gun almost everywhere I go. If there's no metal detection equipment at the door (and no pat downs or wanding by employees), no one is going to see my concealed firearm. And no one is going to see it while I am inside of any establishment either, unless me or my family are threatened. I expect that is how many CCW permit holders are dealing with the 'no guns' signs posted when they approach a business they wish to enter.

Those no gun signs are a twisted joke. Recently my brother was visiting a restaurant in our fair city and happened to ask the manager about the no gun sign. He explained to the manager that criminals aren't the types to follow rules anyway so the only real effect the sign has is to render his law-abiding customers defenseless. The manager admitted that he supported concealed carry but that the city inspectors had visited him and "convinced" him that the sign should be put up.
Another example of Chicago values.

Now I'm really confused. My lefty friends assure me that concealed carry is no good at protecting yourself, because the bad guy already has their gun out and has the drop on you? Now, twice in one week, a plain old citizen out shoots 2 bad guys who already have their guns drawn. You'd almost think the thugs can't shoot worth a damn if it's not a 9 year old being held down and the citizens actually practice. Only solution, shut down or over tax all those ranges where carriers practice.
You going to see alot more of this, as I am NOT stopping people anymore that I know, based on my 20 plus years of hunches, police experience, informants, etc. because then I would have to do an I.S.R [Investigatory Stop Report] for you media trolls, on the future criminal victims.
I cannot say I stopped Pookie based on Police experience, hunches or just knowing Pookie, is just plain bad, because that is NOT Allowed under ACLU standards and guidelines lest I get with some kind of infraction, suspension, etc.!

A MAN finishes school and gets a job and supports himself and his family. He does not point a gun at someone, threaten their life and steal their earnings.

Looks like the robbers are targeting the stores with the no gun stickers.
Two offenders wounded and in the hospital and not the morgue.
If they didn't drop their weapon(s) at the scene I hope they were visible on video otherwise they will lie their asses off and sue.
T-Mobile may have a no employee may be armed policy and fire that employee. It is cheaper to let them get killed than risk the liability of an employee shooting someone.
Here's an idea. Why not have decals made for these store owners for their front doors. A skull with a hole in it for every offender righteously killed and a silhouette with a smoking hole it for each one wounded. They could be displayed like fighter jocks display their kills on their cockpits.

The sign doesn't match the one the ISP and the law designated, so legally, no.
(not a lawyer but took the 16-hour long course to get a carry license in IL where we read the law line by line)

How about some logic. People asking if the two mutts would have been, if they'd survived, with violating the "no Guns" sign. The answer is no. Read the law. The "shall not" section applies only to "persons licensed under this act", so persons illegally carrying concealed firearms are not bound by the signs. Makes sense, right? And, for those of you who had something better than learning grammar in grammar school, it's concealed carry, not " conceal" carry.

Open carry and concealed carry are two very different things. Most of those who choose to open carry do so in order to gain the attention of the police, so that they can "exercise their right" and sue the police for violating their rights for even questioning them. Watch the YouTube videos of these clowns, recording themselves being stopped by police, refusing to answer even the simplest questions, just looking for a payday. None of that has anything to do with concealed carry.
