CPD's Lawyer is Who?

This report came out a little over two weeks ago, but we just managed to locate the article we were looking for:
  • Facing calls for his resignation amid allegations of a police killing cover-up, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has relied on his former Clinton administration colleagues for support and guidance. Now his administration is set to deliver taxpayer cash to one of those allies to defend the Chicago Police Department in a federal civil rights probe.

According to Crain’s Chicago Business, Emanuel’s administration has hired Wilmer Hale’s Jamie Gorelick, who was a Clinton Justice Department official at the time Emanuel served as a Clinton White House aide. The magazine notes that “the Washington, D.C., firm has 14 offices but no presence in Chicago” and that hourly “billing rates for lawyers working on the case will range from $290 to $1,200” — money that will come from Chicago taxpayers. In announcing the deal, Emanuel's top legal official said the city chose Gorelick and her politically connected firm to represent it in the federal probe because they bring "the credibility of being somebody that the folks on the other side know."
We remembered the name "Jamie Gorelick" from a series of scandals, most notably during the Clinton years for building the so-called "wall" that forbade US intelligence services from sharing information with domestic law enforcement (the FBI) prior to 9/11.

Her firm also began to defend Duke University from the lawsuit that came about after Duke railroaded the entire lacrosse team for a non-existent sex crime. When Duke lost the motion to dismiss, her law firm bailed, most likely sensing that this was a loser case for the university that they didn't want to be associated with.
  • Emanuel was appointed by President Bill Clinton in 2000 to a $320,000 job on the board of federal mortgage giant Freddie Mac. His lucrative stint there overlapped with Gorelick’s time at Freddie Mac’s sister agency Fannie Mae, where she made $25 million as a top executive from 1997 to 2003. Neither Gorelick or Emanuel had financial experience before getting those jobs, and their government-backed corporations were slammed by many experts as factors in the housing meltdown that fueled the financial crisis.
$25 million in an industry she had zero experience in that was about to meltdown. No wonder Rahm hired her.

Do we even have an investigative media in this town?

Carol Marin ( yeah, quit screaming she's a police hater),was a pretty good investigator at one time. But she's narrowed her focus on police misconduct while ignoring the blatant bullshit from Madigan, Rahm, and former Mayor Daley. None of the MSM go after these thieves and incompetents. Come on Carol, go after Rahm!

Bet you don't.

This should tell us one of two things:

1. The fix is in to get City/CPD off hook

or

2. Smelling a sinking ship and no chance of re-election, Rahm is spreading taxpayer funds to friends before bailing.

SCC asks:

"Do we even have an investigative media
in this town?"

Uhhh...
We wouldn't exactly call local media
"investigative" by any stretch of the
imagination, but their so called
"investigative" talents do seem to
begin and end at noisily rifling
through the panty drawer of
Policemen and their family members.

Keep puttin' it on 'em, SCC...

The only unbought, un-fucked-with,
unfiltered information source in this
hellish, devil filled, forsaken by GOD town.

The powers-that-be are getting nervous.

They aren't liking the fact that
you're Policing like you have no friends.

You are sooooo screwed!

Jamie Gorelick is the Master of Disaster!

Her policies are responsible for the failure to prevent the 9/11 disaster.
She should have been in the dock, not one of the experts on the 9/11 commission.
She was also on the board of Fannie Mae and pimping houses for everyone, no income required, when the housing market crashed.
I am surprised that her firm was smart enough to bail on the Duke University Lacrosse Team Lynching.

At least we know where the next disaster will occur!

Financed by the Chicago Taxpayer.
And the CPD Pension Fund will still be underfunded.

Jamie Gorlick also managed Fannie, which gave out mortgages to people who didn't qualify, which eventually caused the housing market to collapse. These same ones keep turning up like bad pennies. Makes you think that somewhere there is a "man behind the curtain" pulling strings, to weaken this nation. Funny Rahm keeps popping up too. What us in store for Chicago? I shudder at the thought.

Don't miss a Key Point about Gorelick and that "Wall" created by her between the FBI and CIA.; many in the Intel Community blame that "Wall" as being a major factor in the failure to coordinate information prior to 9/11 between the agencies. In other words, that Wall contributed to 9/11 because the information on the Terrorists who carried out 9/11 were on the radar for both agencies, but they were barred from sharing that info thanks to Ms. Gorelick. Then, as an Elitist Washington Insider, Gorelick managed to get herself on the 9/11 Commission to cover her tracks, and the Clinton Administration's negligence, so they could blame Bush, even though the Clinton Administration had 8 years to protect us from these Terrorists. Ms. Gorelick is the Ultimate Fixer and Rahm must be very desperate to bring her in. Remember, the issue now is: What did he know, and when did he know it. And for those of you too young to remember Nixon, these are the questions that brought Nixon down. Baby"G"

Rahm does want Rahm wants to do. He laughs at the protesters, the revs and the media. In the end, they all fall at his feet and do his bidding. They are all terrified of him, and that includes the Black and Hispanic caucus'. If these groups heard what he said about them "privately", they might be a bit angry.

This is just another ploy by Rahm to try and grease future opportunities by "hooking up" old partners in crime. He hooks her up now, and when he loses the election and has no prospects she hooks him up with something later. It's the way of the political world. And in the end it's the working guy who pays for it all. Rahn is and always has been a worthless scumbag.

But it is evident, the guy is a complete loser.

Jamie Gorelick is slime: Would Rahm hire someone who is honest?

"On March 25, 2015, Schlumberger Oilfield Holdings Ltd., a subsidiary of Schlumberger Ltd., pled guilty to conspiring to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act by engaging in illegal transactions and engaging in trade with Iran and Sudan in violation of sanctions against those two regimes.
Jamie Gorelick, a former Deputy Attorney General in the Clinton Administration, served on Schlumberger’s board from 2002 until, curiously, June 3, 2010, covering the entire period of illicit Iran and Sudan trade."

Read more at NetRightDaily.com: http://netrightdaily.com/2015/04/did-jamie-gorelick-violate-iran-sanctions/#ixzz3yAOJW9JW

Gorelick was on the Vice Chairman at Fannie Mae and clearly benefited from their accounting fraud:

"Fannie decided to recognize only $200 million [of losses], deferring the other half. That allowed Fannie's executives — whose bonus plan is linked to earnings-per-share — to meet the target for maximum bonus payouts. The target EPS for maximum payout was $3.23 and Fannie reported exactly . . . $3.2309. This bull's-eye was worth $1.932 million to then-CEO James Johnson, $1.19 million to then-CEO-designate Franklin Raines, and $779,625 to then-Vice Chairman Jamie Gorelick."

"As for other losses, they were routinely mischaracterized so that they could be amortized over years, not realized fully as they were supposed to be. By this method, the Fannie Mae management siphoned off millions of dollars in excess compensation to top management, including Gorelick"
